Hinata, Tsukiyo and the others made their way over to the area that the instructor had told them to go to, and when they arrived they saw some students that were already sparring with the instructor in front of them. There were currently 5 small stages set up and each one was filled with a student trying to show their fighting proficiency to the instructors who were clearly holding back.
Hinata noticed that all the instructors on the stage all looked exactly the same and she muttered under her breath, "Ah, they must be using shadow clones."
At this point Miku decided to say, 'Hm, their chakra signatures are all the same so that would be an appropriate guess. They must be doing this to make the testing go by faster. If they were to fight one at a time it would take way too long.'
'Miku you've been awfully quiet for a while now, I expected you to keep talking to me during the obstacle course.' Hinata said in surprise at Miku's sudden words.
'Well I've had no reason to say anything really. Not to mention you've been speaking with Tsukiyo for a while now and I didn't want to interrupt you and make you have two conversations at the same time.' Miku explained while lounging on a chair with a book in her hand, she was currently reading a book called Eragon.
'I appreciate that, however I don't mind when you speak with me, even if I am speaking with Tsukiyo or anyone else for that matter.' Hinata said, and when she was about to continue talking with Miku, she saw that one of the instructor's shadow clones had called up Tsukiyo to go fight.
"G-good luck Tsukiyo" Hinata softly cheered for Tsukiyo who only nodded her head and got onto the field.
'She will win this.' Miku said confidently, 'Even if she might not win easily against the instructor if they were to go face to face, but right now she is fighting against a shadow clone. If she were to strike it with enough force the clone will dissipate and she will be considered the victor.'
'Mn, I also think she will win. She is pretty strong, especially with her puppets.' Hinata agreed and sat down on a nearby stump and put her attention towards the storage ring that is still on her finger.
When she thought about the contents of it, she saw a small list of objects appear in her mind, some of which she had never heard of before. It had things like daily necessities such as clothes, hygiene products, some snacks, then there were things she had never heard of, for example, there was something called a Kyber Crystal, something called Valis, there was even something called a Hamster Cage Pass.
It was then Hinata's eyes lit up as she saw an item that she immediately took out when she confirmed that no one was looking in her direction. She then immediately started to nibble on it, it was an item that was marked, (For Hinata Only), it was a never ending cinnamon roll, no matter how much she ate of it, the part that was eaten gets regenerated on its own.
She was squealing on the inside and Miku only chuckled when she saw how excited she was. Now Hinata, with a snack in hand, watched as Tsukiyo finally reached the stage and gort into a basic Taijutsu stance that is taught at the academy.
Tsukiyo looked at the instructor in front of her and sized him up. She could see that he was indeed at the strength that a typical Chunin would have, however from the way that he was holding his stance, she could also see that he likely hasn't faced actual combat in a while, his stance was slightly off as he likely has been only doing spars like these for so long that his overall skills have deteriorated.
The instructor looked at Tsukiyo and saw that she was waiting for him to make the first move, so he did as she wished and ran towards her and threw a wooden kunai to draw her attention away for a moment.
When Tsukiyo dodged slightly to get out the path of the Kunai, she moved into the path of the Chunin as he appeared from her side and swung his fist at her midsection causing Tsukiyo to roll out of the way to make some distance. However the Chunin anticipated this and retracted his fist and kicked at her instead.
Tsukiyo, seeing the kick coming towards her rolled even more and launched back up to her feet while the Chunin still hadn't reimagined his footing, and as she did so she sent a spinning kick towards the head of the Chunin. Because he wasn't able to readjust in time he had to raise his arms up to block the kick which caused him to stagger backwards slightly.
Tsukiyo saw this as an opportunity and kept pushing forwards, sending jab after jab at her opponent who kept retreating, trying to avoid the attacks coming at him. When he saw her prepare to send another punch at him, the Chunin just jumped backwards even further and threw a few more Kunai at Tsukiyo causing her to sway to the side to avoid them while continuing to close in on her opponent. However, just this was enough for the Chunin to get out of her rhythm and when her next punch connected, she saw him disappear in a puff of smoke, and in his place appeared a log.
'Substitution Jutsu!' Tsukiyo thought and quickly crouched down and crossed her arms above her head as she felt an attack coming from behind her.
The Chunin's axe kick connected with her arms causing her arms to sink as she felt her arms starting to strain from the kick, however just as the Chunin was about to withdraw his leg after it connected to launch another attack Tsukiyo suddenly stood up and threw him off balance.
Tsukiyo could see that her arms would likely start to bruise as she felt them start to sting a little. She then decided to start taking this fight a little more seriously and launched herself right at her opponent as he quickly reimagined his bearing, however Tsukiyo didn't want to give him any opportunity and started to perform a leg sweep at her opponent as he hadn't fully stabilized himself yet.
The Chunin, seeing what she was trying to do jumped upwards slightly so that he wouldn't be hit by her leg sweep, however his eyes widened slightly as he saw her smirk and stop her leg sweeping motion and transition it into a handstand kick as her foot connected with his right hand right before it could hit his jaw.
The Chunin was sent flying a few step backwards as he slightly adjusted his jaw as he felt the attack still hurt his jaw, however the strength wasn't enough to dispel him yet, he was given a large supply of chakra from a chakra battery so that he wouldn't dispel as easily as a normal shadow clone would.
Tsukiyo saw that her attack hadn't finished the match as she had hoped and clicked her tongue in disappointment, however that didn't mean she would let up, so she immediately flipped back onto her feet and threw a wooden kunai at the chunin, however the chunin easily caught it with his left hand.
"This match is over." Tsukiyo said simply as she crossed her arms in front of her.
"Oh? How so?" The Chunin said with a smile, "I am still standing and can keep going for quite a while."
"If you think that, then why don't you come attack me?" Tsukiyo taunted.
However the Chunin Wasn't one to fall for such an easy taunt and shook his head and decided to send one back her way, "Why don't you attack me instead. Or maybe this is all you have, afterall, you are just one of your classes rejects, just like the Hyuuga over there and the Aburame."
The Chunin saw Tsukiyo's jaw tighten slightly and knew his taunt was working on her and decided to press on, "What? Are you mad? Well I'm standing right here, why don't you come at me? Or are you a coward?"
Tsukiyo seemed to have lost her cool at that and clenched her fists at her sides before getting into a stance and charging at her opponent. The Chunin saw that she was blinded by rage and chuckled before he got into a stance while holding the kunai in front of him in order to defend against her.
Tsukiyo quickly closed in and when she was right in front of him, the Chunin tightened his muscles to react to the attack she was about to send his way. However what surprised him was the fact that Tsukiyo ran right behind him, not even trying to attack him.
Just as he was confused at her action he felt his arms cross then be yanked behind his back causing him to grunt in pain, "W-what's happening?" He asked, shocked.
What he heard was Tsukiyo's voice behind him, she was calm, clearly not blinded by anger as he just thought, "It's simple really. I already told you I won the moment you grabbed my kunai."
'The Kunai? But how?' The Chunin thought.
"You must be wondering what the kunai had to do with this. Am I right?" Tsukiyo voiced his thoughts as she decided to explain, "What you didn't realize was that during the whole fight I was subtly connecting chakra strings to parts of your body as I attacked you, and when I received the attacks you hit me with. When your axe kick connected with my arms, I attached a thread to your leg."
The Chunin then recalled that moment and realized it must have happened when her hand slightly touched his ankle as she threw him off balance.
"The next thread was attached when you blocked my kick with your hand before it could connect with your jaw. I was hoping that would end the match right there, however I still had a backup plan just in case, so I connected a thread to your right hand when my foot hit it." Tsukiyo continued to explain, normally she wouldn't say this much, however she decided that it would be better to showcase her tactical knowledge and try to score a few extra easy points.
"The final part was when you caught my kunai, the kunai had a chakra string attached to it that was transferred to your hand when you held it." Tsukiyo said as she pulled on two of the strings causing the Chunin's arms to pull even further behind his back as she then said,
"I wasn't really angered by your taunt, I couldn't care less about it really. However the part that you overlooked is that the reason I am considered a 'Reject' is solely because I am a puppeteer, and not many, if any, in the leaf pursue such a path. If you remembered that, you would have thought it strange that I didn't use any skills associated with a puppet user."
The Chunin's eyes widened slightly as he took in what she said then he chuckled while he said satirically, "You were right, I did overlook that, and because of that, I became the puppet instead, and since I cant use my arms I can't even use the substitution Jutsu to escape."
The Chunin then relaxed and let his muscles loosen as he said, "Very well, Student Tsukiyo, whether it be in hand to hand combat, or your use of tactics, you have shown that you are skilled, so I only have two things to say.I Surrender, and You Pass."
After hearing him say that Tsukiyo looked at him for a moment, then retracted her chakra strings back into her body to regain the chakra, even if it was only part of what she expended in the first place. She then slowly made her way off the stage and walked back to where Hinata was standing and nodded to her and said, "I won."
Hinata smiled softly and said, "You did, Congratulations."
