Chapter 43 - chapter 43 Humans

"And now… for a special surprise!"

The announcer's voice thundered across the stadium, slicing through the roar of the crowd.

"The next match features an opponent unlike any other! A noble of imperial blood, a rising star of the Solas lineage,Prince Rin Solas!"

The arena erupted into chaos.

Chants echoed. Nobles in the stands stood up. Even the common spectators, many seeing him for the first time, were swept by the wave of awe and anticipation.

Rin stepped into the arena with calm precision. His long white hair rippled in the wind, and a thin cloak fluttered behind him. Though his expression was composed, his eyes were cold, focused, measuring.

Across the arena, the monster roared. A ten-meter-tall abomination of scales and muscle, it thrashed violently. Its tail alone had already crushed five opponents earlier that day.

The gates locked. The bell rang.

With a shriek, the beast lunged, its colossal tail sweeping low,a move that had shattered ribcages and spines all afternoon.

But this time, it stopped dead.

A silver flash of light surged from Rin's body as his dragon form burst forth. His skin toughened, iridescent white scales wrapping across his limbs. Wings of blinding brilliance spread wide, casting a long shadow across the ground. His silver- white eyes glowed like twin suns.

The tail struck.

It rebounded instantly,no damage. Not even a scratch.

The crowd gasped in disbelief.

Rin's form blurred. With wings flared, he soared into the air, high above the monster's snapping jaws. Wind howled as he closed in like a comet.

His fist glowed white.

He smashed it directly into the monster's eye. The sound was sickening, bone shattered, blood burst. The creature howled in pain.

Then came the breath.

A glowing torrent of black flames erupted from Rin's mouth, crashing into the monster's skull. The fire slipped through the broken eye socket, flooding the beast's insides.

In seconds, the monster collapsed. Smoke poured from its ears and mouth. It spasmed once. Then it was still.

The arena was silent for half a second.

Then, an explosion of cheers.

"RIN! RIN! RIN!"

Banners waved. Children screamed his name. Even nobles who had barely acknowledged him before were now standing, clapping, whispering with renewed interest.

In the VVIP booth, Third Prince Ryvaris Solas was laughing with genuine excitement. "Oh my god! That's the best kill of the day! Rin, you're amazing!"

Rin landed calmly, his dragon form receding. His expression didn't change, but he waved his hand to the crowd.

The rest of the event was a blur. The remaining fights were barely noted. People only spoke of the white dragon prince and the monster he had incinerated with fire.

When Rin returned to the booth, Ryvaris clapped him on the back, beaming. Even Fifth Prince of Solas offered polite words, nodding in approval.

But Rin's eyes searched elsewhere,Lord Isen Varros.

Gone.

He had slipped away quietly, along with several other high-ranking nobles. Rin frowned. He didn't want to talk in public… too slippery. I'll have to corner him soon.

Eventually, the crowd thinned. Nobles returned to their palaces. Only Rin and Ryvaris remained in the grand booth.

Auren stretched. "Now, now. I believe I owe someone a dinner."

They left the arena in a private carriage and headed to one of the most prestigious restaurants in the capital,Moonfire Pearl. The moment they entered, the staff dropped to their knees. No menus were needed. They were treated like kings.

Over grilled crystal salmon and everything was brought to them, they laughed and spoke freely.

Talk turned to the North. Then the South and West. Ryvaris shared his opinion on the growing tensions, how border conflicts were flaring again. Rin offered vague insights, careful not to speak too much.

Then he asked the question.

"You seem to keep rare slaves from every known race… but I noticed you have none from the human race. Why?"

It was the first time Rin had ever dared say it aloud in this world, human race.

Ryvaris blinked. Then laughed.

"Human race? What's that?" He smiled, but not with confusion. Amusement ,curiosity and excitement. "Never heard of it before."

Rin's heart skipped.

Ryvaris leaned in, playful. "But if you found a new race, bring some to me, will you?" He laughed again, waving down a servant for more food.

Rin didn't respond.

His throat tightened. His hands were steady, but inside, something was breaking. He doesn't know. He really doesn't know.

His vision blurred for a second. He could hear his heart thundering in his chest.

When he first arrived in this world,in this body,he had wondered. Time felt… strange. Technology, culture, memory, they didn't align. On Earth, war had already broken out. But here, everything was stable. Calm.

And now, he had confirmation.

They've forgotten us. The connection is severed. Or something worse that rin didn't want to even think about.

He didn't think about searching for the gate to earth because of the calm and peace this planet is in, he was afraid that something bad happened.

He recalled the ancient gate at the center of the capital, people said it vanished twenty years ago. But others claimed it had existed for more than sixty. The timelines didn't add up.

The gate I entered… it didn't look anything like Earth.

He suspected that the gate to earth have vanished a long time ago.

Rin sat back, smiling faintly as Ryvaris continued rambling.

But inside, the truth settled like ice.

Earth was gone. Forgotten. Its name erased from memory.

And now, he was alone.with no way if returning. Since no one remembered earth that means they are safe but he has no way of returning.
