The five masters made their way through the dark and winding tunnels of the underground cave. They finally arrived at the chamber where the nine-tailed fox, Bai Qi,lay on her bed,her legs and hands chained.
Bai Qi dressed in white floral gown,looked up at the masters with a playful glint in her eyes. " Ah, the five masters. What brings you to my humble abode?".
Master Mo stepped forward,his face serious. " Bai Qi, we have news. The demon king is dead."
Bai Qi's expression changed, and she sat up,her chains rattling. " Dead? How?"
Master Mo's voice was cold. " It doesn't matter how. What matters is that we're here to release you. You'll be leading our battles from now on. "
Bai Qi raised an eyebrow, her voice laced with reluctance. " I don't think so . I'm not interested in your battles. "
Master Mo's face darkened. " You will do as we say. You're a powerful demon, and we need your strength. "
Bai Qi shook her head. " No, I won't obey you. I'm not some puppet you can control. "
Master Mo's face flashed with anger, and he cast a spell. The chains on Bai Qi's hands and legs tightened, sucking her blood. Bai Qi cried out in pain, struggling against the chains.
" Stop it !" She begged ,her voice trembling. " I'll do what you want, just stop the pain !"
The chains loosened and Bai Qi collapsed back onto the bed,her body trembling.
Master Mo's voice was cold. " You'll obey us, Bai Qi. And you'll do without question."
Bai Qi nodded,her eyes narrowed,her gaze fixed on Master Mo's hand. " What's that ring on your finger ?" She asked,her voice curious.
Master Mo's hand instinctively closed around the ring. " This is the king's ring. It's a sign of authority and anyone who own it can command anyone."
Bai Qi's eyes widened and she reached out a hand. " I want it. Give it to me ."
The five masters exchanged a look,and master Mo shook his head. " No, Bai Qi. This ring is not for you."
Bai Qi's face twisted in anger. " I want it! You can't refuse me!"
The portal that the masters had opened for Bai Qi to go the human world and find a place to stay was already closing. The other four masters begged Master Mo to give it up.
"Master Mo, please," Master Rou said. " If the portal closes, it will take a very long time before we can try to open it again. Give her the ring,and let her go."
Master Mo hesitated,and then finally nodded. " Fine. Take the ring, Bai Qi. But don't think this means you're in charge. You're still under our command."
Bai Qi's face lit up with excitement as she took the ring. " Ah,it looks so much better on my finger," she teased, admiring the ring.
The portal was almost closing, and the masters told Bai Qi to leave. " Go , Bai Qi," Master Xue said. " Don't forget your mission. Eliminate thr heavenly sect's members and bring the Phoenix egg back to our clan."
Bai Qi nodded, a smile on her face. " I'll take care of it. Goodbye, masters."
As Bai Qi left with some demon clan's fighters, the portal finally closed. The five masters watched her go, their faces thoughtful. " This is getting interesting," Master Mo said,his voice low. " And just the beginning."
This other masters nodded in agreement. Yin appeared behind them ,her voice curious. " You called me masters?"
Master Mo turned to her. " Yes, Yin. We've appointed you to stay watch at the mirror and report everything that happens to us."
Yin nodded,her eyes sparkling with interest. " I'll take care of it. Where are you going? "
But the five masters didn't answer. They dismissed her snd Yin left. As she disappeared, the five masters couldn't help but feel relieved. " The heavenly sect will finally be wiped out," Master Hu said, a smile on his face.
The other masters nodded in agreement. They knew that with Bai Qi on their side, they had a good chance of succeeding. And they were eager to see the heavenly sect's downfall.
