Thud!
The heavy thump of a bag hitting the wooden counter startled Nina, who nearly dropped her ledger. She looked up, eyes widening as she found the trio standing before her, dusty, grinning, and very much alive.
"You're back," she said, half-relieved, half-impressed. "Still intact, thank the gods."
"We do try," Leo said with a tired smirk, brushing dirt from his sleeves.
Nina peered into the sack. "Let's see what you dragged in."
She untied the cord and emptied the contents with a practiced motion. Seventeen pointed, shriveled Garblin ears spilled out, followed by a second smaller bag that clinked with metal and treasure. Trinkets, a cracked red gem the size of a thumb, a pouch holding forty silver coins, four Gallion total, a few jagged knives, and rusted iron weapons no sane person would buy, even in desperation.
Nina gave a low whistle. "Well, well. Looks like someone had a profitable afternoon."
