Jayden took a seat on the mat and i noticed the visible frown on Liam's face. He wasn't happy to see him here. Even i don't know why he's here. He never mentioned that he'd be joining us when i was in his bedroom earlier. His presence was one that i didn't quite expect but i couldn't say that out loud.
Katherine finished serving us and quietly excused herself whilst giving me a look of consolation. As if to tell me that she's sorry i have to handle this alone.
"What are you doing here?" Liam asked Jayden who was perfectly seated, his hands crossed over his chest, and his eyes closed briefly in silence. "Sophia mentioned that you wouldn't be joining us today so what suddenly changed?"
"That's strange because she was the one who kept bugging me with an invitation even when I countlessly refused it." He sucked in a deep breath and faced me. "Go ahead and tell him how you came into my room earlier and did a lot of things to get my approval to join you."
