As described in the story so far, the Pagoda of Inner Peace had 2 signature arts: the Nine Seals Zen, and "the Six".
The Nine Seals Zen is based on the Kuji-in (or jiǔ zì yìn, if you prefer the Chinese Pinyin). They're nine powerful hand seals that has a Taoist origin, and is used extensively Japanese Shugendō - a syncretic Esoteric Buddhist religion.
My story, however, is inspired heavily by wuxia novels and comics. In these works, the Kuji-in are often described as being the signature art of 密宗 - mì-zōng (secret subsect of Buddhism, Vajrayàna). And so, the Nine Seals Zen were given to the Pagoda of Inner Peace.
The naming pattern follow these structure:
The words (such as "Formation", "Warrior", "Fighting") - the seal (Inner / Outer Lion Seal, Great Vajra Seal, etc) - the name of the move (Golden Bell Zen, Eightfold Heavenly Stride).
So the full name of the move gonna be something like:
Harmony – Outer Lion Seal - Golden Bell Zen.
Yes, it's a mouthful, so I will refrain from using the full name of Nine Seals Zen in the future.
So far, little Tathāgata had used a total of 4 seals: Jin, Tō, Pyō, Kai. I'll used the meaning of the words, ie Fighting, Formation, etc, rather than the Kanji, so you won't be needing to remember another foreign language while reading. Frankly, Vietnamese and Hindis is enough.
On the other hand, there was "the Six", or Six Abhijñā, 六通.
To put it frankly, it's six spells, magics found in Buddhism, which go as follow:
Divine Eye (天眼通 )
Divine Ear (天耳通)
Mind Reading (他心通)
Past Lives Sight (宿命通)
Sacred Limb (神足通)
Enlightenment (漏盡通)
2 of the six are used in the story. The rest will be introduced in the future (the actual names of the moves might change during editing, this chapter only serve as background knowledge for the readers about the origin of the moves)
