Fernando chimed in, "Never seen anyone fight like that. Not even the soldiers I met right after the zombie outbreak."
Luck straightened his back.
"Don't compare me to them. I was specially trained. Learned bunch of fighting skills. What I did—that's just normal for me."
His words dripped with arrogance, but no one questioned him. Only someone trained could pull off a stunt like that.
Now, his story about being Special Forces was cemented in their minds.
"You behave, stay out of trouble, and maybe—just maybe—I'll get you five on my team. When extraction's possible, I'll take you with me."
