Chapter 75 - ## Chapter 75: Blizzard

## Chapter 75: Blizzard

The next moment, I appeared inside the Waypoint in the Cold Plains. The two Rogue Archers and the Mage stationed here had already come forward to greet me. Seeing their just-woken appearance, it was clear my arrival had disturbed them from their sleep.

"Sorry, I disturbed your rest."

"Not at all, Lord. We are quite idle here and can rest anytime," one of the Rogue Archers immediately replied.

This Waypoint was originally surrounded by steep cliffs, with only one entrance, and large areas of Jungle blocking the outside, preventing the cold wind from blowing in. So, I was too lazy to pitch a Tent again. I just took out my fur blanket and spread it out next to the Campfire.

Presumably, the other three were also quite annoyed. What was this Druid Lord thinking? Why didn't he sleep until morning in the Rogue Encampment before coming? Instead, he ran here in the middle of the night to sleep. Did he not have Money for an Inn?

*Sweat...*

Oh, I almost forgot. I flipped over and immediately Summoned my Poison Creeper, Lazy Crow, Oak Sage, and Ghost Wolf. By the time dawn broke, my Mana would be almost full again.

The next day, I got up early. After hastily eating a few pieces of Jerky, I greeted the three of them and immediately set off on my journey, heading straight for the Stony Field to the west. As for Blood Raven, I didn't plan to provoke her for now, because my Airdrop Encirclement could only control three Ghost Wolves, and I wasn't confident enough to take her down. I'd go meet her when I could Teleport five Wolves simultaneously. My Top priority was activating Waypoints and Leveling Up.

As soon as I stepped outside, a biting cold wind swept over me. I couldn't help but shiver violently. It was much colder here than in the Rogue Encampment! The withered grass on the ground was already covered with a layer of accumulated snow several centimeters thick. My Footsteps made a "squeak squeak" sound as I walked on it. Looking around, some low-lying areas with standing water had even frozen into smooth ice. The entire Cold Plains was a vast expanse of white, with only occasional small patches of withered yellow Grassland exposed, and the bare, straight Large Trees revealing their brown Tree Bark, stubbornly resisting the white color of the landscape.

At first, I was worried that the Dirt would be frozen hard and cold, preventing the Poison Creeper from moving through it. After walking for a while, I realized I had worried for nothing. The hard frozen ground didn't hinder the Poison Creeper's Footsteps at all. Even when I ran at full Speed, it could still easily keep up. *Sweat*, it seems I underestimated its ability.

The Ghost Wolf, Raven, and Spirit also seemed unaffected by the ice. This meant there would be no problem with Operations.

The journey was particularly quiet. I walked for several hours without encountering a single Monster. My Curiosity was piqued instantly—it couldn't be that they all migrated east because of the weather, could it? They weren't migratory birds. (Going east through the Mist Forest leads to warm Plains and Wasteland, and further ahead is the scorching Desert, where Lut Gholein is located.)

With my Curiosity greatly aroused, I carefully looked into a Small Grove not far away and was immediately amused. Without the cover of bushes and Tree Leaf, several starving, emaciated Quill Rats and Dark Hunters, covered in a thin layer of accumulated snow, were lying on the ground listlessly, staring blankly. *Sweat*, were they on strike?

When I approached, the "squeak squeak" sound of my Footsteps on the accumulated snow attracted the attention of these miserable, frozen Monsters. After they spotted me, they were stunned for a moment, then immediately rushed towards me with bloodshot eyes. I smiled even more happily. It seemed they all saw me as Food delivered to their doorstep. But weren't Quill Rats supposed to be herbivores? And Dark Hunters didn't seem to like Human Meat much either!

However, the bad luck of these poor little Monsters was far from over. There was actually a small patch of smooth ice between me and them, but being starved senseless, they didn't notice the ice under their feet ahead. They stepped onto it without any warning. Immediately, the tall Dark Hunters fell flat on their backs, and one of them even lost his Shield somewhere.

The clumsy Quill Rats were even more comical. They didn't even need to desperately wave their short, pathetic limbs anymore. They just slid along, their bellies pressed against the ice, like sleds. They slid all the way to the Edge of the ice and buried their heads in the accumulated snow, their limbs struggling desperately to pull their buried heads out. Unfortunately, the ice offered no traction, and no matter how they struggled, it was useless. In the end, the Ghost Wolf and Poison Creeper were more Kind, and very enthusiastically went up to greet these guests who had come from afar... and were buried in the snow.

The Dark Hunters who fell behind learned their lesson after getting up. They were carefully inching their way over step by step. Unfortunately, I didn't have the leisure to wait for them to cross the ice. I took a few steps forward, and my Polar Storm instantly took shape. Several masses of cold, tangible Aura were directed in different directions and rapidly shot towards the Dark Hunters.

It was already extremely cold, and adding a mass of freezing Aura, who could stand it? I only heard a few screams of "Ah," and the Dark Hunters were immediately frozen into ice blocks, then shattered. The ice flowers mixed with meat chunks and Blood bloomed like flowers, strange and beautiful. This was probably the aesthetic of Slaughter.

Knowing that these Monsters were in a semi-dormant state in the extreme cold, I didn't actively provoke them anymore. After all, the Experience they gave was pitifully small. I walked continuously for several days like this, only dealing with a few waves of Fallen I occasionally encountered.

However, the good times didn't last. On the morning of the fourth day, a Blizzard began to blow in the Sky. Violent, tangible gales, carrying goose-feather-like heavy snow, raged across the entire Cold Plains. The dim, cold wind whipped up countless Snowflakes, obscuring the entire Sky, as if it were the End of Days. This Blizzard greatly affected my journey, reducing my traveling Speed by at least half.

The Lazy Crow definitely couldn't fly in the Sky, so I simply canceled its Summon. As for the Spirit, although it also floated in the air, its exterior was just an Energy Body, and only the hard core in the center was an Entity, so it was unaffected by the Storm. The Poison Creeper was fine Underground. What surprised me was the Ghost Wolf. It seemed very adapted to this weather. Even if the Blizzard was more intense, it could still quietly bounce around everywhere and occasionally perform a Teleport. It made me think of the Siberian Snow Wolves in my original world; they probably couldn't adapt to this weather as well as it could.

Of course, the Blizzard wasn't without its benefits. At least now I couldn't even see the shadow of half a Fallen.

As I endured the wind and snow that felt like blades, thinking this, my foot suddenly felt a sharp pain. My already ice-cold Body instantly froze stiff, as if I had been shot by that Mini-Boss in the Cave.

*Damn*, I actually forgot about the Ice Worms...

Unexpectedly, the Ice Worms, which I had previously abused and regarded as XP Fodder, had now become my biggest obstacle. Their white bodies hid in the snow, undetectable even by the keen-scented Ghost Wolf. If you accidentally stepped into their Territory, you were in for a frozen feast.

However, apart from the Ice Worms, there were no other Monsters that could withstand the Blizzard. Yesterday, I encountered a Fallen Camp, and the few Fallen and Mages inside were already on the verge of death from the cold. These poor creatures would repeatedly freeze to death if the Blizzard didn't stop.

Seeing their Appearance, my heart suddenly stirred—I wondered how Bishibosh was doing. His guards must have lost most of their Combat Power, right? Didn't that mean Bishibosh was now a solitary figure? Thinking of this, I immediately became excited—anyway, I would be passing by that Lake. I might as well spend some time searching. If I could get another piece of Golden Equipment, it would definitely be worth it...

When I estimated I had arrived at the Lake from last time, I looked around and found that the entire Lake was actually covered by heavy snow. If I hadn't had some impression from last time, I probably wouldn't have realized I was walking on the surface of the Lake even if I passed by here.

Unfortunately, after that, I spent a full 2 days but still couldn't find any trace of Bishibosh. Logically speaking, although his respawn location was random, he shouldn't be too far from the Lake. It seemed someone had already gotten there before me. *Sigh*, after all, the people in this world aren't stupid. What I could think of, those experienced Class Changers might have already thought of long ago. Maybe they had been waiting near Bishibosh's Camp for the Blizzard to arrive.

The Blizzard lasted for seven full days. Then, on the day the Blizzard stopped, I finally reached my first destination—the Stony Field.

Stony Field, as the name suggests, my first thought upon entering was—stone formation!

Yes, a stone formation composed of countless towering Boulders, some less than a meter tall, others even tens of meters high. They were scattered randomly across the entire Wasteland, exuding an ancient and Mysterious Aura. Being within it gave a strong visual impact, a Feeling of insignificance that arose naturally when facing Nature. According to Cain, the six tallest Boulders in the Stony Field were over a hundred meters high, standing like Giants in the Wasteland, overlooking the entire Stony Field. Cain's hometown, the shortcut back to Tristram, was hidden within these six stone formations. To uncover the Secret hidden within, I first had to go to the Dark Wood and find a Scroll from a Large Tree that could activate the Magic Portals hidden inside five of the Boulders.

*Sweat*, it seems it's a long and arduous journey.
