Teyvat Dimension
Day 3
Recorder: Karl Lisbon
I apologize for taking over today's log—Aileen isn't feeling quite herself. Let's begin...
This morning, we departed from Mondstadt and headed for Liyue. Along the way, we encountered slime-like creatures imbued with elemental powers and the primate-like unknown beings we'd seen before. Aileen mentioned that locals call them Slimes and Hilichurls. Out of habit, I kept fingering the trigger of my Glock; the click of the firing pin striking the cartridge base gave me a sense of security. Following the Teyvat map provided by Venti, we finally reached Liyue. "It feels so much like China," Aileen remarked. "Indeed, there's a Qing Dynasty vibe," Hamke responded. "What do we do now?" I asked. "We need to find the Geo Archon Morax and inquire about our missing people." "Can we just meet the Archon casually?" Hamke questioned. "Venti said Liyue holds an annual Rite of Descension. We need to seize that opportunity."
Upon arriving at Liyue Harbor, we heard a noblewoman resembling a Chinese lady shout: "The God of Contracts has been murdered! Seal the scene!" We were immediately surrounded. Just then, we saw that blond-haired youth again—he seemed to be trying to escape, so we let him slip away without interference. As a Liyue soldier approached to search us, Aileen refused; it crossed her底线 (bottom line). Enraged, she raised her rifle, aimed at the soldier's head, and pulled the trigger. This time, instead of the usual silence, there was a crisp gunshot. The 5.56mm bullet pierced the soldier's skull. He died.
"They... killed a member of the Millelith so easily!"
"Could they be the ones who murdered the Archon?"
"Lock them up!"
We couldn't fathom why the bullet fired—after all, this world's chemical laws differ entirely from Earth's. It dawned on me: the magazine containing that bullet had accidentally absorbed Pyro Element during our fight with a Pyro Slime. The chance of Earth objects absorbing Teyvat's elements is a mere one in a thousand, yet we fell into that rare case.
Imprisoned in Liyue's dungeon, we faced charges of assassinating the Archon. "What do we do? We can't get out," Hamke despaired. Aileen said nothing, curling up in a corner of the cell. "Hey, Aileen, can we talk?" I asked softly. She nodded. "I know you're upset, and that's okay—we don't blame you. None of us expected the bullet to fire normally. Maybe we should focus on escaping." She remained silent, still staring at the wall. "Come on, Aileen, stay positive. We'll escape together." "Right," Hamke chimed in, "if we can prove it was an accident or find the real killer, we can clear our names." She finally nodded slightly, acknowledging us.
"Alright, let's figure out how to escape!" Hamke declared. We used a resonance wall-breaker—so tiny the guards hadn't detected it. Placing it on the wall, we counted: "3, 2, 1!" The wall exploded. We rushed into the corridor, knocked out several guards, reclaimed our gear, breached another wall, and fled the prison. After walking for hours, we reached Wangshu Inn, rented a room, and settled in. Aileen still seemed consumed by guilt. "We have three days to find the Archon's real killer and clear our names," Hamke said. "Got it, Hamke. Let's let Aileen rest," I replied, and he fell silent. We lay on our beds, blew out the candles, and the day ended...
"This is the Millelith! We received reports of a prison break—room inspection!"
