A new day brought with it, a new sense of foreboding.
Tristan burrowed into the covers as the maid tried to wake him up for the day.
They have a lot to do for the day and she has no idea where to start with him.
There was also a gloomy silence that scared everyone in the whole mansion as gossip was beginning to pass around the maids that something was wrong with the Alpha.
She doesn't know for a fact if that was true but the Alpha's beta had told her to get the Omega ready early this morning. Since the Alpha isn't available, they are to obey every of his orders.
"You need to wake up now" she said and gently shook him.
Tristan stirred and turned to look at her.
He sighed softly as disappointment filled him with agony, he had thought he would wake up to the Alpha's presence but that was a wish that was by every means impossible.
"Good morning" The maid greeted and waited with a forced smile.
She doesn't want to add to his sadness.
And she's trying her best to be optimistic.
"Good morning".
Tristan whispered back and stared blankly ahead.
"It seems he is really planning to get rid of me" he muttered softly under his breath and smiled at the maid who was still waiting with a smile still etched on her face.
"Were you asked to throw me out?"
"Throw you out?"
She paused and frowned before continuing.
"why?…who would want to do that?" She stumbled upon her words as a frown of panic replaced the smile.
Tristan processed her words in silence and immediately realised things weren't as bad as he assumed yet.
He got out of the bed and walked into the bathroom.
"I need to do something about this" he thought repeatedly as he cleaned up for the day.
Now that his truth is out, there is no longer the fear of getting caught but he needs to face the consequences and take responsibility for it even if he has no idea on how to do that.
The maid was still waiting in the room but a tray of food was sitting on the bed side table.
He paused as his eyes landed on the food.
"Is the Alpha not around?" Tristan asked as he had thought he would be able to have breakfast with him this morning.
"I…hummm– he is away for some business and only the Beta is around" She responded with a little difficulty because no explanation was given to them except that the Alpha was away.
She has no way to answer his questions if he gets more curious.
Tristan swallowed the bile rising to his throat and went to eat in silence.
It seemed like this was the end and he was trying to be happy as everything was ending.
He would leave a note for the Alpha and go back home before the Alpha returned.
His step-father won't have a reason to send him back since the truth is out anyways.
He finished the food and turned to the maid with a bright smile.
"Can you take me to Gale?" He asked with a bright smile.
He had dressed in a loose black hoodie and shorts he was surprised to find in the closet.
He wasn't looking like his pretentious self and he felt comfortable in the clothes.
The maid nodded slowly but led the way to the Beta.

Gale stood by the window with a dark expression, the day had brightened up and the Alpha was still unconscious. It's been difficult for him to relax even with the doctor's assurance.
The mating ceremony was supposed to happen this evening and he was hoping that he would wake up to make some vital decisions for the ceremony.
If they fail to have the mating ceremony today, pack members will get more anxious and the pack elders will get suspicious.
And in no time they would make their way here and would see that the Alpha was not well.
The fear of that happening made his fists clenched tightly.
A knock on the door interrupted his thoughts and he subconsciously invited the person inside without turning away from the window.
A gasp coming from behind him made him spurn around sharply.
His eyes widened as he watched the shock expression on the Omega's face as he stood with his eyes on the Alpha.
He moved fast to stand in front of him to prevent him from getting closer to the Alpha.
"Why are you here?" Gale asked, and looked over his head at the maid who also had the same expression on her face before and was frozen in place.
The rumour was true, the Alpha was unwell.
While Gale was distracted, Tristan fought off his hold and slowly knelt beside the bed.
His hands trembled as he watched the face of the Alpha before him.
Just a day ago, he saw him healthy and well.
"What happened?" Tristan asked in a shaky voice.
"What happened to him?" He asked again, louder this time as the Beta ignored him the first time.
"He is just resting" Gale replied after a little hesitation.
He runs hand through his hair in frustration as he brainstormed on what to do about everything.
The Omega wasn't supposed to find out.
Guilt suddenly filled Tristan from within, he had thought the Alpha had abandoned him just last night he cried himself to sleep but he was wrong.
The Alpha was unable to not because he didn't want to.
He thought and a relief made his shoulder ease down.
"Return to your room, he doesn't want to be disturbed. We would go to the pack house together in a few hours. Be prepared" Gale ordered but Tristan remained where he was with his eyes still on the Alpha.
"No, I'm not going," he replied simply.
Gale frowned and was surprised by his sudden stubbornness.
"We are going there to wait for the Alpha–
"I'm not going anywhere without him," He repeated firmly.
Tristan turned to look at him with a pair of unyielding eyes.
He can't say what suddenly overcame him, but he knew deeply that he needed to stay close to the Alpha and he can't explain why.
"Why are you both bickering?" An unexpected voice asked suddenly and both of their eyes snapped to his direction.
