Chapter 64 - Chapter 63: Siege of the Cradle

Venter Orbit – Mahasimu Command Carrier Vexis Obscura

Admiral Kia stood at the helm of the Vexis Obscura, her eyes fixed on the burning world below. The once-proud cities of Venter now lay in ruins, consumed by fire and shadow. Her voice rang out across the command deck, cold and unyielding.

"Deploy the second wave. Target the northern continent. Leave no survivors."

Vice General Tano, aboard his own command vessel, the Oblivion's Edge, coordinated the ground assault. His forces, a relentless tide of Shadowscourge and Scourgehounds, swept across the planet's surface, leaving devastation in their wake.

"Advance to sector seven. Flush out the remaining resistance. The Praetorium must not escape."

The Mahasimu legions pressed forward, their advance unstoppable. The skies above Venter were a maelstrom of fire and debris, as the Zelith fleet struggled to hold the line against the onslaught.

Aboard the Voidspire – Ruthen's Briefing

In the depths of the Voidspire, Ruthen convened a clandestine meeting with the Thal'karn handlers, Shadowscourge legion leaders, and the Luminary overseer. The chamber was shrouded in darkness, illuminated only by the eerie glow of stasis pods lining the walls.

"Our mission is not yet complete," Ruthen began, her voice a whisper that carried weight. "The Great Crypt remains sealed. We must ensure it does not fall into enemy hands."

The Luminary nodded, its expression hidden beneath a hood of shadows. "The Praetor Solan guards the key. He must be eliminated."

Ruthen turned to the Thal'karn handlers. "Deploy your beasts. Let them sow chaos among the Zelith ranks. Draw their attention away from the Crypt."

To the Shadowscourge leaders, she commanded, "Coordinate with the ground forces. Ensure the Praetorium's escape routes are cut off. We cannot allow them to regroup."

The assembled leaders bowed, their loyalty unquestioned. The plan was set in motion.

Venter Surface – The Encroaching Doom

Praetor Solan stood at the entrance of the Great Crypt, the key clutched tightly in his hand. The air was thick with smoke and the stench of death. The sounds of battle echoed in the distance, drawing ever closer.

He knew his time was limited.

Admiral Tyven and Commander Vekra, leading the remnants of the Zelith forces, fought valiantly to reach the Crypt. Their path was fraught with danger, as Mahasimu forces closed in from all sides.

"We must reach Solan before it's too late," Tyven urged, his voice strained.

Vekra nodded, determination etched on his face. "We cannot let the Crypt fall."

As they pressed forward, the ground shook beneath them. The Thal'karn had been unleashed, their monstrous forms tearing through the battlefield with savage fury.

The Zelith forces fought with desperation, their resolve unwavering.
