Chapter 7 - EPISODE 7 — "THE TIPPING POINT"

INT. THREE-STORY BUILDING — EARLY MORNING

The cold first light seeps through broken windows and cracked walls. Dust motes swirl lazily in the thin shafts of sun. The survivors are stirring slowly in their makeshift bunks—blankets pulled tight, eyes blinking away nightmares.

Ayush stands near the window on the top floor, watching the silent streets below. His jaw is tight, shoulders squared — the weight of leadership heavy but borne with quiet strength.

Across the hall, Kartik sits cross-legged on the floor, sharpening a knife with focused care. His expression is unreadable but calm, the trusted second to Ayush, ready for anything.

INT. MAIN ROOM — MORNING

Ananya, in a faded but clean shirt, moves softly, organizing the limited supplies: water bottles, canned food, and a few medical kits.

Beside her, Sanaa leans against the wall . Her face is tired, but there's a determination beneath her exhaustion.

Nearby, Mr. Khan walks slowly, steady and measured, hands behind his back.

MR. KHAN(soft, reassuring)"We have survived because we never lost faith. This house—our new foundation—it will stand as a symbol of that faith."

Sanaa looks up at him, a fragile smile on her lips.

Mrs. Khan moves quietly between the group, handing out small pieces of bread and water. Her eyes are kind but haunted, like she carries the weight of loss silently.

EXT. ROOFTOP — MORNING

Bhargav stands at the edge, gazing far into the distant city skyline, the sun just cresting the horizon. His hands grip the rusty railing tightly.

Memories flicker behind his eyes — his family, lost forever. A clenched jaw. A slow breath. He whispers to himself.

BHARGAV(softly, almost to himself)"For them... I have to be stronger."

Tanya watches him quietly from behind the rooftop door. Her notebook rests on her lap, filled with hurried scrawls and sketches. She bites her lip.

INT. BASE — MID-MORNING

Ayush calls the group to gather in the main hall. The survivors assemble, eyes heavy but alert.

Ayush stands tall, voice firm but warm.

AYUSH"We have a home now. This building will keep us safe — if we make it so. Today, we begin new defenses, new routines. We protect each other, no matter what."

Kartik steps forward, pulling a crudely drawn map from his bag.

KARTIK"We've got to secure every window, every door. We fortify the barricades. And we keep watch — day and night."

Bhargav nods, fists clenched.

BHARGAV"I'll take the rooftop watch tonight."

Shivam stands quietly near the back, nodding silently.

Ananya approaches Ayush.

ANANYA"Let me handle supplies. We need to track everything, or this won't last."

Ayush meets her gaze, respect clear in his eyes.

INT. SUPPLY ROOM — AFTERNOON

Ananya flips open a battered notebook. She writes the first entry.

ANANYA(voiceover)"Day one, ration log. Water: 24 liters. Food cans: 50. Medicine: 12 units. We must make every piece last."

Sanaa enters hesitantly, watching Ananya write.

SANAA(soft)"I'm... worried."

Ananya looks up, compassion softening her face.

ANANYA"We all are. But worry won't keep us alive."

Sanaa nods, A shadow passes over her face—fear mingled with fierce resolve.

INT. SECOND FLOOR — QUIET ROOM

Tanya sits near a cracked window, sketchbook on her lap. She writes in her journal, trying to hold on to normalcy.

Her voice is soft, reflective.

TANYA(voiceover)"In this broken world, every small moment feels precious... even fear, even pain. We are all holding on to hope — fragile, fragile like glass."

The wind howls outside; a distant groan echoes.

EXT. STREET OUTSIDE — AFTERNOON

Outside the building, a horde of zombies shuffles just beyond sight, groaning and scraping at the barricades. Their moans drift faintly in the stale air.

Shivam peers from a small crack in the boarded window, eyes scanning the crowd below. His grip tightens on the wooden plank.

INT. MAIN ROOM — LATE AFTERNOON

Kartik and Ayush plan silently over the map. Mehul, the quiet tactician, is mentioned as coordinating supply chains remotely via radio.

Kartik speaks quietly.

KARTIK"We'll need to send a scouting team soon. This place can't hold us forever."

Ayush's eyes are hard.

AYUSH"First, we survive the now."

INT. HALLWAY — EVENING

Sanaa and Ananya walk side by side. Sanaa's steps falter; Ananya notices.

ANANYA"You're carrying more than just the baby, aren't you?"

Sanaa stops, swallowing.

SANAA"I'm scared. What if I can't protect him? What if he..."

Her voice breaks. Ananya pulls her close.

ANANYA"You will. You both will. We'll make sure."

INT. ROOFTOP — NIGHT

Bhargav stands guard, eyes sharp despite fatigue. The moonlight casts shadows across his face.

Suddenly, a loud banging on the barricade. The zombies are closer, more aggressive.

Bhargav grips a metal pipe, shouting down.

BHARGAV"Hold them off! Don't let them break through!"

Inside, the group scrambles to reinforce the barricades. The tension is electric.

INT. MAIN ROOM — MIDNIGHT

Ayush and Kartik survey the group, tired but unbroken.

Ayush's voice is steady.

AYUSH"We've survived worse. We hold the line tonight."

Kartik nods, his eyes never leaving the barricaded windows.

INT. ROOFTOP — PRE-DAWN

The attack subsides as dawn breaks. The zombies retreat, but the group knows this is just the beginning.

Bhargav lowers the pipe, breathing heavily.

INT. MAIN ROOM — DAWN

The survivors gather, exhausted but alive.

Ayush stands before them, voice filled with quiet fire.

AYUSH"This building is more than just shelter. It's hope. And as long as we stand together, nothing can break us."

The group nods, the first faint smiles appearing.
