Chapter 89 - Ch-89 “A God’s Dilemma”

Far above the mortal kingdoms, within the grand, celestial court of the gods, Julius stood alone before a towering window of shimmering light. Through its infinite glow, he watched the world below — the panic within North Ryehem, the chaos of officials scrambling, and the quiet, unreadable smile of Kazuki Ayanami amidst it all.

Unlike the mortals below, Julius wasn't shocked.

He had anticipated this.

Not because Kazuki was predictable — far from it. The boy was a mystery even to the gods. The only reason Julius had managed to foresee this particular scheme was by meticulously piecing together Kazuki's past actions. Every obscure decision, every calculated silence, every moment Kazuki had let himself fail or succeed… they had all been part of this.

Even so, Julius frowned.

"He's too dangerous to ignore now," he thought."And even now… I can't see the whole shape of his intentions. If I hadn't traced his past moves, even I would have been blind to this outcome."

The God of Fate crossed his arms, his golden eyes narrowing.

He wasn't merely observing anymore.

He was analyzing. Plotting.

Julius had begun considering something dangerous: the possibility of recruiting Kazuki Ayanami into the celestial ranks — to make him an angel under his command. His potential was terrifying, unshaped by any higher being, yet already more advanced in foresight and manipulation than most gods or angels alive.

"If he ascends… if he accepts the position, he might even surpass Sneha one day."

That thought alone sent a ripple through Julius's usually unshakable heart.Sneha, one of his strongest angels, whose abilities transcended most others — and yet Kazuki held a potential that eclipsed even that.

But the problem wasn't just whether Kazuki could surpass her.

It was whether he would accept the offer at all.

Julius knew better than to presume.Kazuki Ayanami wasn't a pawn. He wasn't the type to submit. His heart was unreadable, his loyalty unclaimed, and his ambitions far deeper than the mortal realm could guess.

"He might refuse," Julius mused."And if he refuses… will he rise against me one day?"

This was the question tormenting him now.

In truth, more than any enemy, any mortal, any demon, or other god — it was Kazuki's unpredictability that made even a god of fate uneasy.

For the first time in centuries, Julius realized something dangerous:A mortal existed whose future even he might not be able to write.
