I decided to visit my shop, Bao Lai. As I entered, all the workers bowed down and greeted me. I smiled and began to check on everyone's progress, ensuring everything was in place for our next move.
While checking the store, I saw a beautiful hairpin made of gold and jade. I picked it up, admiring its intricate design. Suddenly, a worker approached me and snatched it from my hand. "Can't you see this is already booked?" she said curtly. "If you want something like this, go order it."
I was taken aback by her behavior. "Who are you?" I asked, my voice firm. "How dare you speak to me like that?"
Before she could respond, an older worker, Qing Xia, approached and greeted me with respect. The young worker's expression changed, and she looked shocked.
As Qing Xia and I walked around the store, I asked her, "How's everything going today?"
"It's good," Qing Xia replied. "The new worker, Yilin, doesn't know you. Sorry for her behavior, Your Highness."
I smiled wryly. "I'll take care of it."
Qing Xia continued, "Yilin is new here, so she doesn't know the protocols. I'll make sure she learns quickly."
Later, Yilin approached me, looking nervous. "Miss Liu, I'm so sorry for my behavior earlier. I didn't know who you were. Please forgive me."
I looked at her calmly. "Even if it wasn't me, your behavior was still unacceptable. But I'll give you another chance. Just remember, respect is key in customer service."
Yilin nodded eagerly, looking relieved. "Thank you, Miss Liu. I won't let you down."
That night, I returned home to find Liyu preparing dinner. "Welcome, Master," Liyu said, smiling. "I made all your favorite dishes."
I teased Liyu about the food, and we sat down to eat together. After dinner, Liyu briefed me on our plans, including our new identity cards and departure at midnight.
"You're doing a great job, Liyu," I said, impressed. "Let's get some rest. We have a big day ahead of us."
