At this moment, Deadpool and his two companions followed Deadpool the Dog to the entrance of the Hand's secret base.
Staring at the building ahead, Deadpool the Dog sniffed the air, then turned and said to John Wick and the others, "They're inside this building."
John Wick, the legendary assassin seasoned by countless battles, was about to lay out a tactical planābut he was immediately startled by Deadpool's actions.
Deadpool yanked two blades from his back, the steel glinting coldly under the light.
He shouted, "My payday's hereāDeadpool Grandpa has arrived!" before charging straight into the building without hesitation.
Pietro Maximoff didn't seem surprised. He calmly adjusted his goggles and followed close behind.
John Wick couldn't help but sigh. It was the first time he'd seen such a reckless combat style.
He muttered under his breath, "Are all the boss's people this intense? Aren't we supposed to stage a sneak attack?"
Just then, two Hand operatives at the entrance spotted Deadpool rushing forward. One of them instantly reached for his comms device.
"Enemy attack!"
But Deadpool gave them no time to report.
In a blur, he surged forward, the blade in his hand slicing through the air in a graceful arc, cleaving the Hand operative clean in half.
Before the second guard could hit the alarm, Pietro appeared beside him in an instant and knocked him out cold with a single punch.
Then Pietro turned toward John and said, "Don't waste time. Just bulldoze through these amateurs."
Deadpool pulled out his phone to snap a photo of the bodies, then barked, "Come on, come on! You're wasting my money-making time!"
With that, the three of them pushed deeper into the building, Deadpool the Dog leaping ahead to lead the way.
John Wick rubbed his forehead and glanced up at the ceiling, as if silently questioning why he was even needed here...
And yet, he followed them inside.
Inside the building, security had already spotted Pietro and the others via the surveillance system. The alarms blared, filling the corridors with shrill warnings.
The sudden noise breathed life into the otherwise silent headquarters. Shadows stirred as the Hand mobilized en masse. Killers emerged from hidden corners, their expressions blank and unyielding.
The assassins of the Hand swarmed the corridorsācold eyes and steady hands revealed they were more than ready.
Just as Deadpool's team crossed into the inner halls, six Hand operatives clad in black tactical uniforms appeared before them, armed with pistols.
Their faces were emotionlessāperfect machines trained to kill.
They raised their guns and opened fire.
Deadpool, unfazed, twirled his blades and shouted, "Don't moveāwatch your Grandpa Deadpool shine!"
He moved with breathtaking agility.
His blades intercepted bullets mid-flight with effortless precision. His movements flowed like waterānatural, seamless, deadly.
Then he combined the blades, his wrists spinning until they became a blur, forming a brilliant vortex of steel.
The radiance from the spinning blades lit up the entire corridor.
Yet the six gunmen didn't waver. They continued to unload their magazines into Deadpool without hesitation.
Click. Click. The weapons ran dry.
Then, the Hand agents stared at Deadpoolāriddled with bullet holes but still standingāas if witnessing a ghost.
Without missing a beat, the assassins drew katanas and rushed him.
Deadpool, always the showman, turned to John Wick with a wink. "Am I hot, or am I hot? Don't fall in love with me."
John, however, stared at Deadpool's bloodied body and wanted to slap himself. For a moment, he had actually believed Deadpool had deflected the bullets.
"John," Pietro said dryly, "you don't seriously think he blocked bullets with a sword, right? He just doesn't die."
Fed up with Deadpool's antics, Pietro vanished from sight in a blur of motion.
A second later, all six assassins were airborneāslammed against the walls, ceiling, and floor with brutal force.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
When they finally hit the ground, they didn't get back up. Their life signs were gone.
Pietro's eyes gleamed coldly. This outcome didn't surprise him in the least.
. . . . . . .
Meanwhile, Murakami sat on a sofa at the top floor of the building, deep in thought.
The sudden blare of the alarm snapped him out of his meditation. His brows furrowed as a flicker of concern passed across his face.
A knock echoed from the door.
A ninja with a short sword on his back enteredāthe man was Shin, Murakami's apprentice.
Shin approached and bowed his head. "Alex Ray's team has breached the compound. The first floor is compromised."
Murakami showed no reaction to the loss of the lower floor.
He stood up calmly. "So, we're one step too late. Since our guests have arrived... come, Shin, let's go greet them."
"Yes, Master," Shin replied respectfully, stepping into line behind him.
They walked out into a dim corridor, lit only by faint lights at long intervals.
Their footsteps echoed in the silence.
At that moment, Deadpool and his team had reached the third floor via the stairwell.
Deadpool grumbled, "Why the stairs?! I hate stairs! Elevators exist for a reason!"
John Wick resisted the urge to roll his eyes.
Elevators were suicide in enemy territory. A single bomb or trap, and you're dead with nowhere to run.
Not all of them had Deadpool's gift for not dying.
So for safety's sake, John had convinced Deadpool to take the stairs.
The moment they stepped onto the third floor, a tactical unit lay in waitāarmed to the teeth with assault rifles.
Da-da-da-da!
A hail of bullets tore through the air toward them.
The mercenaries grinned savagely, expecting to see bodies shredded to pieces.
Just before the bullets struck, Deadpool was about to chargeā
"Leave it to me."
Pietro blurred into action.
In a heartbeat, every bullet that had been aimed at them reversed course and flew straight back toward the shooters.
The stunned soldiers never even processed what was happening.
The grins hadn't even left their faces before they were mowed down by their own gunfire.
It happened so fast, none of them had time to cry out.
One by one, they collapsed to the floorāsilent, lifeless.
