At the Alliance military airport on the outskirts of Black Whale City, three extraordinary figures had gathered: two Level 8 psychics and one surpassing even Level 8—a convergence so rare it was almost unheard of. Yet, the true astonishment lay not only in their presence but in their identities.
One was K, the legendary leader of Kill.
Another, Rush, the elite bodyguard of Victoria Corporation.
And the last was the source of awe for all psychics present—one of the mythical Alliance Seven Gods. Though Hades wielded powers beyond Level 8, he ranked only fourth among these seven titans. Above him stood three fearsome beings, each boasting the formidable strength of Level 9 psychics.
Hades stared blankly at K's manifestation of power and chuckled, "Magnetic Evolution."
K responded with a wry smile, "Indeed, Magnetic Evolution—and at Level 8, no less." Gradually, the shimmering metallic particles surrounding K coalesced into countless bullet-like projectiles.
These innumerable shards swirled about K like a swarm of giant flies, resembling a thin, shifting mist from afar.
Hades scoffed disdainfully, "Mere parlor tricks. Such bullets could never pierce me." Without hesitation, he lunged forward, unwilling to wait for the others to make the first move.
But Rush, standing beside K, frowned coldly, channeling his entire psychic willpower into the metallic 'bullets.'
K likewise commanded the magnetic force to control the deadly swarm.
In an instant, the metallic projectiles shot forth at Hades with the velocity of rifle fire, engulfing him completely.
Though the Death God could evade a stray bullet or two, facing an onslaught of this magnitude left him utterly defenseless.
The sharp ping of metal striking armor rang out as cracks spiderwebbed across Hades' protective plating.
Clearly, the combined assault of Rush and K far exceeded the power of conventional ammunition—each projectile capable of fracturing armor that would obliterate ordinary E-grade beasts instantly.
Yet the barrage did not relent. More radiant metallic particles continuously gathered around K, forming fresh bullets which, fueled by Rush's potent psychic energy, rained down relentlessly upon Hades.
Rooted in place and unable to move, Hades endured the merciless hailstorm battering his body.
Eventually, his armor could no longer withstand the brutal onslaught; it shattered into fragments, then pulverized into dust beneath the unyielding deluge.
Amidst the torrent of metallic hail, Hades' face was obscured; when the dust settled, the horrifying sight left all stunned—his flesh torn apart, shredded remnants of crimson tissue being stripped away by K and Rush's relentless assault.
The once metallic storm had turned a ghastly shade of red.
After thirty grueling seconds, K and Rush ceased their assault. Panting heavily, K leaned forward, clutching his knees, marveling aloud to Rush, "I never imagined our combined might could be so overwhelming... defeating the Death God Hades himself."
Rush's tone was icy. "Don't flatter yourself. If not for seeing what he did to Xiao Feng, I wouldn't have joined forces with you—not once, perhaps never again."
K gave a bitter smile, silent, fully aware that in Rush's eyes, he was little more than a contemptible nuisance.
Elsewhere, the psychics from the Ability Management Bureau, including Carrie and Louise, were utterly shaken by the display—the sheer volume, velocity, and force of those metallic bullets surpassed all expectations, an undeniable synergy surpassing mere addition.
Supported by Lin, Xiao Feng's injuries were largely healed, save for some lingering scars. Smiling faintly, he remarked, "Who would have thought? K and Rush's combined assault wields such terrifying power."
Lin lit a slender cigarette, exhaling slowly. "Indeed. Should they ever join forces again, crushing an entire army would be child's play."
Xiao Feng stretched lazily, brimming with confidence. "They won't unite easily. Now that Hades is dealt with, I must check on Rice and the others. Black Whale City should be nearly ours."
Lin nodded. "When we arrived, Turner and his men had already stormed the command center. Rest assured, a few of Kill's members remain inside. Capturing the command post will be effortless. The remaining task is mop-up—eliminating any stubborn Alliance soldiers."
Xiao Feng chuckled, "In that case, let's finish the job. And I need to find some fresh clothes—going out like this is downright embarrassing. Damn Hades, wrecking my armor like this... that was tens of thousands of Alliance credits!"
Lin laughed heartily. "Xiao Feng, short on money? Just hunt some beasts, sell the crystals, and get yourself a better suit."
Xiao Feng scoffed. "Do I need to spend money on armor? At Brownm, what armor isn't available? What a joke."
"That's true—I forgot. Your father-in-law's the president of Brownm, after all."
"Hey, don't talk nonsense. I don't even have a father-in-law yet. Carrie marrying me is still up in the air... But..." As they spoke, Hades' bloodied form suddenly twitched.
The movement startled everyone once again, all eyes fixated on the mangled figure as it stirred.
Like a grotesque skeletal phantom, Hades painfully pushed himself up, trembling violently, blood and torn flesh dripping relentlessly. With great effort, he staggered to his feet.
The weary yet horrified Rush and K exchanged uneasy glances, uncertain how to respond to this revived nightmare.
Xiao Feng cursed under his breath, "Damn... that's one hell of a monster. Still not dead."
Lin, cigarette dangling forgotten, stared in disbelief.
Hades' eyes locked fiercely onto Rush and K; his hoarse voice rasped out, "I never imagined you two could reduce me to this... Hss... hss... it hurts so damn much..."
Rush and K exchanged looks. K asked, "What now?"
Rush replied coldly, "What else? Keep going."
Hades raised his right hand—barely more than muscle and veins now, with several bullet heads lodged within. He shook his arm forcefully, casting off shredded flesh, blood, and metal fragments. Then, with his left hand, he wiped the remaining thin layer of flesh clean, revealing a gleaming metallic forearm beneath—polished to a mirror shine, utterly unmarred by the brutal impact.
A profound silence fell over all.
As Hades methodically stripped away the last remnants of flesh, a metallic skeleton was laid bare to their astonished gaze.
The revelation was beyond comprehension—Hades' body was not human.
Shaken, Xiao Feng whispered to Lin, "Am I dreaming? I can't quite accept this."
"This is absurd," Lin muttered. "If this doesn't kill him, K and Rush are in serious peril."
"Not just them. I feel we're all at risk. What do we do?" Xiao Feng's mind raced furiously for a solution.
Lin was speechless, so stunned he barely noticed his burning cigarette scorching his fingers.
Hades glared fiercely at Rush and K. "You two have truly angered me today. If I don't kill you now, how can I continue to claim the title of God?"
Rush replied icily, "We'll see who kills whom. Let's finish this."
At that moment, Xiao Feng's brow furrowed in sudden inspiration. He turned to Lin. "Whether we can put this monster down depends on you."
Lin glanced back. "Don't joke. I'm only a Level 4 psychic. You want me to fight a super Level 8? You must be joking."
"I'm serious. The outcome hinges on you. What I say is truth... I'll tell you what to do..."
