The deeper they went into the temple the clearer the writing and the brighter Anya's eyes seems to glow.
"You can read them?" asked Ethan as he pointed to the writing.
"Yeah, this is an ancient elven language." Answered Anya with excitement. "It's basically a description of how the elves of that time lived in the temple and how they worshipped whatever this temple is dedicated to."
"They haven't described what they worshipped?" asked Ethan.
"Yeah, or at least in the few scriptures written on the wall that I've read." Answered Anya. "I'm sure will find something, the writings are everywhere."
Anya spoke her eyes still glued on the writings.
Leah was staring at Ethan and Nox.
"What?" asked Ethan
"Your that kid we met when we entered the forest?" asked Leah
"Mr. Donald told us so much about you, he practically worships you." Said Leah as she scanned Ethan with her mana sense. "I thought you were some powerful genius but your just a vein strengthening stage kid."
Ethan looked at her wondering how can she be this prideful when they needed him to come save them.
'What do you know, I just started cultivating.'
"We are here." Shouted Leah as they reached an opening at the end of the temple hallways. It was a large room with stone walls filled with ancient elven language writing. To the corner of the room, Mr. Donald rested surrounded by three guys. There were green glowing crystals on the ceiling of the room, lighting it up. The mana density was even higher in the room than outside. In middle of the room was an altar. There were hallways leading out of the room at every wall of the room.
Ethan ran to where Mr. Donald was, "Mr. Donald!" shouted Ethan as he approached them.
"Ethan!" shouted Donald in clear surprise at Ethan being here.
Ethan frowned immediately upon noticing Donald's swollen, broken leg.
"How did you break your leg?" asked Ethan as he bended to take a closer look at the leg.
"That was because of me." Said one of the boys called Kian, as he scratched the back of his head clearly embarrassed. "He pushed me away from the roots that wanted to hit me."
"Don't blame yourself, it's not your fault." Comforted Donald in a soft voice. "But now you guys understand why I don't take kids into the endless forest."
They all looked away embarrassed that they had lied to him.
"I see you guys are okay." Said Anya as She approached them.
"And were glad you're not dead." Said Jax, one of the other two guys with a smile.
"Okay now that we know everybody is okay and the treant is nowhere to be seen, let's get the hell out of here." Said the last of the three boys called Nole.
"Wait a bit, give me ten minutes to note down what's written on these walls." Said Anya as she turned to Ethan. "Get Mr. Donald on Nox so we can be ready to run if the treant shows up."
"Sure." Said Ethan as he helped Donald get up and took him to Nox.
A book appeared in Anya's hand as she started noting down everything written on the walls. Five minutes later as she was nearly half finished, she ran into the drawing of a large tree, larger than she thought possible. There was drawing of Elves bowing at it's roots clearly worshipping it. She looked at the words describing the tree.
"W..wo...world tree!" she murmured then suddenly, the leaf which she had stored away appeared and started glowing green. The drawing of the tree also started glowing startling Anya as she jumped back, away from the drawing. The altar in the room's center also began to glow; then, gears could be heard moving at the altar's center.
"What did you touch Anya?" asked Ethan, clearly afraid of the changes taking place.
"Nothing, I was just noting down the writings." Said Anya as she joined them as they huddled around Nox.
The movement in the altar stopped a few seconds later. Something could be seen atop the altar.
"Hey! I don't remember that being there before." Shouted Jax as he pointed to a glowing green orb on top of the altar. They all turned to look at the orb which increased its glowing intensity. The mana outside and in the forest of the massive trees started flowing towards the temple and into the stone room.
They all saw a vision of a grand tree. It's height massive as Its canopy seemed to reach the clouds and higher. Underneath the tree, the elves sang songs of reverence as they bowed down. Suddenly a figure appeared in the sky, his face unclear but his silver eyes glowing as he looked down at the world from above like a god, but maybe he was a god.
He stretched his hands as if attempting to pluck the sky, suddenly a large white hand appeared. It was so large that its palm encompassed the whole world. The figure's silver eyes turned and Ethan felt as if he was staring at him and the vision ended.
'What was that?' thought Ethan as he suddenly felt mana pour into him as he suddenly broke through to the mid stage of the vein strengthening stage. The others all looked at him shocked by his breakthrough. Ethan then suddenly fell into a daze looking at the orb.
"Hey! What..."
As Kian was about to shake Ethan from his daze, Anya stopped him.
" He is comprehending something, don't touch him."
"What!" the others all shouted shocked again.
'This kid just broke through and now he suddenly has a burst of enlightenment. What even is there to be Enlighted about at the vein strengthening stage.' Thought Anya as they surrounded Ethan protecting him.
Ethan was in a dream like state where he felt as if he had became the wood mana flowing in the air. It was like they were speaking to him telling him how to move them. The wood mana started listening to him moving according to his thought. The others started noticing the odd behavior of the mana around Ethan.
"What! Is this kid actually comprehended Wood Intent now, and wasn't he at the vein strengthening stage." Shouted Nole shocked again at what Ethan is doing.
'Just who is this kid?' they all thought.
"It's seems the rats actually helped with something. You really found it." A voice said, coming from one exit out the room.
The treant appeared as he stared at the orb.
