The light was emanating from the monster with Knight guard rank, the Muscle Rat Rheo had wanted to lure earlier.
The Rat glowed with authority, with purpose, radiating an undeniable, focused brilliance that drew every eye toward it.
The Muscle Rat was engulfed in a divine red light aura, its figure blazing in crimson glory as if blessed by some unseen force.
The other tribe members shifted back fearfully, driven by a primal sense of reverence as the foreboding presence began to take a full form.
A loud, high-pitched sound erupted from the Muscled Rat, sharp, piercing, It was as if an unseen force had taken over it.
Then, like a larva breaking free from its cocoon, some part of his body began to increase in proportion, expanding with jerky spasms of growth, and muscle reshaping.
It grew taller and slimmer, its humanoid form elongating, yet denser in power, and its furs, they grey thicker, its tails were bushier than that of a squirrel, the tone lighter and almost becoming off-white, while thick tufts of hair along its head grew thick but light, swaying with the breeze.
Its little ears enlarged, much like that of a bunny, and it grew another thick coat of fur that covered its jaw like a mask, concealing its long sharp incisors, leaving only the large red eyes visible.
Rheo opened his mouth wide, stunned and speechless.
This monster was evolving. It was changing in real time, transforming before his very eyes.
Some of its physical features became lost in the throes of evolution, they were discarded in the remaking of a new species, while another was gained, as if nature itself rewrote the blueprint of its existence. The monster was evolving into a higher life form.
[Evolution Detected!]
An Evolution
The word echoed in his head.
Rheo's eyes brightened. He had never seen a monster evolve in reality, Only in videos. Never like this. Never this close.
After the metamorphosis was completed, the red light aura fizzled out, and the new monster species, now taller, looked down at its older generations with fierce red eyes, the rest scrambled away in fear, thinking another tyrant had replaced the Rat Emperor.
[Ding!]

The little guy really evolved into the next grade!
Rheo smiled as he rushed toward it, before he could reach it, the Ninbunny's legs buckled as if it were struggling to carry its own body weight, it then squatted down with a strained expression, its right paw resting on one knee. Its large ears drooped down in exhaustion.
"Ninbunny!!"
Rheo rushed to its side at once, at first, he was tempted to rub the thick grey coat of furs but then seeing its weak expression, a sign that its body had undergone powerful strain of evolution, he quickly carried the monster up in his arms.
Its eyelids wanted to close as if they had grown heavy but it struggled to keep them open, its fierce red eyes staring deep into Rheo's, its menacing long white incisors were already covered with a thick coat of furry mask that he grew, almost concealing its expression.
I need to get it to an Evolver Pet Center.
As if it couldn't keep its eyes open again, the monster's eyelids gently closed.
After checking that it was still breathing, Rheo heaved a heavy sigh of relief.
It was understandable, since it had evolved to a new species with a very low base strength stat, the evolution had taken a heavy toll on its body!
[You Still Have 2x Martial-type Tamer Tokens!]
Suddenly, a notification slipped into his mind.
What can I use it to do?
He was wondering, but no answer came, this system was quite an unfriendly one.
Okay, I should just use it to see what it can do, that would be the right thing to do if I wanted to know.
"Use Tamer Tokens"
Rheo waited to witness what would happen, what was the token really for?
Perhaps it would be something beneficial to him.
[One Martial-type Tamer Token Spent!]
[You Have Tamed A Ninbunny!]
Huh?
The tokens were for taming monsters?
Rheo was going crazy, this was something impossible, because he completed a quest, he was given something that could help him tame a monster, just within a blink of an eye, had he really tamed a monster?
He glanced between the monster on his arms and the interface.
Was something like that really possible for any human to do?
Tamer Tokens.
The word tumbled out of his mouth.
I Can Really Tame Monsters...
The youth was in a daze.
[As Your First Martial-type Pet, You Have Received The Title; Ninja Trainer]
[Pet Lists]
[Monster: Steel-feather Thunder Falcon]
[Status: Weak, Sleeping]
[Monster: Ninbunny]
[Status: Weak, Sleeping]
[Store Pet In Tamer Space?]
Another notification slipped into his mind.
Store it? I haven't contracted it, how will I store it in my...
Wait? It is not Soul Void like others? A Tamer Space, is there anything like that?
And Raizen is also in the tamer space?
What the hell is this?
Since he could feel the connection between the bird and him, he knew it was weak and sleeping, so the system was correct about the status.
"Well, that makes it believable, I can use Tamer Space instead of Soul Void, just like how no one else has this kind of system"
He looked back at the sleeping monster in his arms.
Still finding it unbelievable that he had tamed a monster.
The interface mentioned about pet list, did that mean he had contracted the Ninbunny?
According to his knowledge, if monsters become tamed, they are called pets, and only contracted ones can be summoned in and out of the Soul Void.
This system had changed the youth's perspective about taming and contracting monsters.
By using a Tamer Token, he could tame and contract any monster.
So if I get another monster-type tamer Token, I will be able to tame a monster of that type?
His heart was thumping hard from joyfulness.
This was basically a fantasy thing to do.
I just have to complete a quest,
But how do I get another quest?
The question hung in Rheo's mind, his brightened expression completely replaced with a clueless one.
