Chapter 7: The Holy Relic Girl
---
> "Not all miracles come from inside. Some are carried."
— Lyra Alcrest
---
Lyra traveled with Rael for the next few weeks.
She was gentle, book-smart, and deeply faithful — but completely untrained in battle. Her only tool was a relic orb her late mother left behind, sealed in cloth and marked with the Church's golden crest.
"This relic… it hums near you," Lyra said. "I think it reacts to corrupted holiness — like your magic."
Rael studied the orb. When he cast healing near it, it shimmered.
One night, Lyra asked, "Why do you risk yourself? The Church wants you gone."
Rael stared at the stars.
"Because someone needs to prove them wrong. That light doesn't belong to just the perfect."
> 🔓 Bond Formed: Rael + Lyra → Dual Relic Affinity (Incomplete)
---
Bandit Fortress – Two Days Later
Rael and Lyra snuck into a ruined fortress that had been hijacked by Relic Raiders — mercenaries who sold holy tools on the black market.
They found a boy inside, trapped in a relic cage, bruised and unconscious.
"Help…" he whispered. "They're using me… my mana…"
Rael recognized the boy's status screen: Healer. Level 2.
"They're kidnapping healers?" Lyra gasped.
Then they were spotted.
A brute in a dark mask raised a corrupted relic axe. "Another healer? We'll sell you too!"
> 🔆 Rael: "Sanctified Blast!"
✨ Lyra: "Holy Mirror Cast!"
Light and relic energy collided, doubling the beam's power — exploding across the room.
The boy fell free from the cage as it shattered.

> 🔓 New Ability: Dual Heal Chain
Rael and Lyra can now chain-cast healing/light-based spells together for enhanced effects.
