Xiao Jinsheng smiled happily, "So, you mean you're not angry anymore?"
"If I were truly angry, would I have let you in the house?" Su Ye snorted. "Honestly, with you, there's no end to the anger."
"Su Ye, what do you mean by that?" Xiao Jinsheng questioned.
Su Ye quickly stood up and wiped the foam from his shoulder. "Do as you please. I haven't finished bathing yet, so if you'll excuse me."
"Don't you dare try to ditch me!" Seeing him about to leave, Xiao Jinsheng quickly chased after him. "Except for this time, every other time I intentionally angered you, it was because you scared me first, alright?"
"If you don't explain yourself clearly, don't even think about leaving." With that, Xiao Jinsheng reached out to grab Su Ye's arm. Su Ye dodged sideways, and Xiao Jinsheng's forward grasp missed his arm, instead hitting the towel tied around his waist. Xiao Jinsheng's fingers caught the towel, and as she desperately tried to steady her stumbling, falling body, her arm swung, directly pulling the towel down to the floor.
The room was so quiet that their breathing could be clearly heard. Xiao Jinsheng steadied herself, looking in surprise at the male figure facing away from her. Her gaze swept down from Su Ye's broad shoulders and narrow waist, but before she could fully make out the area previously covered by the towel, Su Ye, with lightning speed, scooped up the towel and wrapped it around himself again. He took several deep breaths, suppressing his anger, then turned around, gritting his teeth. "Xiao! Jin! Sheng—"
"I said I didn't do it on purpose, do you believe me?" Xiao Jinsheng asked pitifully, looking at her fingertips.
"You, get out," Su Ye said, gripping the towel with one hand and Xiao Jinsheng's wrist with the other. He pulled her, opened the door, pushed her out, but she didn't budge. Xiao Jinsheng clung tightly to the doorframe with one hand and one foot, looking back at him innocently. "I already said it was an accident."
"Besides, you picked it up so fast, I didn't even see it clearly."
"Even if I did see it, I wouldn't feel shortchanged. What do you have to lose?"
"When it comes to shamelessness, if you're second, no one dares to be first," Su Ye said, laughing in exasperation.
"Then you can't be a 'male Bodhisattva' either," Xiao Jinsheng snorted. "Being so secretive, acting like you're the only one who has it. It's not like I haven't seen one before."
Su Ye, who had originally intended to let her off, felt a surge of frustration upon hearing this. "Then go find someone willing to show you!" With that, he pushed Xiao Jinsheng out of the room and locked the door from the inside.
"Spoilsport! You can't be a 'male Bodhisattva'!" Xiao Jinsheng slapped his door, and her palm tingled from the impact. She went downstairs in frustration. Que Zelian asked in confusion, "Didn't the negotiation go well?" After all, Su Ye's angry roar just now was genuine emotion, not an act.
"The negotiation itself went well, there was just a small accident at the end," Xiao Jinsheng chuckled awkwardly.
"She went to negotiate?" Mo Jiao scoffed from the sofa. "I think she went to declare war."
"Can't even a pomelo shut you up?" Xiao Jinsheng snorted, squeezing onto the sofa as well, and picked up a pomelo peel from the table, kneading it in her hands.
"I haven't settled the score with you for tightening the faucet yet," Xiao Jinsheng said, looking at Mo Jiao. Mo Jiao leaned back on the sofa, his purple eyes cold, his lips curling into a sarcastic smile. "So what?"
"These pomelos are your compensation to me," Xiao Jinsheng reached out to snatch the plate of peeled pomelo slices from him. Mo Jiao naturally wouldn't let her have her way and quickly sat up to grab them back. Xiao Jinsheng, with the half-pomelo peel in her hand, directly slapped it onto his head as he approached. Snatching the pomelo slices was fake; annoying Mo Jiao was real.
"Xiao Jinsheng!" Dark mist instantly surged around Mo Jiao. Xiao Jinsheng tumbled and scrambled over the sofa, grabbing Huai Qing and Que Zelian with each hand to shield herself. Using them as cover, she made a mocking face at Mo Jiao from behind. Mo Jiao took the pomelo peel off his head, ready to settle scores with Xiao Jinsheng. Huai Qing and Que Zelian both held him back.
Que Zelian advised, "She's just a bit mischievous, it's not intentional."
"She planned it for a long time and feigned a move; that's not unintentional," Mo Jiao sneered. "Que Zelian, I never noticed you could lie so blatantly before."
"There's no need to argue when we're under the same roof. Dinner's ready anyway, why don't we eat first?" Huai Qing also advised from the side.
The dining table was a six-seater, with three positions on one side. Xiao Jinsheng sat in the middle of one side, with Que Zelian to her left and Huai Qing to her right. Directly opposite her, she had specifically arranged for Yu Yunxiao to sit. Having angered two men in a short period, she didn't dare to have Su Ye and Mo Jiao sit next to her, nor did she dare to have them sit directly opposite her.
Mo Jiao sat to Yu Yunxiao's left, his purple eyes glancing at Xiao Jinsheng. "Look at how timid you are."
"Thanks for the concern, I'm perfectly fine," Xiao Jinsheng turned her head. Mo Jiao was silent. Was that what he meant?
Su Ye came downstairs and found the atmosphere in the dining room a bit strange. Not long ago, he had heard Mo Jiao's furious shout of "Xiao Jinsheng" from the second floor. Su Ye's gaze, filled with suspicion, swept over Mo Jiao and Xiao Jinsheng. As soon as Xiao Jinsheng met his gaze, she immediately averted her eyes. But as she dodged to the right, she met Mo Jiao's sinister stare again. She quickly straightened her gaze, looking at Yu Yunxiao directly opposite her.
Yu Yunxiao asked in surprise, "The person you're going to argue with later isn't me, is it?"
"Don't think so badly of me, alright?" Xiao Jinsheng warned.
"Mm, you're not bad; you just put a pomelo peel on my head," Mo Jiao said from the side. Su Ye finally understood why Mo Jiao had shouted Xiao Jinsheng's name so loudly downstairs earlier. Imagining Mo Jiao with a pomelo peel on his head, Su Ye wanted to laugh, then he heard Mo Jiao ask, "What did she do to you upstairs? Why did you shout so loudly?"
Su Ye: ... Que Zelian also looked at Su Ye curiously. Xiao Jinsheng had only said there was a small accident downstairs; she refused to elaborate on what exactly happened.
"She..." Su Ye pondered. "She put a basin on my head."
Xiao Jinsheng, holding her chopsticks, was busy eating, not participating in the discussion. Mo Jiao, however, seemed unfazed. "I think she just has clumsy hands." The other three men had no doubt about Su Ye's words. After all, it was indeed something Xiao Jinsheng would do; she had just put a pomelo peel on Mo Jiao's head right in front of their eyes.
"Um, Mo Jiao," Xiao Jinsheng called out to Mo Jiao, who was washing dishes after dinner. "I have something to tell you."
"Want to negotiate peace with me too?" Mo Jiao sneered. "But I don't want to get along peacefully with you today."
"I'm just reminding you, your current score is negative 59 points," Xiao Jinsheng said.
"As you all know, I'm a very understanding person," Xiao Jinsheng sighed. Hearing this, the five men present fell silent.
"Of course, I'm just understanding. If you feel I don't understand you, then you need to reflect on your own issues, because I am un-der-stand-ing!"
"Here we go again," Su Ye groaned, pinching his brow.
"What exactly do you want to say?" Mo Jiao pressed.
"I have a space," Xiao Jinsheng replied.
Mo Jiao was unenthusiastic. "Oh, so what?"
"A 12-star space," Xiao Jinsheng decided not to hide it anymore. After all, both the space and the weapon were bound to her. If she died, all bound items would self-destruct; everyone in the Misty Continent knew this rule. There was no need to worry about others killing her for treasure. Besides, the five men before her were her beast-husbands; as long as she didn't agree to a divorce, their lives would be bound to hers. Especially now that Xiao Jinsheng had improved her strength and was adapting to the survival rules of the apocalypse in the Misty Continent, she wasn't afraid at all.
"A 12-star space? Is this your planned evening show?" Yu Yunxiao didn't believe her.
