Chapter 7 - Chapter 7- Damn Courtyard, the Demon Tiger

Lin Bao'er noticed her master Huan Changge deep in thought.

"Master, is something bothering you?"

Huan Changge turned toward Lin Bao'er with a pitiful expression, tears streaming down his face.

"Disciple, I accepted you as my disciple, but where are we going to live? I don't even have a place of my own."

Lin Bao'er looked confused, placing a finger on her lips.

"Huh? Master, you have this whole temple and the courtyard with rooms. What are you worried about?"

Huan Changge's expression changed, confusion flashing across his face.

"What? Courtyard? Where?"

She pointed to the right side.

"Master, when I was outside the temple, I saw a courtyard over there. There were so many rooms."

Huan Changge's pupils shrank.

When the old master left him inside the temple, he had never once explored outside. So he had no idea there was a courtyard nearby.

"What? There really is a courtyard?"

"Yes, Master. I saw it with my own eyes."

She widened her eyes with both hands for emphasis.

Huan Changge began to think seriously.

Now that I have an 8-meter radius for the Invincible Domain...

"System, how much area does my Invincible Domain currently cover?"

A system window appeared, showing a map of the Hundred Thousand Mountains.

There were countless peaks surrounding Feixian Mountain. Within Feixian Mountain, a temple and a courtyard were established, but his domain only covered the temple.

*100000 domain points hahaha I have to complete this*

Then Huan Changge sighed deeply.

"What a pain. We have to stay here for now."

Suddenly, he sniffed the air and recoiled.

He smelled himself.

It was unbearable. He was filthy.

"Disciple, do you see that vat beside you?"

Lin Bao'er turned her head and saw a large, old vat.

"Go and place this vat outside the temple. It's raining heavily right now, so it should fill up quickly."

"Okay, Master."

Without hesitation, Lin Bao'er hugged the vat and tiptoed outside.

Although young, she was still a cultivator. Moving a hundred-jin vat was nothing to her.

Huan Changge looked at her small, slender back and sighed emotionally.

Having a disciple is great. She's the perfect tool.

He had been stuck in this temple for a month. His body reeked. Once the vat was full, he could finally take a proper bath.

Splash!

Outside, heavy rain poured down, pelting the dying bodhi tree beside the temple with sharp, crisp sounds.

Lin Bao'er hummed a tune, happily placing the vat in the open rain and preparing to return.

Suddenly—

Roar—

A low, growling roar echoed from the darkness ahead. Demonic energy surged like a tidal wave.

Lin Bao'er's gaze snapped forward.

A pair of green, vertical eyes glowed in the dark, locked onto her.

She could instantly feel the immense danger.

ROAR!!!

The roar of a tiger tore through the air like thunder, shaking her very soul.

From the darkness, a massive black tiger, three meters tall, charged forward like a demon!

Its bloody maw gaped wide, enough to swallow her whole.

A tiger demon!

Lin Bao'er's face paled. She turned and bolted toward the temple.

"Master! Master! This is bad! There's a tiger demon outside!"

She rushed back in, heart pounding.

The demonic aura from that tiger was overwhelming. It had passed the third heavenly tribulation—at least Golden Core stage, just like Le Xiao!

Her cultivation was only at the sixth layer of Foundation Establishment. She didn't stand a chance!

Huan Changge had also heard the tiger's roar.

But within his Invincible Domain, he remained completely unfazed.

He said slowly, "Disciple, come to Master's side."

Lin Bao'er didn't hesitate and quickly ran over.

She blinked, her little nose twitching.

There it was again—the pungent, sour smell of a man who hadn't bathed in weeks.

But she didn't say anything.

What puzzled her more was that she still couldn't feel a shred of cultivation from her master.

No spiritual energy, no pressure—he felt just like a mortal.

If she hadn't seen him kill Le Xiao with her own eyes, she would never have believed he was a Nascent Soul expert!

Huan Changge saw the confusion on her face and felt a bit awkward.

Still, he kept his face calm and spoke solemnly:

"Entering the mortal world and experiencing its many forms is the only way to comprehend the Supreme Great Dao. My good disciple, do you understand?"

Lin Bao'er's eyes lit up with awe.

"Master, this disciple will definitely comprehend and experience it thoroughly!"

Huan Changge nodded in satisfaction.

"Very good."
