Lucia POV—
"Is this true?" The man's voice was heavy. It was full of coldness and judging by his look, I could tell he wanted to cut my skull open. This man is sent by my 'father.' Wow, what a kind father he is! He didn't even want to see his 'instant' daughter, I guess... he didn't want 'her' or, me... in fact, maybe he wanted to get rid of me.
Wheeler nodded his head. He said, "Yes, Lord Tungsterm. She is His Majesty's daughter; I am sure of it. One hundred percent, Sir!"
Lord Tungsterm clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Her hair is same as His Majesty's but that doesn't mean she is his child. For all we know, she might be same as the others before. 507 children... both son and daughter included, have tried to fool His Majesty. Why should she be any different?"
Randy said, "We are sure, Sir."
Lord Tungsterm frowned, "Why?"
"She has the 'royal mark' on her feet," replied Wheeler.
Lord Tungsterm eyes widened in surprise, yet he immediately contained his surprise and hissed, "It might be fake! Others have done this before!" Does this man hate me? Man! He is radiating tons of killing intent towards me. Is he a bad man? Then again, I am no good either.
"Sir, please check yourself. We are not lying," whispered Randy.
Lord Tungsterm inhaled sharply. He hissed, "If this turns fake then I will strip both of you of your ranks!"
Giving them a heated look, he walked towards me and grabbed my foot, even before I could react properly. As soon as he glanced at my feet, his movements ceased abruptly. He slowly lowered my feet. Now I really think this man is the bad guy! A scheming man who wants to separate 'father-daughter' pair.
Maybe he will say, 'She is fake!'
'She is an illegitimate child! Her existence is a stain for the royal family!'
'An outcast will always remain an outcast.'
Suddenly, I felt something wet on feet. The man, Lord Tungsterm was crying. A grown, powerful, and 'villainous' man like him was crying at my feet, as if he had done a sin. When he saw me looking at him with shocked eyes, he quickly stopped crying and wiped his tears with a handkerchief. He kneeled down on one knee and said, "I am sorry, Your Highness! I should have never doubted your identity. What I did was ineffable, a sin to be exact. If you want to punish me, I will not utter a single word in protest."
This may not be the 'villain' after all. I guess, I misunderstood his intentions. No, maybe he is faking! Ahh, I don't know but I am sure time will definitely reveal his true nature. For now, let's play along.
I shook my head, refusing to give him any sort of punishment whatsoever.
Seeing my refusal, or 'kindness,' his opened wide in shock. Just tell me, how much more this man is going to be shocked?!
Lord Tungsterm nodded his head slowly as if he was trying to understand the reason for my refusal. He looked into my eyes once more. This time, a mixture of softness and happiness was brewing in his eyes. It was like he was seeing something more precious than a treasure. But it was just for a moment. In the next instant, he asked, "Who did this to you?" His voice was strained with storm of emotions, waiting to wreak havoc on everyone.
"Sir, if I may be bold enough... Her Highness can't speak for the moment," said Randy.
"Who did this, Knight Randy? Tell me the name of that bas... of that man!"
Wheeler replied, "Her Highness killed him."
Lord Tungsterm's eyes filled with pride. He said, "You are like your father. The blood inside your veins speaks for itself," he turned towards Randy, "that man... where is his body now?"
"I have sent 'it' to the 'MDF.' They will give the results within a day," replied Randy.
Lord Tungsterm said, "Good," he turned towards me again, "Thomas, my name is Thomas Tungsterm. You can call me Thomas. What do you want, Your Highness? Do you want to eat something? You can tell me anything. Or, do you want something else?"
I made a 'no' sign with my hands. Lord Tungsterm, Thomas continued, "You can tell me anything, Your Highness. Anything. I am your servant. Just tell me, and I will do anything for you. I can kill for you." Ah, this is going dark.
I nodded awkwardly. This man, who refrained himself from cursing, was now telling me that he would kill anyone for me. I don't know what to say about this.
"Your Highness, it's time for us to go then. His Majesty is eagerly waiting for your arrival at the palace," said Thomas. I clenched my hands in worry. Hah! I guess, I am going to meet my 'father.' Good luck to me... let's see what will happen.
