He sighed with relief, he didn't want to go to sleep and wake up with shade chewing his throat. The next day he woke refreshed while Shade sat there in the conor watching him.
Come he said as he led Shade to the forest. They were going hunting and they killed 3 boars in a short time. Shade could easily track them and he seems to know a trick to killing them quickly.
He targeted a spot on the top of their heads, it seems the wood armour is softer there. With this trick they didn't need to put in much effort to kill the dumb pigs.
After they returned he roasted an entire leg of the giant pig and gave it to Shade who just sniffed it and turned his head without touching it.
Rude, what? You don't like cooked meat? He threw him another leg, raw this time and shade started eating it with grace one would not expect from a wild beast.
He ate his roasted leg and was satisfied, since he was fully regenerated and his essence was full, he didn't need too much food to compensate for the wasted energy so a leg was enough to fill him.
Ofcourse he still ate way more than a normal human would. Eat until your fill buddy, he said to Shade who continued stuffing himself until he ate almost half of the large boar.
They still had two full boars worth of meat plus this half, it was a lot of food. He was thinking what to do with it when he remembered the kids.
He didn't know if they had class right now and he couldn't just walk around town in the middle of the day with so much meat and not draw attention to himself.
He decided he was going to bring the meat over at night but he had to check in with Anitta and Thea first. Stay here, he said to the sleeping cat as he left.
He arrived in the building and went to the class room, he had noticed Anitta on the other room. He leaned on the wall drowned in shadows and thought about trying something.
He wanted to check if he could also sink into the shadows like Shade and he failed. It made sense, he's not able to use any bloodline ability the same way as their original beasts.
He did believe someday he would,maybe when he reaches rank 2 if that stage even exist which he strongly believes it does. He had heard tales about bloodline holders who can destroy mountains with a single punch.
Although he was not able to sink into the shadows he was able blend with them. His clothes and body seem to take of the same shade as the shadows making him invisible.
Even his form was obscured while standing there but the ability was very costly, essence wise. Anitta came back humming a soft tune with a beautiful voice.

Cut the meat into pieces and wrapped it with the boar hide. He smiled with satisfaction.
