Chapter 7 - Him

" Yes, what can I help you with?" The Stiles guy said, inspecting us through the windshield he called glasses. They were just enormous for his eyes, and they seemed pretty heavy too. His ears were surely lifting a ton of weight just by holding those glasses up, and another thing; he wasn't Cole, but had an uncanny resemblance to him.

" Have you prepared the digital files that Mr Mali would be needing for the trial this morning?" Galinda asked, stopping right in front of him and placing one of her hands on her hip and the other on his desk.

" Mr Mali has a case this morning?" He asked, bewildered, his almost shut eyes taking a wider width that should have been normal. He indeed looked so much like Cole. He was chubby, but in a sexy kind of way, cleanly cut, hairy, but not too much, with visible dimples on his cheeks.

" No, he's going to the hospital this morning, and probably, when he gets back, he's going to be carrying with him, the little baby that he gave birth to", Galinda said, sounding so sarcastic and reminding me so much of my mom whenever she was pissed off. " Where is it boy?"

" I don't know, okay, I thought...", he ran his hands on his desk, as if he was searching for a pencil, or a book, or something on the table, but didn't touch anything in particular and ended up going back to his computer, all while still staring at Galinda.

" Look man, you got to calm down and gather your thoughts together", she said, bringing her hands above her breasts and bringing them down, gesturing for him to calm down.

How she not have known? The poor fellow couldn't concentrate due to the disproportionate size of ass and boobs that were before him, plus the clear skin that shone so brightly like caramel oil tanned in the sun.

" You must've done it, I know you have, so where is it?" She continued.

" Okay, um......…. What case is it again?" He asked, seeming to get a control of himself.

" Brown v. Board of logistics, 347 U.S. 483 2024", she said quickly, as if she had been rehearsing the statement all night. From the normal look on Stiles face, I could tell that I was the only one who was surprised. "It's the case between the congressman and the board of logistics", she quickly added, making me wonder why she hadn't just said the latter earlier and save my brain the stress of trying to decode the nature of the case.

" Wait, will I have to start referring to cases in such bizarre and unmemorable statistics?" I wanted to ask, but I didn't.

Stiles typed away on his computer, moving his fingers more faster than Ludwig Van Beethoven when he was playing the Fur Elise at the national musical orchestra.

He typed in a search word and the name came up; Brown v. Board of logistics, " oh, here it is, I've actually done it", he said.

" I knew you must've probably just forgotten", Galinda said, placing a soft pat on his back. How did she expect him not to forget? When the case name sounded like something out of a CIA's encryption code textbook.

He clicked on his mouse, scrolled through a pile of files, inserted a password that was about twenty characters and then pressed " copy".

The screen started showing signs of a file being downloaded into a flashdrive. Once the copying was completed, he retrieved a red and black flashdrive from his C.P.U and handed it over to Galinda, " here you go. All ready".

" Thank you love", Galinda said, taking the flashdrive from him and placing it into the box.

I could've sworn that I saw Stiles blushing. His cheeks turned red, like a cherry or a tomato, and even as we walked away his eyes lingered on, his eyeballs swaying in the same rhythm as Galinda.

Poor Stiles. He was the tech guy, and most of the time, people like him spend so much time on their computers that they begin to forget that they are actually human beings and not the computers that they were operating. He must've not dated anyone from the look of it, and from how struck he was by Galinda, I would definitely agree if he turned out to be a virgin. He was completely naive, and I found that very cute.

" So, here's Mr Mali's car keys. Place the box on the passenger seat, I repeat, on the passenger seat. He likes to go through some last minute stuff whenever he is in the car. Here you go?" She said as we headed back to the elevator.

" Okay. Is his driver there or something?" I asked, wondering who I was going to give the car keys to after placing the items in the car.

" What? He doesn't have a driver", she said, chuckling as she pressed the button on the elevator, " and oh, you'll have to wait for it to take me up, then you can use it".

" But if he doesn't have a driver, who is going to drive him to the courthouse? I mean, according to what you said, he can't be going through stuff and driving at the same time".

" You", she said. The door of the elevator tugged open and she stepped in, turning around to face me.

" Excuse me, who did you say is going to drive him to the courthouse?" I asked, just to make sure that there was a Chinese person with the name ' Yu', who was going to drive him to the courthouse because I was certain that it wasn't me; I'm his employee, but when I applied for the job I never signed up to be a driver.

" It's you, you will be driving him to the courthouse", she said as the door shut tight in front of her, making it seem as if she had delivered an inauspicious news and disappeared like a ghost.

" What?!" I screamed, but she was long gone.

By the time I got to the lobby, I was already out of breath. I placed the box on the ground and did some stretching, widening my legs and touching my left feet with my right hand.

" I do like what I see", I heard Hakim's voice behind me and almost landed face first on the floor.
