Kira watched as Andy left for school,he was extremely large because she had to explain to him where she was the entire night, she told him she served drinks in the clubbing section to gain extra tips, Andy totally suspected her and knew she was lying,but he didn't want to make her feel nervous so he bought her made up story.
Andrew hoped she did nothing bad to earn money,the only thing he suspected was that she took a loan from someone else,and he was terrified of that,he knew their parents met their downfall due to loans and he didn't want history to repeat itself, especially when his sister was involved.
She already told him she had paid for half of their grandmother's treatment,and she already paid his fees for schooling,he felt relieved and bothered at the same time,what if she can't repay the money that she borrowed?
Deep down in his heart,he also hoped she didn't borrow it,but if she didn't,where did she get the money? He brushed the idea off a d decided not to think too much about it.
Kira watched him disappear out of sight before walking into the house,she fixed herself breakfast and decided to make something to take to the hospital for her grandmother, she made a simple breakfast,rice ,bacon and veggies,her grandmother needed a healthy meal.
After preparing the food,she decided to freshen up again and change into something more comfortable,she noticed the black designer coat she took from the clubhouse suite,she immediately sighed,she forgot to return it.
She grabbed the coat and admired it again,the cologne was still there,it smelled so nice and expensive that she knew it costs thousands of dollars, something she could never afford,so she decided to drooling over a coat,she hope she could return it soon.
Then it struck her,what if there was something valuable inside the pockets that the man was currently searching for? She immediately became worried,she didn't want to look like a thief, she already ruined her dignity,she didn't want to ruin her reputation too.
She stuck her hand inside the left pocket checking if anything is inside,she sincerely hoped she would find nothing valuable inside it, else, she'll have trouble explaining when she returns it.
She thoroughly searched but found nothing,she breathed a sigh of relief a d check the other pocket,she stuck her hand deeper and then she felt something,she pulled it out and it was.....
A card.
She gently dropped the suit and gazed at the card,it was a complimentary card,she noticed a name on it.
Alexander Hastings.
Hastings? That name sounded familiar,then it struck her, the Hastings were known as the most powerful Mafia family in the US,they were feared and had multiple companies around the world,the head of the Hastings ( Collins Hastings) was an old man in his 90s he stepped down for the empire and handed it over to his son Derrick Hastings,who died two years ago,the empire was now under Collin's grandson whose name wasn't yet Identified,the only thing that people knew about him was that he was known as " the viper" he was feared by other Mafias and popular business men.
She became confused,the man she slept with was Alexander Hastings? Is he the viper?
She covered her mouth in shock,that can't be, maybe Alexander Hastings was just part of the Hastings family,he can't be the viper.
She knew she had to do one thing really quick.
Return the coat and act like she didn't see the complimentary card.
Hours went by and Ƙira still couldn't figure out a way to return the coat,she paced around the room panicking, Andy had returned from school hours ago and he was in his room probably reading,she didn't want to disturb him at all,so she made up an excuse telling him she needed to sleep.
It was past 9pm. She spent the entire day with her grandmother,she told her granny she borrowed some money from a co worker, that she would be able to repay within a long period of time,that there's no need to worry,she didn't miss the look of worry on her grandmother's eyes,the old lady probably doubted her, but she didn't say anything about it,she just nodded and ate quietly.
Kira was still pacing around the room with her thumb in-between her teeth,then suddenly her phone rang.
She picked up the phone and looked at the caller ID.
Leslie.
She hesitated for a moment before picking up the call.
"Hi Leslie"
"Hey baby girl,you coming tonight?" She heard Leslie's voice from the other side of the call.
"Huh? No why do you ask?" She inquired.
"Oh I thought you'll come tonight yunno, that's why I called to inquire if you're coming"
"Naa sorry girl, I'm not coming tonight,I don't think I'll be coming back there again, sorry sweetheart"
"Oh really? But why? I thought you'll show up tonight cos tonight seems like fire,do you know the Carson brothers?"
"The Carson brothers? The owners of Carson company limited in Chicago?"
"Yeah exactly, those five brothers, they're in the club right now and it's getting hot in here girl,trust me when I say they've been throwing money on all the ladies tonight like money was grown on trees, girl you're gonna miss a lot of you don't show up,but uh... It's okay, your choice girl"
Kira exhaled loudly,she was so confused and tempted,she doesn't want to go back there anymore,she couldn't bear the sight of that place again, but where would she get the remaining money for her grandmother's treatment? She still owes the hospital three hundred thousand dollars,how on earth is she gonna pay the rest of the bill?
She held her phone against her ear and thought about it for a split second,she could go there tonight,get a few thousand dollars again,she doesn't need to sell her body like last night,she would strip for the rest of the week and get the money she needed,then she'll quit going to the club and continue being a waitress.
"Girl,you there?" She heard Leslie's voice again,she sighed and said "yeah I was lost in thought for a sec but uh...."
She looked at the designers coat she took from the suite, finally she could return it.
"Huh?"
"I'm coming over right now,see you in minutes"
