Chapter 4 - CHAPTER 4 SHADOWS BEHIND THE BLADE

The scene shifts, and we see a beautiful and elegant young girl. She had white hair and red eyes, dressed in a black training uniform, holding a black sword. She was fighting against a person who appeared older and more experienced. He too had white hair, blue eyes, and wore a similar black training uniform.

Both of them were fighting with astonishing speed, their sword movements so fast that it was almost impossible to track them. Watching their battle was a man who remarked:

"Hmm... just like always, as expected of the Lingyi family. But this time, the youngest one, Xiao Yi, seems rather weak."

To this, Mr. Smith replied,

"Yes, she is still weak for now, but soon she will rise as an exceptional Magic Knight."

The scene shifts back to the duel, where Xiao Yi is visibly exhausted. Taking advantage, the older boy attacks her with a vertical slash followed immediately by a horizontal strike. Xiao Yi is thrown back and crashes into a wall. A drop of blood escapes her mouth. The match is declared over.

The boy walks over and asks,

"Xiao Yi, are you okay?"

To which she replies,

"I'm fine, Brother Xiao Xuan. Truly, I am."

The scene shifts again, this time to a quiet room where Xiao Yi is resting. In her mind, she reflects:

"It's been seven years since I arrived in this world. Over all this time, I've learned a lot. At first, I kept myself out of the spotlight so no one would pay attention to me. One major realization was that cultivation is actually possible here.

This world is divided into four continents:

Eastern Continent, where the Demon-Humans reside.

Western Holy Church, which hates Demon-Humans and wants to eliminate them.

Northern Continent, where the Ashoka Sect is located and terrifying monsters roam.

Southern Continent, home to the Selection School that trains Magic Knights.

And at the center lies the Central Palace, where most of humanity lives.

Everyone seems to think I'm weak, but actually... this is all part of my plan. Whether I should attend Knight School or not is something only I can decide. But looking at my performance so far, getting in won't be a problem at all. So there's really nothing to worry about."
