Chapter 37 - Chapter 37:The Promise.

Chiga didn't leave a Flying Thunder God kunai near the dormitory because after every training session, he always liked to walk back slowly by himself. But today, Chiga wasn't alone.

There was a small black cat on his shoulder. At this moment, the man and the cat were leisurely walking on the road in silence.

However, this was only on the surface. In Chiga's mind, Medis's mature female voice was chattering non-stop:

"Master, can I stay by your side forever?"

"Of course."

"Hehe, I love you, Master. Actually, I'm a girl."

"I know that."

"Not the kind of little female cat Master is thinking of. Forget it, you'll know later!"

(A/N: You're a cat,You want him to get turned on by that?)

"Hmm? I've noticed since just now—can you hear my inner voice?"

"I can hear a part of it. If what Master is thinking about is related to me, I can hear it."

"Oh, okay. That's not bad."

Chiga was chatting animatedly with Medis when a spherical figure appeared in the distance, rapidly approaching in his direction.

Medis immediately became alert. Having just been born, she was wary of all other creatures except Chiga.

"Master, someone's coming."

"I see him. Don't worry, it's fine."

Chiga reached out and comforted Medis, indicating that the person approaching was one of his own.

The figure got closer and closer. Chiga had already recognized who it was—it was Bridge. Bridge's face lit up when he saw Chiga, and he waved and shouted:

"Chiga! That beautiful female officer is here again, waiting for you by the dorm building!"

Hiss—he almost forgot about Gion. Chiga slapped his forehead. Just like last time, he picked up Bridge and shot straight into the sky.

Bridge, who was experiencing flight again, was already beyond caring. He didn't struggle. How did the saying go? Sometimes life is like that. If you can't resist, you might as well enjoy it.

As soon as they landed, a figure pounced into Chiga's arms, hugging his waist tightly.

It was none other than the beautiful female officer Bridge had mentioned—Gion.

Although she had waited for Chiga all day and even been stood up by him in the afternoon, she wasn't upset. She had heard from Sengoku that Chiga's eyes seemed to be having problems. Knowing how important those eyes were to him, she rushed over and even conscripted someone to find him.

Now, seeing Chiga appear safe and sound, she finally felt completely relieved.

Chiga looked at Gion in his arms, his eyes softening. Without any reservations, he returned the embrace, holding her tightly.

Gion also straightened up, but because Chiga was still a head shorter than her at the moment, his face ended up buried between the two soft mounds on her chest.

Feeling Chiga's warm breath on her skin, Gion's cheeks turned as red as ripe apples. Bridge, seeing this from the side, quickly ran away using Soru.

But the few of them had forgotten about the small black cat present at the scene. In Chiga's mind, as he was currently enjoying a "face-wash" service, a voice suddenly rang out:

"Master, are you going to mate with that human?"

Pfft! Chiga directly spat out a mouthful, startling Gion into thinking his eyes were still having issues.

Ignoring the clothes on her chest that Chiga had just soaked, she quickly cupped his face with both hands and stared intently at his Rinnegan.

"Eh? Besides an extra tomoe, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong."

"Ugh... I'm fine. I just choked. Cough cough, choked."

Gion's grip was a bit strong, squeezing Chiga's mouth into a pout. He patted her hand to reassure her, taking the opportunity to free his face.

At that moment, Gion also noticed Medis on Chiga's shoulder. Since it was getting late and Medis's fur was very dark, she hadn't seen the cat until now. Seeing her, Gion couldn't help but clap her hands and exclaim:

"When did you get a cat? She's quite cute."

As she reached out to hug Medis, the little black cat instantly vanished, reappearing on Chiga's other shoulder a second later, even giving Gion a provocative look.

This startled Gion. Medis's speed just now was more than twice as fast as Bridge's Soru.

This absolutely wasn't an ordinary cat. Ignoring the provocation, she turned to Chiga with a curious expression.

Chiga didn't hide anything from her. Gion was the closest person to him in the entire Navy. There was nothing to hide. He simply explained Medis's birth and identity.

After a long moment, Gion finally managed to accept everything she had just heard. If it weren't Chiga, this man who defied common sense, telling her these things, she would've slapped the speaker straight to the Great Buddha.

Taking a deep breath, Gion slowly spoke:

"So, you're saying this black cat is the true form of that Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit—the Bakeneko?"

"Yes. I named her Medis."

"Medis? Hmm, that's a nice name. So she's also a little female cat?"

"Ah, yes."

Chiga looked at Gion somewhat puzzled. As a cat, was gender that important?

Gion, of course, didn't think so either. But Medis's human-like expressions and actions had just now triggered a different kind of crisis in her—as a woman. And it wasn't the kind related to combat!

Still, she couldn't possibly contend with a cat over something like that... right?

Shaking her head, Gion extended a finger and poked Chiga's chest, saying seductively:

"Alright, little brother Chiga, do you remember what I promised you?"

"Of course I remember!"

Here it comes! The final reward! Chiga's heart raced a little, and the arm holding Gion subconsciously tightened.

"You're hurting me!"

Gion, both amused and exasperated, patted his arm. Chiga quickly loosened his grip, realizing he'd been too eager.

This wasn't really Chiga's fault. This was his third life, and he was still a complete virgin.

On Earth, he'd been an orphan—his own survival was a struggle. In Naruto, he'd constantly faced life-threatening danger. When could he have had time to think about these kinds of things?

Gion, of course, didn't blame him. She continued:

"It's good that you remember. You've already accomplished what we talked about, so tell me your condition."

After saying that, she avoided Chiga's gaze, turning her head.

Chiga released her from the embrace, gently cupped her chin, and made her face him. Then he said seriously:

"My condition is... I want you to date me, Become my woman. Is this condition... acceptable?"

Gion stared blankly at him. Without a doubt, this was the very answer she had most hoped for.

When she proposed that goal to him at the dormitory entrance, it was her way of confirming Chiga's feelings. She had already developed emotions for him but hadn't been sure how he felt. In a moment of impulsiveness, she gave him what she thought was a difficult goal.

She never expected him to achieve it in just one year.

And now he'd given her the very answer she wanted to hear. At this moment, Gion felt nothing but immense happiness.

Being bashful wasn't her style. The moment Chiga finished his sentence, she assaulted him with a pair of red lips.

After a brief moment of stunned silence, Chiga responded just as passionately.

The only witness to this moment was Medis, perched on a shoulder. Her small paws covered her face—but through the slight gap between them, the little cat was clearly peeking.
