Andrew's face lit up with excitement, his eyes locked tightly on Susan. "Susan, I knew it was you! You still remember me, right?"
Sam immediately looked hurt, whining, "Mom, why don't you come back to us? I miss the cakes you used to make me!"
If this had been before, Susan would have rushed forward, heart aching.
But after being reborn, her heart no longer ached for them. Her expression remained unchanged, her mind as calm as still water.
She took a sip of water to steady her emotions and avoided the topic, saying only, "I came to ask you something."
Andrew was so happy he was almost awkward. "What do you want to know?"
Susan thought for a moment and said, "Everything about Gavin. I want to know all the information."
Hearing Gavin's name, Andrew's expression shifted, and his eyes darkened. "Susan, is this the real reason you wanted to see me? I can tell you clearly: Gavin is a dangerous man who values only his own interests."
Susan smiled faintly and calmly asked, "Why do you say that?"
Gavin thought she was taking his words seriously and hurried to explain, "Don't be fooled by his appearance, he's a hypocrite!"
"He plays dirty in business. He once blacklisted a female celebrity who tried to use him for publicity, showing no mercy."
"And I heard he even had a fiancée, but when she went bankrupt, he immediately broke off the engagement! Isn't that just abandoning her after the fact?"
Susan nodded thoughtfully. At that moment, Sam blurted out loudly, "I don't like him either, Mom! He's a big bad guy! Dad said he'll take you away from me, so I'll never see you again. Is that true?"
Susan frowned but didn't answer. Andrew suddenly felt a surge of urgency, frowning as he added, "Susan, you really must stay away from him. If he treats his fiancée like that, one day he might do the same to you!"
Susan smiled slightly and looked at Andrew across the table. She nodded. "I understand. Thanks for the warning."
Since Andrew was so obedient, Susan decided to give him a little encouragement.
At that moment, Andrew's system 007 alerted:
[Congratulations host, Susan's favorability toward you has increased by 1. Keep it up!]
Andrew gripped his hands tightly, his bright eyes fixed on Susan.
"Susan, if you want to know anything else, just ask me!"
Susan nodded with an unusually straightforward tone, "But I hope you don't send any more gifts to my set before I finish filming. We can talk about everything else later."
Andrew was naturally thrilled by her half-softened reply and readily agreed. After dinner, Susan politely refused Andrew's offer to drive her home.
The next day at the set, Andrew indeed didn't send any gifts.
But Gavin once again made a conspicuous visit to the set. Susan greeted him calmly with a smile, and Gavin returned a polite one.
After a moment, Gavin approached her without hesitation and suddenly asked, "Did you meet with Andrew yesterday?"
Susan froze, shocked. How did he know? Was he watching her and Gavin?
Sensing her thoughts, Gavin chuckled, "You two were photographed. I took it upon myself to suppress the photos."
Photographed again? Back when Susan was unknown, she kept a low profile. Now that she was famous, she hadn't expected constant surveillance.
She realized she'd been suspicious for no reason and felt embarrassed. "Thank you. I just wanted to talk to him and ask him to stop sending gifts. It's a waste."
Gavin smiled faintly, his dark eyes resting on her as he said casually, "If you don't want to see him again, you can just tell me."
