Amber stood frozen, still staring up at the massive projection of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon outside Galehaven Comics. It was huge, glowing, and way too lifelike. "No way—Eula thinks that's fake?" she muttered. "It's massive. I could feel it breathing."
Barbara and Lisa were just as awestruck. Neither said anything at first—just kept looking at the dragon. The sound of its roar still echoed faintly in the air.
The Lady, still watching from the doorway, finally spoke. "If these projections had combat power, Her Majesty could conquer half of Teyvat. Stormterror wouldn't stand a chance."
Harlan was already looking past the current moment. "These monsters are great," he said, "but wait until you can duel each other with them. Strategy, card combos—it gets fun fast."
Barbara's eyes lit up. "You can battle with them?"
"Yeah," Harlan confirmed. "The disk reads the cards. Once more people have them, we can set up matches."
"I'm in," Barbara said immediately. "That looked incredible."
Amber shook off the nerves building in her stomach. "Same here. Eula, let's duel once I figure out how this wand thing works."
Eula smiled slightly. "Sure."
Amber took a deep breath. Her moment was coming. Lisa nudged her gently. "Let's see it, cutie. You've been stressing about this all day."
Amber stepped into the alley, holding the Sealing Key tightly. She already regretted what she was about to say, but there was no way around it. Everyone was watching. She glanced at the others. Eula looked curious. Barbara looked excited. Lisa was smirking.
"Alright," Amber said. "Here goes."
She held the key forward and closed her eyes. "O key shrouded in darkness, unveil thy true power before me!"
The Sealing Key floated up. A glowing magic circle formed under her feet, lighting up the alley.
"By the pact we've forged, I, Amber, command thee—release the seal!"
A pulse of light surged upward, and the key shifted form—its shape stretching into a sleek pink wand. White feathers shimmered at the top. Amber opened her eyes, heart racing.
Now the Fly Card.
She grabbed it with her free hand and tapped it with the wand. "Fly!"
Another glow. The card sparked, and the wand's feathers flared out slightly.
Amber stood still, breathing hard. "It worked," she said quietly. "Thank Archons…"
She turned around. Eula was blinking at her. Barbara was frozen mid-clap. Lisa was holding in a laugh behind her hand. Fischl didn't even notice—still nose-deep in her comic.
The Lady gave a brief look, then walked back inside without saying anything. Amber couldn't tell if that was approval or judgment.
"Boss, how'd I do?" Amber asked, turning to Harlan. Her voice was calm, but her face was flushed.
Harlan gave a nod. "Nailed it. That's how it's done."
Amber cracked a smile. "Even with the whole dramatic speech?"
"Especially with the dramatic speech," he said. "Don't worry—people will be more impressed than anything."
Amber turned to Lisa. "Well? Honest opinion?"
Lisa crossed her arms and nodded. "Pretty good. You captured the spirit of the comic, even if it was a bit loud."
"Thanks…" Amber looked down at the wand, still a little embarrassed. "Maybe I'll try flying after dark, though. Don't want half of Mondstadt watching me shout again."
Barbara giggled. "I liked it. I think the feathers were cute."
Eula gave a firm nod. "You were braver than I would've been. I'm glad my reward didn't require chanting."
Amber laughed quietly. "I'd trade you in a heartbeat."
Just then, Fischl looked up from her comic. "What did I miss?"
Amber turned to her, deadpan. "Nothing. Just my public humiliation."
Fischl blinked. "Was it glorious?"
"You'd have loved it," Lisa said, chuckling. "Tragic you missed it."
