Chapter 1 - Clan System

At the hill of the Azure Mountain thousands of young people were waiting patiently. "9th grade talent… disqualified" the voice rang like a bell in everyone's ears as another person had to leave.

This was the second test of being accepted into the Azure Mountain Sect, where one's talent is being awakened.

Some have 8 rank talents some 9 rank ones and some don't even have one, what would mean that they're not even able to step into the sprint see realm for the rest of their lives.

For most this would mean having to live as a mortal unless they come across some opportunities what seemed even less likely.

"Next" the voice broke through the quietness and another young boy not older then 16 went up "6th grade talen…." just as the disciple was about to say it he's jaw dropped from the realization.

Less then a second later two people were standing in front of the child arguing with each other "I sow him first so he should be my disciple"

"What can an old man like you even teach him choosing me should be a better option." said the other elder with a smirk on his face.

The disciple that was in charge of the test soon bowed to the two elders "what could bring two esteemed elders here" the disciple in charge asked politely.

The elders just ignored him like he was not even there "young man how about you chose me as your master, I promise to make you reach the terra realm and maybe even the Aetheris realm"

Tha sparks in the young man's eyes could be seen as the elder talked to the boy "disciple prays master" his words genuine as he knelt on one knee.

"Damm old fox, snatched him right under my nose" the smirk on the other elder wanished. Soon both elders flew away this time Elder Bao carried his newly appointed discipline with him, as a smile could be seen while looking at the other elder.

Everything happened so fast that all the people there could barely believe what just happened "that guy's so lucky having awakened a 6th grade talent"

"Yeah dude that should rank him already pretty high in the whole Yuyeng Province maybe even in the whole Ashura Empire" people were talking like there's no tomorrow about what just happened.

The whole talking was then broken by the disciple in charge of the test "next come up" and so people continue to awaken their talents, some luckier had 8th grade talents while the rest only 9th and most had no talent.

As the requirements to pass the second test was having at least an 8th grade talent most of the people were disqualified.

Yu Dao was quietly still thinking about the young man just now, not long after his time came he walked up the stairs and just as he was putting his hand on the stone he felt something.

"9th grade talent disqualified" just as he walked down the stairs his eyes not sad or disappointed but shining with a deep excitement that couldn't be covered.

The feeling he felt wasn't his talent but something so powerful and important that would make even the deities and gods of the higher planes feel like he's cheating.

[welcome host I'm the Ancestor System, I'm here to help you reach the upmost level of cultivation]

Yu could hardly contain himself from smiling like a madman. "Finally I have my golden finger, I finally can take care of my sister.

[Ancestor System (Dao Family)]

Name: Yu Dao

Cultivation: 7th stage bastion realm (1 realm)

Cultivation talent: 9th grade (56%)

Family Members: 2

Family Cultivators: 2

Years Points: 0

Yu was stunned at the panel in front of him. "So that's how it works, I'm now the ancestor of our family and the more offsprings the family has the further and faster I gain cultivation."

Just as he was getting the hang on how it works he was cut short by the system.

[a novice pack has been given to the host]

Yu said directly "open" and he could barely believe his eyes on what he just sow.

[host has received 50 years of all job proficiencies, host has received 20 years points, host has received a talent upgrade pill (will upgrade your talent by one grade)]

[host is being advised to take the pill as it will lose its effect after 10 minutes]

As soon as the last line clang in Yu's mind he instinctively wanted to take the pill, just as he was thinking about the pill it appeared in his hand and without a second thought he swallowed it.

A few seconds passed but nothing happened just as he was about to check he feelt a burning pain deep within his very soul as if he's souls was being burned.

The second it stopped he found himself unconscious on the floor. Turned out he passed out for a second before he woke up. "I swear it felt like days" he mumbled to himself.

[Cultivation Talent: 8th grade (56%)]

The way down from the mountain he could only wait in excitement as he didn't dare to take in the other rewards right now as no one could know what would happen if others knew about his system.

"So finally after a hellish 18 years of struggle pain and poverty I finally made it, just you wait Yao I will make sure you will never be looked down upon."

In a rundown barrack near the slumps, a young lady with diminished eyes was whispering to herself " I hope brother can make it. I'm sure he can make it. I just hope to stop being a nuisance to you.

I smile soft and tender with a hint of disappointment as she was thinking of how hard it is for her brother to take care of her and.

"If only I wouldn't be such a burden, if only I could take care of brother." tears streaming down her pretty cheeks. "I really hope brother gets accepted and forgets about me, so I will stop being a burden.

Now her face was covered with tears as she couldn't stop them from pouring.

Outside the house Yu heard everything as he arrived just a bit before his little sister started crying and talking to herself, probably because of her emotions and her disease she couldn't see Yu so she didn't realize her brother was listening to her the whole time.

Just as she was pouring her heart out she still felt fear of being abandoned and in that moment Yu came holding her hand.

"Why are you being silly Yao, since when have you been a burden and why would I forget you." Her tears stopped and a red hue appeared on her pretty face.

"You don't have to worry from now on my pretty little sister, your brother will make sure you can walk again"

Yao could only smile at the words his brother would always say, encouraging her. What she didn't know is that the time she would walk again wasn't far.

After calming down and wiping her tears from her eyes she finally sensed something different from her Yu. "Could it be that brother awakened"

Her excitement could be seen on her face, but then again she couldn't understand why he would come back so soon.

As once one is accepted in a sect it would normally take months before they are allowed to leave the sect to go out.

Yu hearing his sister's words started smiling "Maybe, maybe not, who knows who knows"

"Yu you meanie" Yao looked frustrated "just tell me brother" her face making a cute pose.

"Ok ok, I did but only 9th grade so I wasn't accepted" tho he seemed to tell the truth Yao couldn't comprehend why her brother would still smile so hard.

"There has to be something else you little lier, I know you best brother" he new lying to his sister wasn't gonna be successful but he couldn't tell her the whole truth either, not yet.

"Let's just say I may be able to get really really strong" just as he was about to say more.

"Don't worry brother I trust you, just please be careful I don't want to lose you" fear could be seen on her face not the one for ones live but the one of fearing someone precious.

Yu understood his sister as he himself would never want to leave Yao alone especially since they were all alone.

Both have been orphans since they can remember Yu as the older one was already 5 years old when he found little Yao abandoned under a bridge near the slums.

Her cries made Yu approach the little basket where Yao was. From then on Yao grew up by Yu's side as his little sister and whatever difficulties they were in they've gone trough them together.

In her heart Yao sow Yu as her most precious existence more then even her own live.

"Don't worry Yao you remember the promise I made you, I will never leave you even in death I will always be by your side so don't worry you little brat"

"Mhhmm" she mumbled while wiping her tears.

"Yao rest for the night I have something to do I will be right back don't need to worry" just as he said it his silhouette disappearing.

"Be save brother" said Yao quite while praying for her brother.

A bit far from they're home in a remote area in the wild sat Yu in a lotus position on a rock.

"Let's see what should I learn first the cultivation jobs or cultivation" not being able to decide he just started getting both at the same time.

Around him the wind started to blow and if any cultivator would be here they'd sense how the fast majority of the energy was being sucked by Yu.

"No one told me it will heart so damm much, my fucking brain is about to explode and my body why is my inside on fire" he screamed at the top of his lungs.

His meridians were being renewished energy going trough them every second breaking all the blockages aswell as forcely building a core inside him just under his heart.

At the same time all his organs bones and every muscle were being broken rebuilt broken rebuilt and so on till after around 10 minutes when it finally stopped.

Yu was still on the rock but not in a lotus form but stretched like a see star the rock under him drenched in blood and skin.

"My head still hurts so damm hard, but at least the pain from my body is gone I really tough I'm a die, this damm system could've at least told me it will hurt"

Just as he was about to curse his heart out at the system.

[congratulation host for reaching stone realm]

[congratulation host for reaching hearth realm]

[congratulation host for entering the true cultivators realms open see realm]

Looking at the messages his heart almost stopped. Being able to reach the open see realm that means not being in the mortals realm anymore.

Even if your the lowest of the lowest cultivator your still a true cultivator. "Did I really reach the open see realm" he's voice a bit trembling as he couldn't comprehend what just happened.

Normally 9th grades talents would take 50 to 75 years to reach the first stage of the open see realm even the 8th grade ones would take around 30 to 45 years to reach that level.

Even if Yu's talent was on the better side of the 8th grade ones it still didn't make sense.

"Wasn't I supposed to take like 30 years to reach that didn't I only have 20 years of cultivation" just as he was wandering.

[the host was able to process more due to the job proficiency's as one normally needs to be a cultivator to learn any cultivation job]

Then it clicked that's why his head hurt so much he wasn't even a real cultivator but was able to take in that information so he was able to process so quick in his cultivation.

Just then his head started to hurt less and less till it vanished. "I should be somewhere around a peek 8th rank pill master, weapon master, talisman master and array master"

He was even more shocked by these news then the cultivation as he could not really believe it. Being a 8th grade master would mean being able to craft anything related to the peek of the spirt real cultivaton.

Just the imagination let him flabbergasted staring like a dumb kid into the sky.

"Ohhhh system where have you been my whole life" if one wouldn't know they'd think he's an alcoholic. All this while trying to kiss the system panel.
