Yuzuki ran into town, a medium-sized town with medium-sized brick buildings. The walkways were paved, and the waterways flowed alongside the sidewalks.
The Demon King's daughter, Yuzuki was born into the great Demonic Empire. She was a failure in the eyes of the Demonic Empire not because of her level, but the slave crest of a succubus.
She dreamed of becoming a high-level adventurer before dying to a blood dire wolf, a level 35 creature, she was brutally killed. It was a traumatic experience that stayed with her every day.
"I need to get money quick I'm starving." Her stomach growled.
Yuzuki was no more than a beggar in search of food. Not only did she not have money, she didn't have a job. Of course, that's to be expected of a newly revived Yuzuki.
Running around town, Yuzuki got lost. The town was like a maze it was getting dark and she had nowhere to stay. Many men tried to talk to her but she ignored them and kept searching.
"Where is it..." Yuzuki groaned annoyed that she hadn't found the adventurers guild yet.
She decided running through this maze would lead nowhere and jumped up onto the roof of the town to have a better time searching. It ended up being right beside her, what a silly girl she was.
"...Really." She slowly walked towards the adventurer's guild disappointed in herself.
Letting out a huge sigh she jumped down from the roofs of the brick houses and onto the pavement walking to the adventurers guild. She stepped inside and sloppily walked toward the reception desk.
"How may we help you?" The red-haired receptionist asked the young Yuzuki.
"If I may, sign up as an adventurer." Yuzuki smiled slamming the desk with her right palm.
"Ehehe, give me a moment." She smiled nervously walking into the back.
Yuzuki was excited, excited to become an adventurer and rise the ranks.
The Guild rankings range from J to S. Among the guild rankings, 3 S rank adventurers exist today although many stronger foes at S grade exist outside of the guild, including the Demon King.
Even legends that are Graded as a continental threat exist, like the World Turtle or the Gourment Demon, 2 of the many Continental Threats that exist and wreak havoc when they awaken.
There are weaker legends and even stronger legends than these 2 that exist throughout the world on different continents. Legends can't be killed, once they die they will revive within some time. The more the continents advance in technology the easier it is to defeat the legends, but on most occasions, a stronger legend is born to match the technology. Some legends are passive till attacked, like the burning phoenix and the frozen phoenix, some of the legends even fight each other causing mass destruction in the process.
Dungeons also exist, many dungeons of different types, sizes, and difficulty exist, the most famous one having 256 floors mapped without having reached the bottom. Monsters exist everywhere and they can level up as well just like the intelligent ones.
"Please sign this paper." The receptionist came back.

"Done!" She looked at the pretty red-haired receptionist with starry eyes.
"Ground pound!? We'll get your guild card right away miss!" She hurried away.
Yuzuki tilted her head "Ground pound?" She wondered if it was a rare skill.
A few minutes passed before the receptionist came back with Yuzuki's guild card.
"Here you are miss Yuriha!" She was panting, out of breath handing the card to Yuzuki.
Yuzuki smiled "Yay, thank you!" She took the card and went to find a seat. She sat at an empty table and took a look at her guild card.
"Cool, J rank!" She smiled excited just to be a part of the adventurers guild.
She was one step closer to her dream, but if she died she'd have to restart from scratch. Yuriha, the Royal Demonic family's surname, the receptionist wasn't surprised by the Ground Pound skill but by her last name, Yuriha.
50 years passed since the fall of the Yuriha name. The end of an era, even so, the name of Yuriha still held the weight and respect of Demon Royalty.
The new Demon King, SSS-level threat, Saeha Yuri had succeeded the Demonic Empire through unrestrained might. The 21-year-old Demon Queen was the strongest being on the continent that wasn't classed as a Legend.
No one sane would attempt to invade the Demonic Empire unless they came seeking death. The former Demon king had died in an invasion leaving Saeha alone. She went from a C grade threat to an SSS grade in 3 years. It has been 3 years since the invasion of Demon territory and no one dared to invade since she took charge.
"Welp, time to make some money..." Yuzuki forgot that she needed to sleep.
Yuzuki walked out of the adventurers guild in search of somewhere safe to sleep. 1 hour passed before she decided to rest atop the clock tower, she lay down and closed her eyes slowly drifting into a slumber.
"Yuzuki, my cute avatar, let's become an SSS Grade threat like your sister Saeha, maybe become even stronger, believe and we can do it!" The male voice echoed.
