-10HP! (85/100)
Fuck, fuck, fuck, shit. I just got isekai'd, and I'm already gonna die to some fucking starter mob?! Come on, where's the bullshit cheat skill that activates out of nowhere to save me?!

Oh, there it is.
Suddenly, a burning sensation formed in my chest. I nearly started choking as saliva flooded into my mouth, salivating suddenly as the wolf in front of me looked… tasty.
As if a giant sentient steak was right in front of me.
My body relaxed as I went onto auto-pilot, following the quest's instructions as I let my instincts control my next actions.
I snapped my head forward, releasing the force in my hands that was keeping the wolf away. As the wolf's teeth snapped at me, I leaned down and ducked my head under him.
My mouth opened, and my teeth bit down on the fur around its neck. I could see how the knife broke earlier - his fur was hard as if he was coated in a layer of metal.
Despite the knife breaking in half earlier, my teeth surprisingly tore through the fur easily. The fur tore away, leading to flesh as I bit into the wolf's neck.
It tasted… strangely good. The mix of blood, metallic fur, and raw wolf meat didn't sound appealing, but I felt like I was biting into a tasty burger as I tore away at his neck.
The wolf didn't just idly let me do it, his claws slamming down into my chest as he let out a pained growl. He tore through my thin T-shirt, drawing blood as he slashed across my chest.
-10HP! (75/100)
However, I barely even felt it. My body felt numb as my mind was filled with hunger.
After the first bite, I felt as if I'd been starved for weeks, and a four-course meal was right in front of me.
I wrapped my arms around the wolf, pulling it into my body as I continued to tear away at his flesh. The wolf let out another pained growl, trying to push away from me as his claws cut into my body again.
-5HP! (70/100)
However, its growls slowly became softer, turning into whimpers and then silence as my teeth continued tearing into its flesh.
Blood splattered across my face, burning into my cheeks as I continued to satiate my hunger.
Bite after bite, the wolf's body started to slump. Then, it slumped over entirely, life leaving it's eyes.
A second later, I blinked and pulled my face back as the wolf's body started to glow. A blue light surrounded it, and then the body disappeared entirely.

[Harden] - Harden any part of your body, making it as tough as a rock!
Fuck yeah. I did it.
My breaths slowly became shallower as I stared at the stats, my heartrate going down as I relaxed. Despite having just gone to town on an entire wolf, I still felt strangely hungry.
I pushed my hunger aside, there were more important things on my mind.
I had just gotten a new skill - Devour. Evidently, it seems that once I eat something, I get part of their stats.
The Dire Wolf was huge and strong as hell, but it was still just level 2, so I didn't get that many.
I need to figure out how to view my own stats. I raised my arm, wiping off some of the blood on my face onto my sleeve as I started trying every code word I could think of.
"Stat page!" Nothing.
"Inventory!" Still nothing.
"Skills?" Not a thing.
"HP?" No screens popped up.
I continued saying words softly into the forest, careful to keep my voice down so as to not attract anymore wolves.
After another 10 tries, I finally gave up. Any good game would make its system intuitive, right? I'm sure it'll just pop up eventually like the quest did.
Now, I need to figure out where I am. The weird sky and random Dire Wolf didn't do much to narrow down what world I was in, but at least I knew it was a fantasy-ish one.
Any normal world wouldn't have a big-ass Dire Wolf like that, right?
Well, the first course of action should be getting out of this forest. I'll climb a tree to get a vantage point, and see if I see any sign of civilization nearby.
I glanced around the dark forest, finding the tallest tree I could, which was very tall. As in, probably 20-30 feet tall.
I don't know if I can climb that high.
Luckily for me, it seems like my body got a supernatural buff when I was isekai'd. In hindsight, I should've realized that when I was able to hold back the Dire Wolf.
It wasn't easy by any means, but in my past life I probably would've had my head bit off by the giant beast.
I climbed the tree pretty easily, my hands instinctively grabbing branches and holds in the tree. Once I was near the top, I looked around.
I couldn't make out much in the darkness, but I could still get a good idea of what was around me.
There was no civilization or sign of humans anywhere. The trees around me led to more trees, showcasing to me that the forest was giant.
Looks like I'll be here for a while.
However, that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. I didn't know anything about this world, so I didn't know if any humans I met would be friendly or not.
Using Devour to get stronger in the forest was a good place to start.
