[Scene: 10:44 PM – Storm Over Paradise Apartments]
The rain hammers down on the broken rooftop of Paradise Apartments. The building is being cleared. Cops. Media. Everyone's leaving.
But Riya stays behind. The last survivor. She knows it isn't over.
Inside Flat No. 404… the phone rings one last time.
RRRRING. RRRRING.Riya (to herself): "Not again. Please… not again."
[Flashback: The Origin]
We return to 1986 — the year the apartment was first cursed.
The former tenant, Inspector Darshan Rao, was murdered in Flat 404 by corrupt officials. His spirit vowed vengeance.
Every ten years, the curse activates. Phone rings. Doors lock. Chaos begins.
Darshan's Spirit (voice-over): "They buried my body… but not my rage."
[Scene: Flat 404 – Present Night]
Riya walks in. No more running.
She finds the old landline. Blood still smeared from last night. The mirror cracks.
Suddenly, everyone who died in the apartment returns as spirits — Amit, Meera, Inspector Chavan… their eyes glowing, their voices layered with static.
They scream in unison:
"YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE COME BACK!"
But Riya doesn't flinch.
She takes out a matchbox and holds up the only thing that could end the curse — Darshan Rao's missing diary, found inside the broken floorboard last night.
[Climax – Final Ritual]
Riya starts reading from the diary aloud, chanting the forbidden lines:
"Let the blood flow in memory, not in revenge. Let justice rise where vengeance rots…"
The spirits howl, the walls bleed, furniture flies, but she doesn't stop.
The room bursts in flame — blue fire swallowing the cursed souls.
Darshan's face appears in the mirror one last time — peaceful, at last.
Darshan: "Thank you. You gave me an ending."
He fades.
[Ending Scene – Sunrise]
Riya walks out of the building, barefoot, burned but breathing.
Behind her, Flat No. 404 collapses in on itself, floor cracking, windows shattering inward — as if the room was being erased from reality.
A news reporter arrives.
Reporter: "Miss, are you okay? What happened in there?"
Riya just smiles weakly.
"Flat No. 404 won't ring again."
