Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Kaito Senzaki wasn't supposed to exist.

That's what the records said, anyway.

He had no birth certificate. No medical files. No digital footprint. And yet, here he was—seated in the back row of Class 2-B at Nakamura High, staring out the window like he belonged.

To everyone else, Kaito was just the quiet kid. The kind who didn't raise his hand. The kind teachers forgot to call on. The kind that bullies skipped over, not out of kindness—but because they never noticed him in the first place.

But Kaito wasn't normal.

Because Kaito could do the impossible.

He could become anything.

And it all started with a door.

---

It had appeared three years ago, tucked between the back shelves of the old public library, just past the books no one checked out anymore. It wasn't labeled. It wasn't locked. It wasn't even supposed to be there.

And when 13-year-old Kaito opened it, everything changed.

He didn't remember all the details. Just that he stepped into a space that wasn't a room—more like a swirling sea of ink and parchment, of voices from a thousand stories all whispering at once. They offered him something. A gift. Or maybe a curse.

The power to draw from all of fiction.

Magic spells from anime. Powers from video games. Abilities from novels, movies, comics. If it was fiction, he could use it—if he knew how it worked. But there were rules.

Rule 1: He had to know the story. Not just the power—he had to understand the narrative, the meaning behind it.

Rule 2: He couldn't keep a power forever. Every borrowed ability was temporary. And the stronger it was, the shorter he had it.

Rule 3: If anyone else found out what he could do... everything would unravel.

So Kaito kept it secret. Quiet. Hidden.

Until today.

---

It started with a scream.

"K-Kaito! Look out!"

He blinked.

In front of him: Ayane Mori, class president, arms flung wide. Behind her: a chunk of concrete from the crumbling second-floor walkway above, plummeting toward her like judgment.

Time slowed.

Kaito's heart didn't race. It stopped.

He could walk away. Let her die. Go back to his forgettable, invisible life.

But he didn't.

Instead, he whispered:

> "Izuku Midoriya's Full Cowl. Ten percent."

His body surged—lightning danced across his limbs, his muscles thrummed with controlled chaos.

In the blink of an eye, he moved.

CRASH!

Dust exploded around him as he caught the slab midair, the force rattling his bones—but he held it.

Ayane stared at him, stunned. Kaito's eyes glowed faintly green for just a second before the light died.

He smiled faintly. "You okay?"

She didn't answer.

Because behind her, someone had seen it.

A tall boy. Dark uniform. Glinting glasses. The kind of perfect face that never looked surprised—until now.

Ren Arasaka.

Student Council Vice President.

And someone who knew exactly what he had just witnessed.
