Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Gwen: Get out, do you want to watch me change clothes?

Leo didn't know that just by doing a simple task, he had attracted the attention of so many people.

The situation in Hell's Kitchen was also beginning to quietly change.

Daredevil wanted to find him, and the Hand was also looking for him.

What was even more ridiculous was that Kingpin actually wanted to recruit him.

If Leo knew about this, he would definitely laugh until his eight-pack abs trembled.

An ant actually wanted to subdue an elephant - even sitting in a well and looking at the sky wasn't as outrageous as Kingpin.

For this universally acknowledged Marvel newcomer village for transmigrators, Leo had always maintained only one attitude.

Little kids playing house games should just play by themselves.

Don't come and mess with me.

.....

The Stacy house.

Gwen slept drowsily until dawn, then groggily crawled out of bed.

"What's going on?"

Gwen clutched her head in some pain, her eyes wide open. She felt like her head was about to explode, but her spirit was surprisingly good.

Any movement around her was picked up by her ears, and she could even clearly see the thin pair of wings of an insect outside the window.

When she subconsciously tried to get up, Gwen was horrified to discover that the mattress was stuck firmly to her hand and was lifted up with her.

The thing that weighed dozens of pounds felt like it had no weight at all.

When ordinary people first gain power beyond normal humans, their usual first reaction is fear and terror.

Not the kind of fantasy that people usually talk about - that after gaining superpowers, they would fly through the heavens and earth, throwing their weight around.

Anyone who could immediately accept their own mutation would truly be a talent.

But obviously Gwen wasn't one of them; she was just an ordinary beautiful girl.

The sudden change made her lose her composure.

Due to her inability to control her suddenly surged strength, combined with her unstable mental state.

The originally tidy bedroom quickly became a mess - the alarm clock was smashed to pieces with one slap, and deep palm prints were left on the solid wood desk.

When she tried to go out, even the door handle was pulled off.

The commotion Gwen made was quickly noticed by George.

He didn't wake the sleeping Helen, but quietly walked to Gwen's bedroom door, hearing the sounds from inside and asked:

"Gwen, are you okay?"

Inside the room, the girl who was still struggling with the bra stuck to her hand froze and quickly said:

"Dad, did I wake you up? Sorry."

"No, sweetheart." Mr. George quickly denied.

In this privacy-respecting country, even parents couldn't easily enter their daughter's room.

He just stood at the door and continued asking: "I just heard some noise. Do you need dad's help?"

"No, no need. I just accidentally knocked over a water cup. I've already cleaned it up."

The girl quickly refused. She absolutely couldn't let her father see what the room looked like now.

George didn't insist further and just told Gwen to rest more before leaving the door.

Even though his footsteps were very light, Gwen could tell that her father had walked away, and only then did she slowly breathe a sigh of relief.

She suddenly discovered that this strange ability that had suddenly appeared was quite useful.

At once, much of the panic in Gwen's heart dissipated.

.....

Sunday.

Leo rarely got up early, and after a simple wash, he walked to Gwen's house.

He even bought several breakfast items to bring over.

"Why are you here?"

Since it was Sunday, George was rarely resting at home for a day. When Leo arrived, he was sitting at the dining table reading the newspaper.

Last night's fire in Hell's Kitchen occupied the front page headlines, with the official reason given as a gas explosion.

As the chief of the New York Police Department, Mr. George naturally knew the inside story and was frowning at this moment.

Seeing Leo come so early to find Gwen made him even more unhappy.

Damn it, just one day to spend with his daughter, and this brat was going to take that away too?

"I came to see Gwen, Uncle."

Facing George's dark expression, Leo didn't care at all. Poor Mr. George was undoubtedly at the bottom of the food chain in this household.

As long as Helen and Gwen were satisfied with him, it didn't matter if George didn't like him.

Honestly, Leo could understand this old father's feelings.

If he had a daughter in the future and someone wanted to steal her away...

Well, that wouldn't be impossible, but they'd have to beat this Saiyan first.

What? You can't even beat a Saiyan? What qualifications do you have to date my daughter?

....

"Aunt Helen, you probably haven't had breakfast yet. This is from the branch store at the street corner."

"Leo is still the best, not like someone who gets up in the morning acting like a big shot."

Helen smiled as she took the breakfast, looking meaningfully at the 'someone' she mentioned.

George: ???

This could even be blamed on me.

Sure enough, this kid is my nemesis!

After briefly chatting with Helen for a few sentences, Leo didn't forget his main purpose.

He gently knocked on Gwen's bedroom door and soon got a response.

"Come in, Leo."

Leo walked in and quickly scanned around.

It looked no different from the last time he was here, but the palm print on the desk and the alarm clock fragments in the trash can were still discovered by him.

Gwen's eyes showed a trace of panic. "Don't look around randomly. You can't just stare at a girl's room."

"I'm more familiar with your room than you are. What's wrong with looking at it a couple times?"

Leo shrugged. "It looks like you're better, so I'm much more relieved."

Leo could sense that the aura emanating from Gwen was hundreds of times stronger than before, and extremely stable.

Spider-Gwen had been completely born.

He sat in the chair, looking at Gwen, and under her somewhat embarrassed gaze, he looked her up and down and said in surprise:

"How did you suddenly grow taller?"

"Did I? I didn't notice." Gwen was stunned. She hadn't noticed this herself.

Leo wordlessly pointed to Gwen's fair little feet and her exposed ankles.

Even her pajamas didn't fit anymore, and she still hadn't noticed.

"Oh, maybe I've been eating super amounts like you recently. I'm still a kid and still growing."

"You definitely haven't been paying attention to my changes and only noticed today."

"Tell me! Have you been looking at other women?!"

Gwen displayed a woman's advantage and quickly found a suitable reason, even turning the tables on him.

Her beautiful big eyes glared 'fiercely' at Leo, making him laugh and cry.

Actually, Gwen was also struggling internally about whether to tell Leo about the changes happening to her.

It wasn't that she didn't trust him or wasn't close to him.

Gwen was just worried that her changes might scare the boy.

She was even somewhat afraid that Leo might see her as a monster.

This problem had been troubling her all night, and it wasn't until just now that Gwen made up her mind.

She would hide everything for now and wait for the right opportunity to confess to Leo.

Although he couldn't see Gwen's internal struggle, Leo could sense that his childhood friend was currently in a very emotionally unstable stage.

So he deliberately changed the topic and stopped talking about those sensitive issues.

Sure enough, the girl gradually returned to normal, and her face showed a brilliant smile again.

Looking at the bright and sunny weather, Gwen became interested.

"Leo, let's go shopping. I need to buy some new clothes."

Leo nodded indifferently. "Whatever you want, I'm fine with anything."

Looking at the boy sitting in the chair like a master, not moving at all, Gwen pouted and complained:

"Then get out. How am I supposed to change clothes with you here?"
