Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Transported to Another World

To feel like I don't belong in this world is one of the things I have always felt.

Not knowing what paths to take, nor what life to live.

It's a dilemma that I have always felt.

My dilemma is only worsened by the fact that I was not born to be the opportunity-taker.

Yes, I have been given opportunities, while I am grateful for them, it doesn't take away that I don't want to pursue these opportunities.

These words might sound like I'm a spoiled child but these are my words.

Not only that, these are the words that my body is functioning for.

So, even if I want to have a better life, these words will always make the journey harder for me than it should be.

Being born as an introvert is one of the worst things, because in the future, not being able to pursue opportunities nor simply creating one is a hindrance to a better life that I was hoping for.

My dreams were crushed.

Those were the big realizations I had when I was a child.

Simply being able to think further than most was a sign that I grew up quickly.

And because of those realizations, It felt like the things I wanted to do became limited.

Knowing enough, I grew insecure, but everybody has an insecurity so it's not that special.

In order to live through the reality I now live in, I find ways to distract myself such as activities like school work and friend hang-outs.

Although, lately it has not been enough for me.

I suffer from depression, so I have always wanted to find ways that can make me not depressed.

And even now more than ever, because lately, I have just realized that I may be happy but I do not have happiness.

It is true that I am happy. But being happy is only temporary which means my depression is only temporarily inactive.

So, I thought to myself, if I were to find my happiness, would it be able to cure my depression?

I didn't really know what true happiness was for me and I didn't really want to spend my time overthinking what it is so I just gave up on figuring what it is.

Fate will let me know whether I'm going to know what my happiness is or whether it'll let me have it.

But even if I knew what my true happiness was, it doesn't mean I'll get to experience it.

So right now, my temporary happiness is watching movies, tv shows/series, and playing video games.

Ever since I was diagnosed with depression, I would always do my three temporary happiness, so I guess it would be fair to say that I have watched tons of movies, tv shows, and series, and played many video games.

Sleeping at night is one of the hardest things to do. I always have to do it so that I can sleep at night.

I've always wished that when I go to sleep, my body would never wake up or maybe be transported to a world filled with magic.

I've always thought that being in a world filled with magic and endless possibilities would cure my depression because magic always fascinates me and I'm easily bored.

My wishes were finally granted.

I woke up in a dark room with nothing in it or it felt like there was nothing in it, it was like standing in a void.

It was so dark that I thought I would be eaten by the darkness and die.

However, I was only able to see because of the white bits of lights in front of me.

White neon edges and black surface. In my experience as someone who played many video games and watched many anime, it looked like a screen.

A screen that you would normally find in video games.

Not only that it says "Confirming previous data..." I was unsure of what it meant.

After a few seconds the text from the screen changed.

{Previous Data Confirmed...}

{Processing...}

{Acquiring Race...}

Race? Does this mean I'm being reincarnated to another world right now?

I thought it would never happen but I could only be so happy inside.

That's probably because I never had the chance to really express joy so I mastered poker face by default.

{Superior Human race acquired.}

Superior Human...? I have always thought I was below average of what a human would be but I guess I got a superior human race? It doesn't make any sense to me but I'm glad I got it!

Honestly, race changes are pretty normal in the kinds of fantasy games I've played. Becoming a superior being just feels like getting a rare pull in a gacha game. Weird? Sure. But not shocking.

{Acquiring Intrinsic skills... }

{Intrinsic skills [Perfect Body] and [Enhanced Senses] have been acquired.}

Perfect Body?! Does this mean I can finally make myself look however I want it? I can't wait to use this skill.

And by the way, I'm not really new to the skill system. I gathered that skills are basically special abilities given to you. It's like superpowers but it's more game-like.

These intrinsic skills sound powerful but I have no basis for comparison so I wouldn't know how to feel about it even though I have them.

{Acquiring skills...}

{Superior skills [Pain Nullification] and [Empath] have been acquired.}

Pain Nullification... I guess that could be useful. I didn't really want to be in any pain, may it be physical or psychological.

However... Empath? Is this seriously a skill? I have always been an empathetic person because it's the most basic human thing to do. To understand and relate to others is how people should be... But I guess not?

{Special skills [Flight], [Water Manipulation], and [Air Manipulation] have been acquired.}

Flight?! Does this mean I don't have to close my eyes and imagine myself flying in the night sky? If so, I am very happy!

I don't get the water and air manipulation though... I wonder how I got those...

{No common skills acquired.}

Well. I guess even here I'm unlucky in that category but I got some great skills that really makes me happy.

And maybe not just temporary happiness but permanent happiness.

I don't always understand my own reactions. Maybe part of me still wants to feel alive—even if the rest of me forgot how.

I could see myself becoming truly happy with these skills. But I'm probably not going to be able to visibly express emotions such as happiness because I have been used to expressing emotions on the inside. I basically celebrate exciting things with my inner voice.

I had to pinch myself to see if I was dreaming but I was not.

{Acquiring mana capacity...}

{Acquiring magic power...}

Upon seeing the text change two times, I felt tired, and I could feel myself become somewhat divine... I can't really explain it but right now, I have to go to sleep.

I woke up and I was still in the dark room I was in before I slept.

I find myself feeling better than I have ever been.

It seems like I was still not done with all the screens. It probably couldn't continue without me awake, I thought when I woke up I would already be in the other world.

{Acquiring magic...}

{Magics [Elemental Magic], [Holy Magic], and [Healing Magic] have been acquired.}

{Identity Analyzed and Completed.}

{Ready for transfer? [YES/NO]}

Transfer? Oh. This is the part where I go to the other world but I have little to no knowledge about that world.

I mean... at least knowing my skills would be good, It's hard figuring things out.

Figuring things out on my own has not been my strong suit and it still isn't. But knowing how to figure them out in my own terms is an exceptional skill I have.

Even if I don't admit it out loud. Most days, I just assume I'm not good at anything—because that's easier than hoping I am.

Well if there are no other choices I guess I'll have to figure my skills out in my own terms.

{Request granted.}

Huh?

{Acquiring possible skills...}

{Superior skills [Skill Index] and [World's Assist] have been acquired.}

Oooh... A skill index, it's a list of skills that lets you see what skills you possess and what purpose do those skills have.

From the video games I've played, that's the fitting description of a skill index.

If it is that then I guess there is no need for me to figure things out all on my own.

Hooray! Another thing to make my life easier.

World's Assist? I wonder what that is... Is it a skill that assists me? If so then I'm glad I got it but I don't have any idea what its use is at the moment.

All things have been accounted for.

It's time for me to transfer.

Although... How do I transfer? Do I click the yes or do I just say yes out loud?

I'll just do both.

I clicked yes and simultaneously proclaimed the word "yes".

After I spoke the word and clicked the button, I was instantly teleported into place with a cave-like structure.

Normal people would probably panic after getting thrown into a whole new world. But not me. I've been here a thousand times before—just not physically. Years of movies, anime, games... they weren't just distractions. They were rehearsals. Detailed daydreams. Mental simulations. Escapes. So when I opened my eyes in this place, it wasn't fear I felt. It was recognition.

I assumed I would be reincarnated into this world's people but I guess not.

Assessing myself first was the first thing I did after being transferred.

WHAT!? Where's my perfect body?! I thought I would have gotten my perfect body which is skinny but no.

Instead, I kept my appearance from my old world... Along with my age and memories.

How disappointing...

I would have like a fresh start without a reminder of who I was.

I've gotten used to disappointment, so I've learned how to stay standing after it.

Still... I'll take what I can get. Hope doesn't die. It just learns how to survive quieter.

Eh. So what! I'm finally transported into another world so there's no reason for me to complain.

There's no need to be let down. I'm sure there's a skill somewhere that'll let me get my skinny body.

After calming myself down, I decided to check my skills.

Although, I don't know how to check them... Oh I forgot! I have the [Skill Index] skill.

The only problem is how to activate it...

{To activate skill [Skill Index], please say "Activate [Skill Index]"}

Is that so... That's rather basic but thanks... I guess?

Hmm... Is this a feature of [World's Assist]? If I can't do something, will it assist me to be able to do so? If so, that's pretty neat!

Okay...

"Activate [Skill Index]" I said in hopes of activating the Skill Index.

There it was, in front of me like a big screen but it has more length than wide, I guess it makes sense as it lists skills.

It looks the same as the screen as before except with scarlet neon edges? I guess that's cool, scarlet is my favorite color.

[Empath]

[Pain Nullification]

[Skill Index]

[World's Assist]

[Air Manipulation]

[Flight]

[Water Manipulation]

[Perfect Body]

[Enhanced Senses]

As I expected, the common skills category is not shown since I do not have one. This skill system surprises me because I would have thought of it to be different from the games I've played.

Plus I thought fantasy worlds would be more magic-oriented rather than skill-oriented. Or maybe it's both? I don't have the knowledge to create the diagnosis.

I'm bored... I should probably try walking and exploring so I could see what this cave is for. I honestly cannot wait to see what this world has to offer!

The structure of the cave is something, I guess. What do I know? I've never been to a cave before but I have been in caves in games but who knows whether those are accurate.

There isn't any smell or any dangerous air emitted by the air. It feels like a normal regular outside but in a cave setting.

The cave doesn't seem to be dangerous since I haven't yet encountered a single monster.

Although I haven't heard anything in this cave, it's like a cave filled with nothing in it.

I mean, what if I get careless and see a monster? I don't exactly do well in emergency situations, I just hope I don't see or encounter any monsters.

Well, it's not like I'll know what monsters in this would look like when I see one since I don't know anything about this world except it has skills and magic.

I just wonder how different or similar this world would be compared to my old world.

This just makes me more and more excited about what to see in this world.

Hmm? I feel like I forgot something.

After thirty minutes of walking and wandering the soulless cave, I felt like it was appropriate to be carefree.

Oh! That's right! Skills! I forgot to check them out. I only looked at how many skills I had.

This screen thing really is the same as the one in games, I can scroll and click on it.

I wonder if I can click the skills and maybe information will pop out.

There's no reason to just wonder when we can actually put it into action.

Alright, I'll be checking my superior skills first.

Hmmm... Let's click [Pain Nullification].

[Pain Nullification] {When in contact with an injury, any pain that occurs due to the injury will be nullified, allowing no pain to be felt.}

That was really expected to be honest. I mean it literally said Pain Nullification.

I clicked my other skills and here's what I found:

[Empath] {When a connection is established, there is a 50% chance that the acquisition of the person's identity which includes their skills, mana, and race can be copied and replicated as one's own.}

[Skill Index] {Allows one to see the skills one possesses along with its purpose.}

[World's Assist] {When one is faced with unknowing, the world assists one.}

[Air Manipulation] {Allows one to manipulate air to a certain extent.}

[Flight] {Allows one to fly}

[Water Manipulation] {Allows one to manipulate water to a certain extent.}

[Perfect Body {A self-regeneration skill that allows one to heal to an extent where even if one loses an arm or leg, one will be able to generate the lost limb. However, the only exception is the head.}

[Enhanced Senses] {The senses: sight, sound, smell, taste, touch, and other senses have been enhanced to a certain level.}

Hmm... Seems pretty straight-forward for me. There's nothing to struggle learning about because it's really easy to understand.

The only thing I need to check out is my magic. As far as I remember I have three magic: Elemental, Holy, and Healing.

It made sense why it didn't show on the skill index because they are not skills.

I've always been good at visualization so magic was an easy feat for me to do.

It was easy for me to conjure the elements because I was able to envision them.

A small ball of fire which is a fire magic spell called Fireball.

A small ball of water which is a water magic spell called Waterball.

A small ball of air which is an air magic spell called Wind Sphere.

A small chunk of earth which is an earth magic spell called Rock Blast.

Just like that I was able to use elemental magic and have all four basic elements appear right before my hand. It was easy for me because of my past knowledge about magic and because I have a really great imagination and visualization skills.

Healing magic is easy to understand, however, I don't think I'm going to have an opportunity to use it on me as I already have a healing skill.

Hmm... I wonder what's holy magic though... If there is something that holy exists then maybe angels and demons exist?

From video games, holy magic is used to dispel demons or any monsters emitting bad energy, that's why holy magic is the best magic to use against evil forces.

I don't really understand at the moment but it'll be easier to understand once I know more.

After knowing what I can do, I set myself an adventure to get out of this cave so that I can finally live my life in this world.

I've always been able to feel how much time I have spent doing something, truly a convenient skill of mine.

The calendar system might be different in this world but who knows? Maybe it's similar or exactly the same.

Who cares anyways? I certainly don't. I'm not really one in knowing the time or how to manage it. I've always been clueless on what time it is.

Basically I have bad time management or no time management at all.

Walking for hours and hours, I realized I never really thought about food or sleep.

I guess it was one of the effects of my intrinsic skill [Perfect Body].

The need for sleeping, eating and maybe excretion is unnecessary. The only benefit for me here is that I don't need to sleep or poop, it's not like I don't like sleep, I actually love it because it lets me dream about the stuff I want.

Would it be a big deal for me to transition to needing those things and now not needing them? It might be easy for me to transition though, due to trauma, I have undergone extreme mental changes that led me the way I am now.

Although it's been hours since I've been walking, it's strange that I haven't met any monsters.

It's kind of weird that I can be alone for hours and not get bored. Well I have my ways to kill time back in my old world and that is imagining or visualizing. I'm in a world where magic exists, and now that I am actually in a world where magic exists, I don't need to imagine or visualize.

Besides, it's probably talking to myself that allowed me to not get bored because I liked interpersonal talks with myself.

It's not like I want to meet them but it is still unusual to not see any monsters lurking around.

Maybe it's just luck. There's no point in arguing something that is good.

After walking for some time, I felt defeated. I couldn't find my way out of this cave so just like a pro-gamer that I am, I decided to be familiar with all the things I needed to be.

With the help of World's Assist, Of course! It would be nice to not rely on seeing World's Assist, because what if I was talking to someone and World's Assist popped up? That'd be rude because my mind would totally look at the screen instead of the person I'm talking to.

{Fulfilling request...}

{Success.} {Superior skill [World's Assist] has been transformed into [World's Voice]. Instead of screen-like features, the world will assist through voice.}

A voice? That'd definitely be helpful for me.

Hey World's Voice, I want to learn all the things about this world, can you tell me information about the information regarding this world?

{Note. World's Voice is capable of supplying information but is limited due to the nature of the skill.}

I see! That's still good, better have something than nothing. I'll take whatever I can get!

Hmm... What should I ask first? Since I'm curious about my superior human race, can I ask about races?

{Absolutely.}

{Angelic race, angels. They are beings made of pure light, often possessing the ability to heal. Their general appearance are white hair, golden eyes, white skin, and white wings.}

{Demonic race, demons. They are beings made of pure darkness, often possessing the ability to release a miasma dangerous to weaker races. Their general appearance are black hair, red eyes, brown/red/black skin, and black wings.}

{Dragonic race, dragons. They are beings often possessing the ability to produce flames through their breath. There are no general appearances for this race.}

{Dwarven race, dwarves. They are beings often possessing the ability to create items with tremendous efficiency and effectiveness. This race does not possess a general appearance, most dwarves are short and there are rare occurrences of tall dwarves.}

{Undead race. Beings who possess the ability to linger in the living world despite their death status.}

{There are four main types of undead: Zombies, Liches, Vampire, and Wraith.}

{Zombies are walking corpses.}

{Liches are dead beings who once possessed magical capabilities and retain it after death.}

{Vampires are beings known for their blood consumption.}

{Wraiths are dead beings capable of interacting in the living world.}

{Elven race, elves. Beings of tremendous potential in terms of magic. Their general appearances are tall, green/white hair, blue eyes, and sharp pointy ears.}

{Gigantic race, giants. Huge and muscular beings known for their immense display of strength. Their general appearances are extremely tall, buff, brown skin, and black eyes.}

{Spirits. They are known for their protection. Their general appearances vary depending on the elemental nature they belong to.}

{Beastmen. They are beasts who possess physiological human characteristics.} {There exists different types: Lizardmen, Rabbitmen, Catfolk, Dogfolk, etc.}

{Orcs, strong monsters.}

{Ogres, monsters both possessing tremendous strength and magic.}

{Goblins, monsters known for their population.}

{Monster race. Beings who possess little to no intelligence yet possess destructive nature.}

{Humans are known for their adaptive capabilities.}

Wow, this world is almost the same as the games I have played before. Aren't they all monsters?

{All previous races except elves, dwarves, and humans can be considered monsters. Most monsters are animals imbued with amplified destructive nature as well as embedded elemental nature.}

I see. That's not confusing at all. The distinction mostly occurs in intelligence. A monster is only a monster when it possesses a destructive nature it cannot control through logical thinking which low level monsters do not possess.

Of course, monsters who willingly use their destructive force are only right to be classified as monsters.

There's no information about the superior human race... Why is that?

{Superior human race is a topic that belongs to the evolution category.}

Huh. Can you elaborate please?

{There are two evolutions that every race can proceed to. Human to Superior Human to Supreme Human.}

That's cool. Can I ask what the difference is?

{Cannot answer.}

Oh. I guess this is the limitation you were talking about before. Alright!

What about skills? What information can you tell me about them?

{Okay. There are four categories of skills: Common skills, Special skills, Superior skills, and Supreme skills.}

Would you be able to tell me the difference between these four?

{No.}

Well I expected that answer. If I can assume, common skills are the basic skills, special are the rare skills, superior are the legendary and supreme are the mythical. In terms of gaming lingo, of course.

Can I ask about locations of this world?

{Real-time information cannot be provided.}

Ahh... So what can you do? As a skill, what can you do, if you don't mind me asking?

{Superior Skill [World's Voice] has three functions: informant, analyst, and operator.}

{Informant: Relevant and accessible information is given when you are in the state of unknowing.}

{Analyst: An appraisal ability to help know the unknown.}

{Operator: Helps you to process skill acquisition and skill integration when available.}

Those functions are powerful abilities! I won't take you for granted, that's for sure!

Alright! Next topic is about magic! How many types are there?

{There are numerous types of magic but these are the only magic I could give you.} {Elemental Magic}{Holy Magic}{Dark Magic}{Spatial Magic}{Time Magic}{Summon Magic}{Healing Magic}

Oh... I only have three types as of right now. Elemental, Holy, and Healing Magic. Is there a way to acquire the different types of magic?

Wait! I don't understand why you acquire magic... Aren't you supposed to learn it or have an affinity for it to use that type of magic?

{The acquisition of magic validates the affinity you possess for that specific magic.} {If an individual is able to cast basic fire magic, they will be granted fire magic as they possess the affinity for fire.}

{With the help of acquisition of magic, they are able to ascertain which magic they are capable of using or not.}

I see... That lowkey makes sense. Elemental Magic refers to the four basic elements so I have an affinity for all the elements. Same goes for holy magic and healing.

Hmm... I should practice my magic first. I mean only being able to do basic magic isn't that useful if I want to adventure in this world that I have no knowledge about.

I'll start with the elements first.

Create a small fire in front of me. Visualize it expanding until it's big enough. Perfect.

That's interesting. There's a magic circle below the huge fire. In gaming they are required to be visible. Magic circles exist as physical and visual representation and manifestation of performed magic or occurring magic.

Due to my enhanced senses, I could feel that the magic circle is made up of mana. If I could combine it with the spells I'm performing, would it be invisible? I gotta try it out.

Visualize. Let the huge flames go towards the magic circle and let it be consumed. That's it! It worked. It needed some mana control but it successfully worked. Alright, back on to the fire.

Visualize. Turn the fire into different colors. First, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. I successfully turned the fire into different colors based on the order of the rainbow.

{You have successfully acquired a special skill [Fire Manipulation].}

Oh... If I do certain requirements then I can get a skill? Okay! Let's see if I can get the earth manipulation skill.

Okay. Conjure a small rock. Make it big then small. Turn it into a smooth polished sphere. Turn it into sand, then mud.

{You have successfully acquired a special skill [Earth Manipulation].}

Yay! That was quite easy. Well It won't be if you lack mana control and visualization skills but since I possess both mana control and visualization skills, it was easy for me.

{Note. Special skills [Fire Manipulation], [Water Manipulation], [Air Manipulation], and [Earth Manipulation] can be integrated.} {Proceed to integration?} {YES/NO}

Yes please! Also if it's possible could you automatically integrate skills if possible and update me if there's an integrated skill?

{Yes.}

{Success.} {You have acquired Superior Skill [Elemental Manipulation].}

Nice! This skill should allow me to manipulate the directions of the elements as well as change the properties.

I wouldn't have been able to easily get skills if you're not here World's Voice. Now... What's next for me to do... I kinda want to get all types of magic that I can get my hands on if possible.

Okay! Let's try holy magic.

Visualize a small orb of light. Imagine it containing pure, innocent, anti-demonic and regenerative properties. Turn it into a cylindrical shape, then expand. This looks big enough to be called Holy Field. Hehe.

I wonder if I could do the same to acquire Dark Magic? But instead of the previous properties, I make them opposite.

An orb of light, make it black. Imagine it containing dark, anti-angelic, and deteriorative properties. Turn into a cylindrical shape, then expand.

{You have successfully learned [Dark Magic].}

Yes, it worked! Now... There's no magic I can get that easily because spatial magic and time magic are both powerful magic which makes it hard to learn.

Summon magic on the other hand though... I could try to get it but it's not as easy as conjuring up elements so I'll probably hold off on learning it.

There's other types of magic but World's Voice can't tell me so I guess learning magic just came on to an end for now.

For now, I should practice using my skills.

Mastering Elemental Manipulation was easy. Moving any element in any direction seemed easy enough as well as turning them into different states and properties. Turning water to ice or vice versa.

Flight was arguably the easiest. I have been imagining flying into the sky for years so I knew what it feels like to soar up high in the sky.

I didn't realize I only just spent one day doing all that. Not even one day, just a few hours. I guess it's time to explore again because there's nothing for me to play with such as my skills.

I have the [Empath] skill though. I want to know what it is and its functions but I ultimately want to see it working first so I can objectively create assumptions on how I can apply it.

So after deciding not to learn about my empath skill, I walked into the cave. After walking for some time, I saw something like a cave, which is kind of funny because I am in a cave.

It's like a cave in a cave.

Although I felt that the atmosphere of the mini cave was different and I could confirm that it was different even before going into it.

I went into the cave to see what's in there and then there it was.

Finally! The first thought that came into my mind as it is the first interesting thing I have seen ever since I have been transferred into this world.

There's like a big pillar at the center and it's glowing red. At the center of what looks like an altar?

Upon looking at it closely I don't know if pillar is the correct word in describing what it looks like.

The word is... Obelisk? Yes! That's the word.

I went forward to see the obelisk up close.

As I went forward, I heard the words "A human?" I was startled and quickly looked around to see where the deep voice came from.

"The one speaking is in front of you" The person in the obelisk spoke.

Now that I calmed myself after being startled I started to see clearly that there is someone inside the pillar.

Buff, tall, black armor, and two horns. Words that describe the person who is inside the pillar.

It appears that he is sealed inside the pillar, though, I wonder why.

He looks like a demon to me, and that's probably why, although his position tells me something much more.

Calm, straight posture, and closed eyes. These are not the position of someone who was evil and therefore was sealed.

The only conclusion I could reach was that he was sealed by someone. There must be a very good reason why.

"Are you a demon?" The words echoed as I asked him.

"Maybe," he replied.

I only wanted to confirm if he was a demon but I only got more confused by his response.

"I don't understand, what do you mean?" I said with the intention of confirming what he is.

"I'm not just a demon, but a superior demon," he said.

Huh? What's a superior demon? Come to think of it, I also have the superior human race.

{Cannot answer.}

I see... I guess I won't know today.

"Hey, kid. You're not just a human are you?" he said with interest.

Though, I want to lie, he's a demon, and a superior one, so lying to him would be a bad decision.

"Yes, I am a superior human" I replied.

"That explains why you are not affected by my miasma," he said as he laughed.

Miasma? I don't see it.

{To see the miasma, one must deactivate the enhanced sense of sight.}

Really? I kind of don't get it though, shouldn't I be able to see it because I have an enhanced sense of sight?

{Enhanced Senses negates all that negatively affects the senses.}

Ah... so that's why. [Enhanced Senses] keeps the mental effects out. [Perfect Body] must be handling the rest. Two layers of protection. Makes sense now.

Is that so... So I can't see the miasma because it can negatively affect me.

Well... Then I should probably not deactivate my enhanced sense of sight because it might negatively affect me.

{Intrinsic skill [Perfect Body] has been active from beginning and has been protecting one against negative effects like the miasma.}

Now I really don't understand... How would it protect me when I don't even see the miasma?

{The miasma can negatively affect the physical attributes of one even if one does not see it.}

Ahhh. I get it. If I didn't have the skill Perfect Body then if I disable the enhanced sense of sight and became able to see the miasma then it can affect me, but since I have both skills, I would not be affected negatively by sight or by feel.

"Why are you sealed in there? Is it because you're evil?" I asked.

"I don't know, kid. Besides, it's not like you'll believe a demon like me if I said I'm not evil.," he replied, annoyed.

He's not wrong. But I have always been fed the information that demons are evil so I can't really blame myself for asking that.

"The humans decided that demons were evil in nature because we possess tremendous destructive power and unconventional appearances for sight."

"Ask my council if you're wondering why I'm sealed. They're the ones who sealed me here anyways." he said looking down.

Wow...

"I see. I'm sorry." I replied in a concerned tone.

"They were too weak to kill me because I am a superior demon. So they only sealed me using their combined skill." he said.

"I didn't want to free myself from this seal because I don't know what I'll do if I meet the people who betrayed me." he said.

"Sometimes I feel like I've been betrayed by the world. Sounds annoyingly cheesy because I think of them as my world." he laughed as he said.

Betrayed by the world... I get that. I too have been betrayed by the world.

{A soul connection has been established.}
