Chapter 35 - Chapter 35 – Female Fan (Part 2)

"I didn't really get it until Chapter 2. That's when it started to click. The author isn't writing in chronological order—at first, everything seems scattered, disconnected. But there's this strange sense that things are tied together beneath the surface. I'm really looking forward to how it all unfolds.

By the way... Ryougi Shiki is so cool."

"Totally agree with the comment above. Ryougi Shiki is one seriously badass heroine.

And from the cryptic lines the author's dropped here and there, it feels like the worldbuilding is going to be huge.

I just hope this isn't something they're writing on a whim. I really want them to stick with it.

Also, is this the author's personal website? I checked out their other novel—Koizora—and honestly, it's hard to believe it was written by the same person."

There were more comments after that. Most of them echoed similar feelings.

Even though the number of views and replies wasn't exactly impressive yet, Jinguu Akira still felt a wave of satisfaction wash over him.

It had begun.

His work—the stories, the world he'd envisioned—were starting to ferment. Slowly, quietly. But once enough momentum built up, he had no doubt that it would erupt. And when it did, it would leave an impact impossible to ignore.

He took the time to reply to every comment. One by one.

He knew he wouldn't always be able to do that. If his followers grew, he'd eventually have to be selective. It wasn't something he wanted, but it was inevitable.

In the end, he was only one person.

Kara no Kyōkai would truly shine only after his TYPE-MOON cosmology had deeply embedded itself into the hearts of his readers. That time wasn't now.

That was for the future.

But Koizora—a novel with little connection to ACG or otaku culture—that was a story that could be published quickly.

He switched tabs.

Compared to Kara no Kyōkai, Koizora had a lot more comments.

Kara no Kyōkai was… challenging. Its structure, its tone—neither like traditional novels nor light novels. More than anything, it felt like a personal philosophical monologue. A voice talking to itself in the void.

Koizora, on the other hand, was pure romance. It asked nothing of the reader except their emotions. It flowed easily, gently.

Akira skimmed the comments.

Almost all of them were from girls.

"Well... yeah," he murmured, "This kind of story usually attracts more female readers…"

He kept reading.

*"If I hadn't met you that day…

I probably wouldn't feel this pain now—this sadness, this grief, this unbearable emptiness.

But if I hadn't met you…

I also wouldn't have known such tenderness, such love, such warmth, such happiness.

Tears in my eyes, I still look up at the sky today…

I just keep looking at the sky."*

*"That was the first line I read.

I'm a 25-year-old woman, already working, already grown… but when I read that line, something hit me out of nowhere.

This overwhelming sadness—it reminded me of my first love back in high school.

I know it's not fair to my boyfriend now, but…

Sometimes, I wonder how that boy is doing.

Is he happy?

Does he have regrets?

I don't even know how to describe this feeling.

The novel starts off so soft, so warm—but I can't shake the sense that it's all leading to a tragedy I won't be able to bear.

Is the author a guy? A girl? I don't know.

But either way… this book touched something deep inside me.

It doesn't have a lot of chapters yet, but I'll keep reading.

Please keep writing, Kamishu-sama.

Write it all the way to the end."*

*"It almost feels like a real story… like something that really happened. The writing is full of joy and sorrow at the same time. I want to look away, but I can't. I keep reading.

Somehow, I can't help but feel that the author is actually the heroine in the story…"*

"I think Kamishu-sama is definitely a super cute boy~~

For sure~~ Definitely~~ Adorable~~"

…Okay, that one feels a little dangerous.

He kept scrolling.

*"I'm just a middle school girl so I don't really know much, but I thought the writing was amazing! The prologue made me wanna cry… I'm gonna tell my bestie to read it too! She's a total crybaby~ o(RQ)ツ"

"Already a fan of Kamishu-sama~~ I really love this gentle, delicate vibe…"

Jinguu Akira couldn't stop smiling as he read the responses.

So many female fans…

Female fans had their own kind of magic.

They were the most likely to love everything about you—if they liked you, they'd support everything you made. Even if it was a hot-blooded shounen manga, even if it was targeted at guys, they'd still rally behind it. That kind of loyalty was powerful.

He typed a message and pinned it at the top of the comments:

**"Thanks so much for all your support!

Here's my Twitter—please give me a follow if you're interested~~

Also, my manga is currently being serialized in Weekly Shounen JUMP! Please check it out!

And don't worry—I'll keep writing novels too!

As for whether I'm a guy or a girl…

Hehe. Why don't you try and guess~"**

He included a link to his Twitter and his manga. It was perfect.

His expression was one of smug satisfaction.

Then, somewhere in the back of his mind—

A thought emerged. Shameless. Unfiltered.

If I end up with enough fangirls… could I sleep with some of them…?

He grinned.

Absolutely shameless.
