Chapter 33 - Sneak

The impression that Princess Alice had of Kaido was not bad, and the shame and anger of being forcibly kissed had disappeared long ago, leaving only fear and concern for the King.

Due to Kaido, her ambiguous relationship with Prince Black Alec also came to an end.

According to intelligence, Alec was searching for the ruins of a God of Disobedience, apparently preparing to kill God.

With the small thoughts of a maiden, Alice supposed that Alec might have been filled with jealousy because Kaido took her by force and did not explicitly resist, and now he was accumulating power to avenge himself.

After all, in the past European continent, the Black Prince and the White Princess had always been considered by foreigners as "the most suitable couple".

After dispelling these distracting thoughts, Princess Alice also began to worry about Kaido's safety.

If Kaido finally failed, her status would plummet; not only would she lose her protector, but she would also be captured by Marquis Voban for her magical talent and used as a sacrifice to invoke a god.

Although she was the White Princess who shone throughout Europe, to Marquis Voban, she was simply a disposable person.

However, Princess Alice was not the kind of resentful woman who would blame everyone else; after recomposing herself, she supported her noble and elegant face with her beautiful hand and quickly began to contemplate her next move.

Judging by the wisdom and strategy that Kaido usually showed, he was not like the idiot battle enthusiast, Doni.

If one were to face a God Slayer or a Heretic God, the best approach would be to seek relevant authority information from the Council of Sages; isn't there an ancient Oriental saying that says: "Know yourself and your enemy, and you will never be defeated"?

According to her understanding, every time Kaido was inactive, he was absorbed in a detailed and dry mythological treatise.

However, Kaido had never asked her about other God Slayers.

These two modes of action were so different that they aroused Princess Alice's suspicions.

Her beautiful eyes narrowed, and the girl, tilting her head slightly, began to suspect Kaido.

After all, even now, no one had found any clues about Kaido's background.

This was simply too suspicious for a human being living on Earth.

In comparison to Princess Alice, who was far away in England, the inhabitants and mages of the city of the Adriatic Sea were suffering greatly.

Although Kaido chose the battlefield in the ocean and made the Italian mages prepare for tsunamis, he still underestimated the impact of a God Slayer's battle.

Only the explosive wave of authority that emerged from the body of the most powerful Magic King in the world was enough to inspire awe and terror.

When the coastal city inhabitants saw a tsunami of tens of meters high approaching them from afar, their hearts were filled with even greater fear.

The winds seemed endless, and the apocalyptic scene on the horizon brought deafening roars and beastly screams.

"What... what the devil is happening?"

"We're going to die... we're all going to die..."

People with fragile minds knelt on the ground and collapsed completely.

A sinister and dark authority gathered in the sky; under the storm, the ocean churned with swirling yellow sand, unrelated to the authority; this yellow sand would automatically appear when Kaido used the authority of Typhon.

The roar of a wolf resonated in the sky.

The Nine-Headed Hydra floated in the fierce wind and rain, swinging its sharp, massive, and thick tail, and its corrosive breath thrown from its mouth made the sea water boil; the sea monster Scylla, with a human body, human face, and six dog-like, snake-like, and fish-like heads, writhed in the ocean; the insomnia demon dragon, Colchis, let out a dragon's roar, dispersing the violent airflow.

Typhon, as the ancestor of all monsters, had many monstrous children of strange shapes, and Kaido, who had slain Typhon and usurped his authority, could summon up to three divine beasts to fight for him.

Under the moonlit clouds, several colossal monsters tore and churned in the air.

Before Kaido, the most ferocious beast of Greek mythology was involved in the most tragic and primitive war with the incarnation of Voban's silver wolf!

Humans who observed the battlefield through clairvoyance were completely shocked.

From ancient times, humanity had an innate reverence for colossal beings.

And the battle of giants that took place in the Adriatic Sea was enough to be recorded in history.

The atmosphere trembled, and the sky shook.

The immense authority from three sides distorted space, like in a strange-style film, while the quiet world spun in a spiral and folded, causing terror.

"What kind of power is this! God Slayers are real monsters!"

"Devil... this is a war between a hero and a devil!"

"Oh, great ancestor of demons! I am your most devoted follower, and I will swear loyalty to you forever."

Not only the mages but also many ordinary people who lived there witnessed the terrifying monsters roaring in the ocean through professional equipment; the roars and howls in their ears proved that what was happening before them was not a Hollywood movie.

Mortals who had never encountered the occult world felt that their worldview was intensely shaken at that moment; some fearless individuals drove speedboats in the distance, holding cameras, broadcasting live, and shouting excitedly, extremely excited; others with fragile minds knelt on the ground, praying to God; and even normally kind-hearted white-collar workers or priests put aside their usual constraints and, seeing the terrifying giant shadows appearing in the sky, frantically changed their faith to the embrace of evil gods.

Only a few managed to remain normal.

Of course, for Kaido, those humans who suddenly worshiped him were simply insignificant existences.

—You young man, don't be so arrogant! This is the second round!

The silver wolf, Voban's incarnation, roared, instantly destroying a large amount of seawater, emerging from under the sea surface with a roar, while the sea monster snake-human swung its tail, binding Voban's body tightly like a rope, dragging him to the bottom of the sea.

"Ahhhhhh!"

The silver wolf let out a furious roar, turned its head, opened its mouth wide, and bit.

Its fangs, capable of easily crushing the strongest metal, tore off a large piece of flesh from the sea monster, and green blood gushed from the wound, dyeing the ocean with its color.

The Hydra also turned its nine horrible heads; seeing Voban emerge from the ocean, it simultaneously spat out highly corrosive breath, which, if hit, not even a God of Disobedience could resist.

Although the silver wolf's body seemed enormous, it was quite agile and possessed the authority of Gale and Tempest, giving Voban considerable freedom in aerial movement.

The Hydra's breath barely grazed the silver wolf's fur, burning it with a burned smell, taking with it a small piece of flesh, before being struck by a lightning bolt spat out by Voban and falling into the sea.

The Colchis dragon descended from the sky; it was the demon dragon of Greek mythology that guarded the Golden Fleece, but also a descendant of Typhon.

Auge!

The dragon's dive pierced the air, the deafening whistling, carrying tens of thousands of tons of frightening force, colliding instantly with Voban's silver wolf incarnation.

The invisible shockwave caused the surrounding atmosphere and rain to disappear directly, and even caused the ocean to sink several kilometers away, creating a vortex of hundreds of meters in diameter.

The Colchis dragon was the largest in size, but it only possessed the strength of a divine beast; although much stronger than the demon wolf summoned by Voban, it was still far inferior to Voban himself.

The giant dragon invoked by Kaido lost most of its body, bloodied and torn, falling helplessly into the sea.

"As expected of the Marquis, to be able to do so much."

Kaido's expression was somewhat solemn; although the monstrous beast had injured him, Voban, with the healing power of the silver wolf that far exceeded that of humans, forcibly controlled his muscles to stop the bleeding, and the wound healed quickly.

You young man! Don't be so arrogant! This is the second round!

Voban's wild laughter turned into a beast's roar, and the tens of meters tall wolf-like man fiercely charged towards Kaido.

"Awoooooo—!"

Voban seemed to have truly become a ferocious beast; from his open mouth, Kaido could clearly see the tongue that dripped and salivated.

Kaido's physical body was not more resistant than that of a divine beast; even with the protection of his armor, he did not want to test whether his body would be bitten by Voban.

The golden human form burst out once again with a dazzling sacred light, and several brilliant light orbs appeared behind him, quickly merging into the True Longinus in spiral.

He did not dare to be careless against Voban, who was clearly playing to win.

Deep and dark seabed.

It was a depth of approximately eight hundred meters below the surface, a depth only accessible to special submarines with current human technology.

If a human submarine were to reach the depths of the southeastern Adriatic Sea, it would be surprised to discover a silver-haired loli with a blue velvet hat, a beige vest, and a pleated skirt, walking slowly on the soft sea sand in this lightless place.

The water pressure, enough to crush steel, did not cause the slightest change in the girl's expression; if one looked closely, one would notice a faint black aura surrounding her, isolating the external seawater.

The Goddess of Night was searching for the aura of the Gorgon stone, completely unaware of the conflict between the human Demon Kings.

The only purpose of Athena was to recover her trinity power.

The abyssal ocean was like an endless dark abyss, but the Goddess's eyes could see clearly even without light.

The ancient creatures born in the Era of the Gods could distinguish a few faint figures; in the depths of the sea, still inaccessible to humans, many organisms of strange shapes lived.

A soft-bodied creature that seemed like an octopus, although it was not an octopus, floated before Athena's eyes.

Perhaps it was because it was too dark there and no one could see anyone else, so everyone grew randomly, resulting in completely inadequate appearances for human aesthetics.

"So ugly."

Athena raised her violet-blue eyes, and her eyelids moved slightly.

Because the aura of the Gorgon stone resonated with her, the Goddess was also tinged with an emotion called joy.

"Gurgle..."

A large amount of bubbles appeared in the depths of the sea behind the Goddess; a streamlined, intensely black, and strangely shaped monster with a mouth like a chrysanthemum emerged from its lurking position.

This deep-sea predator, eerily similar to the chrysanthemum monster, was a special familiar; its characteristics, like those of a manta ray and a great white shark, actively consumed any creature that appeared before it.

Its biological instinct warned it that this bipedal creature was a great tonic, but just as it launched itself at the girl, its swimming body froze abruptly, compressing into a fleshy lump.

As if it had encountered a terrifying natural enemy, it trembled and fled into the distance.

Her short silver hair swayed softly in the seawater, each silvery strand seeming like a silver snake.

Despite possessing a sacred and beautiful face, she somehow emitted a sinister sensation.

Athena soon discovered a silver briefcase half-buried in the sea mud.

"Finally, I found it, ancient serpent."

The silver-haired little goddess accelerated her pace, using her authority to disperse the deep-sea creatures clinging to her.

"So, I can become the Athena of the past, the disobedient Athena, and the Trinity Queen will awaken and descend upon the world once again!"

Her small hand reached out, and the briefcase, sealed with dozens of spells, opened easily, and the obsidian emblem inside immediately came into her hand.

"This is the ancient serpent; I've finally recovered my past."

Athena smiled slightly, and the seawater and surrounding land seemed to feel the Goddess's joy, trembling slightly.

But soon, the smile on the Goddess's face disappeared completely, her expression terribly gloomy.

"Crack..."

Accompanied by a crunching sound, the obsidian emblem, carved with the head of a Gorgon, was crushed by the girl's fingers, and the unstable authority spreading from within caused a vortex in the depths of the sea.

"This is not my serpent."

Athena looked up at the sky.

Was it you who did this? Eastern God Slayer!

The beautiful eyes of the silver-haired Goddess showed anger, and her youthful face also revealed a touch of ferocity.

As the Goddess who governed wisdom, she had actually been deceived by a surface Demon King.

Although the emblem she had just crushed had the aura of the Gorgon, it was not the "serpent" she had once possessed.

That black-haired man, if Athena was not mistaken, had usurped the divine authority of Typhon of the Titan gods, and Typhon was both the Demon King who resisted the heavens and defeated Zeus, the King of the Gods, and the father of many monsters.

The three Gorgon sisters were the daughters born of the union of Typhon and the female snake Echidna.

So, the situation became clear.

That man had infused the aura of his 'erpent' into a forgery, and the true Gorgon stone was hidden by him using a secret technique.

And she herself, precisely because of her eagerness to find the "serpent", had been blinded by this crude trick.

On the other hand, Kaido had faced Voban's silver wolf incarnation once again.

This level of battle no longer required tricks; it was purely a competition of speed and strength.

If one were to compare their ferocity, Kaido would not be Voban's opponent.

However, their hands had exchanged hundreds of blows, and the authority, as if it had no limits, was launched at each other like impacts; due to the similarity of their physiques, despite their resistance and authority being rapidly depleted, their fighting spirit became even stronger, becoming more euphoric with each blow.
