Danzo Shimura, nicknamed the War Hawk, a man who had seen with his own eyes the cruelty of the shinobi world, especially the death of his master, the legendary Tobirama Senju.
Hiruzen had summoned him to the Hokage Tower. He didn't know why, nor could he possibly understand what had happened.
Hiruzen looked up when he saw one of his most important advisors in the village.
"Hiruzen, why did you call me?" The question cut through the silence that had fallen in the office.
"Danzo, I summoned you today for this reason."
Hiruzen turned the basket around to show Danzo the small ball of meat wrapped in a blanket.
"For a baby, Hiruzen, isn't this serious?" Danzo's response was blunt. He never imagined being called in solely to deal with the issue of a baby.
"Danzo, this baby appeared a few meters from the village. We know absolutely nothing about its parents, where it's from, not even its last name, just its first name."
Danzo's gaze became comprehensible. He looked at the baby and then at Hiruzen.
"Do you think it could be some kind of movement from a village?"
"I don't know. This situation seems strange to me."
Konoha was maintaining tension with Kumogakure, and he suspected it could be some kind of movement from them.
Silence returned to the room, both of them with their deductions on this matter.
"I don't think it's some kind of movement from Kumogakure, nor from any village."
As Danzo spoke, he turned to look at the village from the office window.
"My recommendation is that as the years go by, we evaluate its situation to see if it could become an asset to Konoha."
"I agree." I agree, Danzo, but on one condition: I don't want you to drag the Child into the darkness when the time comes."
Danzo walked with a calm countenance that radiated serenity. I opened the door, but before leaving, he looked at Hiruzen.
"Where there is light, there is darkness, Hiruzen, don't forget that."
The sound of the door closing was the last sound that filled the office.
There were high-level shinobi in the village: Orochimaru, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Sakumo, among others.
He had to prepare the next generation, and before his eyes could be the first flame of it.
