translator (long talk, can skip, but you need it):( first mc is very smart, not like fake smart but real smart.

Second, the world is very dark, a little too much dark.

Third, there's a lot of crossover over for you; it's a good thing. For me, it's hell to know which character is from where and who he is. Which American series is that from? Which lore is that like? For example, in the first 150 chapters, there are 7 vampire lore from DC and Marvel and 5 American individual series about vampires. Don't worry about vampires as a big part of the novel; it's like just mini arcs here and there, but it's frustrating for me.

Five, the MC is not overstrong at all; he gets stronger slowly. He doesn't get his head in what is not his business, like most MCs. A lot of arcs in 150 chapters alone—when you start to feel like you are bored, the author gets perfectly to new arcs. Most of those novels failed to handle that, but this novel had success in that part, as it posted nearly 1000 chapters. That novel gets blocked a lot, so it's really dark for Fang Yan lovers.)

**Chapter 1: Werewolf and Oriole**

The continuous overcast rain made the entire city feel gloomy.

It was rush hour, and the bustling commuters on the street held umbrellas, hurrying towards the subway entrance through the rain.

"Stay close to them!"

Amidst the bustling crowd, a short-haired woman in a black, tight-fitting leather outfit with a beautiful face stared intently at two burly white men in the crowd.

The two burly white men held umbrellas. Aside from their slightly fierce demeanor, they looked like ordinary commuters.

But Selene could smell the scent of these 'big dogs' from two hundred meters away.

They were too familiar, so familiar that they had become a blood feud between the two races spanning hundreds, even thousands, of years.

Selene nimbly followed the two burly white men, weaving through the crowd, occasionally gesturing for her companions behind her to keep up.

"Pitter-patter!"

The rain was heavy, drumming loudly on the pedestrians' umbrellas.

The cold rain slid down, and everyone under their umbrellas wished they could curl their entire bodies beneath them.

This hurrying crowd holding umbrellas became Selene's best cover.

She occasionally used the figures of passersby to conceal herself, her gaze fixed on her targets ahead.

"Why aren't these filthy 'big dogs' hiding in the Sewer? How dare they openly appear on the streets of New York!"

The rain wet her black hair. Selene subconsciously touched the pistol at her waist.

As the Vampire Clan's most outstanding Death Dealer in nearly a hundred years, countless Werewolves had died by her hand.

Selene felt a deep, visceral disgust for these filthy 'big dogs' who had killed her parents and family.

"Sniff... sniff..."

One of the two burly white men suddenly stopped, his nostrils flaring as if he smelled something.

He abruptly turned his head, his gaze locking onto Selene behind him.

"Stinking bat!"

The burly white man, wearing a denim jacket and displaying thick chest hair, cursed furiously. He suddenly drew a pistol from behind him, aimed it at Selene, and pulled the trigger.

"Bang bang bang~~"

Intense gunfire erupted, and the entire street seemed to explode into chaos.

Many people immediately dropped their umbrellas and expertly rushed to the sides of the street to find cover.

The street was filled with people fleeing in panic.

"Bang bang bang..."

Selene arched her body backward, performing a move almost impossible for a human. Her body was nearly parallel to the ground. After dodging the bullets, her hands moved nimbly at her waist.

Two black Beretta F92S pistols appeared in Selene's hands.

The two clearly modified black pistols fired at a rate comparable to automatic rifles in her hands.

The two drew their guns and fired at each other. Bullets whizzed through the crowd, and occasionally, unlucky individuals were hit, falling to the ground and screaming in agony.

Bang bang bang bang...

The burly white man's companion reacted, drew his pistol, and joined the fight.

On the other side, several Death Dealers who had been following Selene also arrived.

The two sides clashed, with the Death Dealers clearly having a numerical advantage.

"Bang!"

A silver-white bullet grazed the burly white man's cheek, leaving a bloodstain the thickness of a finger.

The bullet, mixed with silver nitrate, made the burly white man's wound hiss and smoke as if it had been splashed with strong acid.

"Roar!"

The burly white man roared in pain, reaching up to cover his cheek. In the depths of his eyes, a faint, bestial light like that of a wolf's eye emanated.

"Bang bang bang"

The burly white man emptied his clip in one go, then awkwardly dragged his companion, who had taken several bullets, towards a nearby Alley.

"Chase them!" Selene growled, holding a gun in each hand, pursuing them directly into the Alley.

Disordered footsteps were not far ahead. Selene suddenly felt a chill run down her spine. She abruptly stopped, her body flashing quickly to press tightly against the wall.

"Bang_"

A bullet flashing with purple fluorescence almost grazed her leather outfit.

"Ah!..."

Behind Selene, a Death Dealer who had just caught up was unlucky enough to take the bullet. He instantly turned into a pile of flying ash amidst painful wails.

"What was that?"

Selene could almost feel her heart, which had seemingly stopped for an unknown duration, pounding wildly.

Facing death, she suddenly felt a dryness in her mouth.

"I'll hold off these stinking bats, you go inform the BOSS!"

Around the corner of the Alley, the burly white man looked at his companion, who was subtly losing control and about to reveal his Beast Form.

He frowned and shouted as he loaded Ultraviolet Bullets into his clip.

"Roar!"

Before he could finish speaking, a thick wolf paw landed on his shoulder.

A grey-furred Werewolf, standing over two meters tall when upright, let out a roar and leaped directly over the burly white man, charging out into the Alley.

"OMG, what is that monster..."

In a corner of the Alley, under a makeshift shelter built from cardboard boxes, a raggedly dressed homeless man watched the surreal scene before him and couldn't help but exclaim.

"Damn it!"

The burly white man watched his completely transformed companion, his brows furrowed. With a backhand shot, he blew the homeless man's head off.

Then, without looking back, he ran towards the depths of the Alley.

"Bang bang bang..."

Intense gunfire erupted behind him, but the burly white man completely ignored it.

He ran frantically, one hand covering his face, the other holding his gun. He needed to get back to the Wolf Den as quickly as possible to inform the Leader.

The Perfect Blood was crucial to the Leader's great undertaking, concerning the rise of the Werewolves. It would be troublesome if those Vampires found out.

"Get out of the way!"

At the end of the Alley, a figure holding a black umbrella calmly walked towards the burly white man.

The Alley wasn't wide, and both sides were already piled high with debris. The umbrella of the person walking towards him nearly blocked half the Alley.

The burly white man didn't think twice and simply charged into him.

Bang! The moment the burly white man's shoulder made contact with the person's body, he felt something was wrong. It felt like hitting a steel plate.

He looked up in astonishment. Under the umbrella, a pair of deep eyes stared at him with interest.

Like a butcher in a slaughterhouse staring at a lamb about to be slaughtered.

———————

Werewolves are creatures with strong physiques and Super Self-Healing Ability. Ordinary pistol bullets are useless against them.

A fully transformed Werewolf in Beast Form is enough to slaughter an unprepared Federal Police unit.

However, for Vampires who have fought them for hundreds of years, they know the habitual weaknesses of these 'big dogs' well.

Silver, just like they fear Sunlight, these Werewolves fear Silver.

"Splish!"

Selene swung her silver-plated medieval two-handed sword with a backhand stroke, directly cleaving off a massive wolf head.

"Trouble!"

Selene wiped her antique knight's sword. Looking at the bullet her companion handed her, the faint purple light shimmering within the crystal-like bullet head made her murmur.
