"It's actually the Konoha White Fang? How scary!"
Zenkichi squinted at the Konoha ninjas surrounding them and shouted exaggeratedly, reminiscent of Admiral Kizaru from the pirate world.
"Zenkichi, be serious. The Konoha White Fang is not easy to deal with—we're in real danger."
Terumi Mei reminded Zenkichi with a solemn expression, clearly unsettled by the situation.
The person leading the encirclement was none other than Hatake Sakumo, the White Fang of Konoha, a famed shadow-level powerhouse who had slain countless elite shinobi with his short white blade.
Even the higher-ups in Kirigakure had issued standing orders: if you encounter the Konoha White Fang on a mission, abort immediately if possible.
"This is the Third Ninja War. What are Kirigakure ninjas doing in the Land of Fire?"
Sakumo stood at the front of the Konoha formation, staring coldly at Zenkichi and his team.
"We're on a mission, of course! With the four great villages clashing all over the continent, our Kirigakure can't just sit back on the island—we came to scout the situation."
Zenkichi answered nonchalantly. Even surrounded, he appeared totally relaxed.
"In that case, there's nothing more to discuss."
Sakumo gestured forward. Instantly, the Konoha ninjas shifted into a combat stance.
"Please, forgive me! I came here in a good mood—how about we all pretend this never happened?"
Zenkichi grinned with a playful, almost mocking air.
Sakumo's face remained grim. He clearly had no intention of letting them go. The Konoha shinobi lunged forward without hesitation.
"There's no other choice... Infinite Light!"
"The Art of Blinding a Dog's Eyes!"
(Made up)
Zenkichi curled his lip, and a blinding golden light erupted from his body.
He seemed to transform into a miniature sun, emitting a radiant, intense glow.
The Konoha ninjas, who had been fixated on him, cried out in pain as their vision was overwhelmed by the light. Eyes squeezed shut, they stumbled back, disoriented.
"What kind of ninjutsu is this?"
Sakumo's eyes widened behind closed lids. The technique was terrifying.
If deployed on the battlefield, it could completely cripple an enemy's ability to see, disrupting formations and communication. It was a strategic-level jutsu.
"We have to eliminate him."
Sakumo made his decision and closed his eyes, relying on sensory perception to locate Zenkichi.
He was an expert assassin and highly skilled at tracking targets even without vision.
In a blink, he appeared beside Zenkichi, his short blade flashing with white light as it slashed down.
But it missed.
Despite his senses telling him otherwise, his blade hadn't struck true.
"How scary. The Konoha White Fang really is a monster."
"But light can't be cut. Now it's my turn."
Zenkichi spoke with casual ease, raising one long leg as a golden cross-shaped flash lit up beneath his heel.
"Speed is weight. Konoha White Fang, have you ever been kicked at the speed of light?"
The glowing heel spun and crashed toward Sakumo like a cannonball.
Sakumo barely dodged. The blast of light struck a nearby tree, slicing it clean in half.
"Retreat!"
Sakumo barked the order. The Konoha squad quickly turned away from the blinding light and began falling back.
Though still recovering from temporary blindness, they were able to escape with their backs to the light source.
Ding! Achievement unlocked – Defeated Konoha White Fang. Template character: Borsalino (Kizaru) unlocked – 11% synchronization!
Well,as you all probably guessed, Zenkichi isn't from this world. To be specific, he's a transmigrator.
He had been reborn in Kirigakure as a civilian orphan.
At first, he wasn't thrilled with where he had landed.
After all, this world's protagonist was clearly in Konoha, while Kirigakure was often the punching bag.
And judging by the timeline, it wouldn't be long before Uchiha Obito manipulated the village into becoming the infamous "Bloody Mist," turning it into a battleground of internal slaughter.
Zenkichi had felt pretty hopeless—until he awakened his golden finger: the God-Level Imitation System.
The system allowed him to unlock powerful templates by mimicking characters.
Currently, he was imitating Admiral Kizaru from the pirate world, a logia-type user of the Glint-Glint Fruit and an incredibly powerful figure.
To unlock Kizaru's template, he had to act like him in everyday life, but greater progress could be made by imitating him during important moments.
Like just now—by repelling the White Fang in true Kizaru fashion, his synchronization rate had leapt forward significantly.
"Zenkichi, are you going to chase them down?"
Terumi Mei looked at him, clearly fired up. She hadn't expected the usually lazy Zenkichi to be this strong.
"Chase them? Nah. I came here in a chill mood. I'm not doing something so troublesome."
Zenkichi replied lazily, embodying Kizaru's laid-back, lazy attitude.
"What a waste of a golden opportunity…"
Their teammate Ao looked frustrated, clearly thinking they could have gained more from the situation.
"Konoha's White Fang couldn't touch me, but I also couldn't kill him. More importantly, I can't guarantee your safety."
Zenkichi's expression turned more serious. He genuinely cared about his teammates.
They had worked together for years. That bond meant something.
Though he could imitate Kizaru, that didn't make him Kizaru.
True imitation required capturing the spirit of the person, and for Zenkichi, this was more like a form of spiritual training.
"Our mission was just reconnaissance. Now that we've encountered Konoha's White Fang, our job here is done."
Zenkichi yawned and spoke with indifference.
There was no denying it—Kizaru's approach to life had its perks.
Immense power, paired with an easygoing attitude, made everything much more manageable.
"Alright. Meeting Konoha's White Fang is reason enough for us to head back and report."
Terumi Mei nodded, and the trio began their return to the frontline base of Kirigakure.
