Chapter 8 - CAFE

She looked round the shop packed to the brim with people for an empty seat, finding one at the corner most part of the shop.

Walking to the seat, she seat down but realized mu hao who has been following her all this while was standing beside in a slightly offset position.

"Why don't you join me, you don't have to stand like that, people would think I'm bullying you" she said smiling trying to lighten the air between them but his stoic face wasn't helping.

"Don't worry, I'm fine here" he replied in a cold expressionless voice.

Li yinxun opened her mouth to convince him but shut them back not knowing what to say to convince, 'was he this cold to everyone or was it just her' she thought curiously in her head finding it difficult to understand him.

"Good day ma'am what can I get you please" a waiter said walking up to Madeline with a notepad in his hand.

Picking up the menu, she scanned through it quickly, she opened her mouth to speak but a loud voice distracted her drawing her attention to it's sources.

"What do you mean by they are no free seats, do you know who we are" the loud voice of a woman resounded throughout the cafe drawing all the attention of the customers including herself.

Li yinxun looked at the all too well familiar face of the woman, feeling an implicite emotions as she looked at the trio standing in the middle of the cafe, Li jing her step sister, Goa yaun her ex fiance and Chen Lili Li jing's mother.

She looked at them with a cold expression in her eyes watching the drama unfold.

"Ma please I'm sorry but they are no free seats around, you can go somewhere else" the waitress said looking down in a submissive stand.

"Go somewhere else, don't you love your life anymore, I can make you lose your job if I wanted to" Chen lili said in a voice filled with rage looking at the waitress.

"Ma'am I'm sorry but I can't help you, it's either you wait for a customer to finish or you find somewhere else" the waitress said walking away annoyance noticeable in her voice.

"You have the guts to walk out on me" Chen lili said loudly almost going after the waitress but was stopped by Li jing.

"It's okay mother we can find somewhere else" Li jing said holding her mother's shoulder, in a soft gentle voice like a whisper.

She looked at the waitress who had gone ahead to serve others, marking her face in her head she promised herself to get back at her for this embarrassment but she couldn't do it in front of Goa Chen.

Her eyes flashed with a hint of viciousness, her eyes lingering on the girl's back, suddenly she saw a very familiar figures sitting at the corner most part of the shop.

'Li yinxun? what was she doing here, and how could she afford a dinner here, had dad increase her monthly allowance behind her back' she thought her eyes flashing irritation.

Li yinxun couldn't waste her time on this people, turning back to the waiter she began placing her order when a voice from behind her interrupted her.

"What do you mean it's okay we can have dinner somewhere else, didn't you see how much that girl humiliated us, I would never let this slide. Someone get me the manager of this place, I need the manager" she said loudly looking round for the so called manager.

"It's okay auntie, we don't have to banter with such insignificant people, we are bigger than them, let's go somewhere else" Goa yaun said trying to calm the agitated Chen Lili down.

"But.." she tried to defend herself.

"That's enough mother, I know you must feel aggrieved by what just happened and finding a knew cafe may be hard but we can't force a customer to leave now can we" Li jing said gentle, on the outside it looked like she was trying to convince her mother but if one looked closely you would realize she was getting at something.

Chen lili looked confused at Li jing, 'why would they force a customer to leave' she thought confused at why Li jing would even suggest such, she realized Li jing was looking at someone intensely following her gaze, she found her, Li yinxun her step daughter sitting there at the corner most part of the cafe looking through a menu.

'What! a worthless girl like Li yinxun could have a table and she couldn't' she thought infuriated.

Matching to where Li yinxun sat, she stood before Li yinxun, "you insolent child, you saw your mother struggling to find an empty seat and you couldn't give up your seat for her, how unfilial can you be.."
