Chapter 12 - ch -12 peaceful time

As the early morning sunlight peeked through the window, Akg slowly opened his eyes. Nestled in his arms was Rena, her tiny body warm and peaceful as she snuggled close, a faint smile on her face.

He gently brushed a strand of hair from her forehead and whispered,

"Rena, it's morning."

Rena stirred slightly, then opened her big, shining eyes, meeting his gaze. Akg smiled, then carefully slipped out of her embrace so as not to wake her too abruptly. He stretched a little and made his way to the bathroom to freshen up.

As warm water poured down over him, clearing his mind, he suddenly felt a presence behind him. Startled, he turned—and there stood Rena, quietly watching him with her usual soft expression.

"R-Rena?! What are you doing here?" Akg stammered, quickly wrapping a towel around his waist, his face flushing red.

Just then, a gentle voice echoed in his mind, sweet and clear.

"Master, I wanted to bathe with you."

Akg blinked, stunned.

"Was that… your voice? Rena, did you just speak to me?"

Rena nodded cheerfully, her eyes sparkling.

His shock faded into amazement—and joy.

"You can speak to me telepathically now? That's amazing!"

Rena giggled softly in his mind, her smile brightening.

"Alright… you can stay. Let's finish up quickly," Akg said, still blushing slightly.

After their bath, Akg dressed himself and helped Rena dry her hair, then turned to her with a smile.

"I'm going to make breakfast. You can rest while I prepare it."

But Rena's voice chimed again in his head, full of determination.

"No, Master! I want to help you cook!"

He gave a helpless chuckle, scratching the back of his head.

"Alright, alright. But don't burn anything."

Together, they stood in the kitchen, Rena handing him ingredients with her small hands or using her psychic powers to float things over. Most of the actual cooking was done by Akg, but Rena's bright presence made the moment feel warm and alive.

Once breakfast was ready, they sat at the table—just the two of them. The simple meal tasted better than ever with her by his side.

After eating, Akg cleaned up, then collapsed onto the couch with a satisfied sigh. Rena floated over and gently landed on his chest, curling up like a contented child.

He stroked her head gently.

"You really are something special, Rena."

She didn't speak, but her smile said it all.

In that quiet, cozy moment, wrapped in morning calm and gentle warmth, the bond between trainer and partner grew stronger—beyond words, beyond roles, like two hearts beating in sync.
