Chapter 4: Let's have an agreement.
As she was about to reply him. Her stomach made an hungry noise, so loud that everyone in the room heard.
She bowed her head in disappointment. She remembered she was on her way to eat before she ended up here.
"Sit down, take the menu and order what you want." Scott told Flora.
Everyone in the room were surprised, including Maxson. Is my brother charmed by her beauty or figure? What on earth did she do to him? First time showing kindness to a woman? Or did he like her? Maxson smiled to himself.
Roy, Gad and Micheal who were silent throughout were also amazed. "You don't have to show it obviously to us, we would definitely get someone also." Micheal said operating on his system.
What are they saying? Get who? Do I look like I am having anything with their friend? Flora sat down, the waiter attended to her after she has chosen a dish to eat.
"I am done eating. Thanks so much sir." Flora thanked Scott for the meal. She was about leaving when he called her back.
"We haven't discuss about how you will pay for what you did today, or should I allow you go just like that?"
"Emmm, no, can we discuss outside?" Flora told Scott.
Joel followed the two outside, leading them to the car park. On the way, Flora was lost in thought, thinking they were outside to discuss the issue, why is he taking her to his car then? Is Mr billionaire so kind to take her home?.
"You can leave us for now." Scott told Joel. "Enter the car, let's talk."
What does he want to say asking me to get inside the car? She checked her phone for time, it was past 8.
With a subduing cold aura, Scott said, "Let's get married, it would be a contract marriage and I'll be paying you every month, what did you see about that?
"Marriage? With you? Mr Scott, what did you take me for? And is this how you want me to pay you back for the wrong I did? I thought you were going to ask me to assist in getting the girl back."
Flora asked amazingly. She never thought this would be the man's request. Since Broe had showed his inhuman behavior, she had vowed to never give another man a chance, because she believed they are all the same.
"It rare to find a trustworthy man", she said to herself.
"I won't rush you, you can take your time to think about it. My parents and grandparents had been disturbing me to find a lady to get married to. I won't accept if they force me into marrying a lady they choose themselves. So, at least we can pretend we are real couple, after sometime I'll let you go. What about that?"
Scott speech made Flora more flickered. It sounded as if that was the longest sentence he had ever made on his life. His speech were always short and commanding.
"Okay, I'll think about it, since you ask me politely." It was as if his voice affected everything about her. She couldn't deny she fell for what he had just told her.
"I am giving you 3 days to make your decision. My assistant gave you his card already. Do well to reach out to him if you want to see me. Where do you live? Let me drop you off."
"No, don't bother. I'll get home in few minutes time."
"Joel.... You can go home, make sure everything is prepared for tomorrow."
"Yes sir, I'll do that." Joel left immediately he replied his boss. Just then, a young man in his early twenties came and now to Scott.
"Let's go." Scott said to the young man.
"Yes sir." Raphael went in to the driver seat and start the car. Flora who was still in the car was dumbfounded.
"Where did you stay?" Scott asked with a cold voice.
"Minute Rolland area, that is where I stay." She said with an uncomfortable emotion. Everything that happened that night was still a shock to her.
"Drive to Minute Rolland area." The young driver bowed his head in response to his boss command.
Few minutes later, Flora got down from the car and thanked Scott for the ride. She left hurriedly into her apartment, switching on the light in her room.
She fell on her bed and gave a long sigh. Was everything real that had happened to her today? Getting married to the wealthiest bachelor in City B is the last thing she would ever thought of.
Why would he chose her of all other beautiful ladies in town? Who is she compared to the Silver Sky Family? And would his family members be satisfied with her, a lady from an average family.
Flora began to think, she couldn't catch a glimpse of everything going on inside her head. She stood up, undress herself, went into the bathroom and took a shower. After that, she went to bed.
