Chapter 2 - Thought

The game lasted well into the night.

The bar owner also didn't blame them for staying in his bar without ordering anything, he thought it was quite interesting to see the games they played, maybe one day his bar would be famous because of their small group.

Well who knows the future. The bar owner also gave their group free snacks, as a token of his gratitude.

The four of them parted ways, returning to their respective homes.

Wan's initially warm smile turned flat as if his happiness had ended. His steps also looked heavy as if there was a burden on every step he took.

"Hah..., another boring day" Wan sighed disappointedly to herself, and his steps became even heavier.

Wan herself thought that Sundays were the only days where fun would come to him, even if he could turn back time, he might have done it already.

Besides being a compliment enthusiast, he himself liked to play his creations with others, especially with people she considered like his own siblings.

...

After a very long walk, Wan had reached his own house.

His house was not that big, but it was still quite comfortable to live in, besides that his house was almost in the corner of the city of Luciano, which made he forced to hear the noise every time morning came, because besides his house being close to the market, his house was also close to the dark district, which made he either morning or night unable to rest in peace.

Wan opened the door of the house that looked to be made of pale-colored and fragile-looking wood slowly for fear of the door breaking.

Inside the house was dim without light, but faintly there were candles neatly arranged in every corner of the room.

"[Mini Fire Ball] Wan chanted in a low voice, his eyes also fixed on every candle in every corner.

A small flame like a match flame emerged from Wan's index finger. Without taking long he immediately walked to each corner where each candle was.

Easily every candle in every corner was lit, although the light was a bit dim, but it was enough for her to see clearly, after all he lived in this place alone.

After each candle was lit, there were four doors in his view and without much thought he entered her room. A worn white wooden door with the words 'Game Room' that seemed to be shaped with a knife, and looked very rough.

Entering the door of his room, he was immediately greeted with a trash can full of paper, he used it to write ideas about his new game and the concept, but because he was not satisfied, he just threw it away.

"Should I invent a game or just sleep?" Wan didn't feel sleepy yet, usually after the weekly meeting with his friends he also continued to create the game that he would show off next week. But for some reason today he felt a little tired.

After thinking for a long time, Wan began to organize the paper and sat in a chair while placing his pen on the table, ready to create his next game.

After thinking for a long time, he now wants to make a concept that he himself rarely makes, namely 'Freedom', because usually his games basically require players to do something and have no option to do nothing, so maybe this is the first time he has made a game with the concept of freedom.

His brain started to water, and the first concept was completed, but after rethinking what 'Freedom' meant, he decided to throw the first concept he created into the trash.

The conceptualization of the game continued, until it was midnight. The candles outside his room had run out, making he have to get up from his work table to replace the candles with new candles.

While changing the candles, Wan began to think, could he make a game mixed with magic? But without a long time he immediately discarded this idea, because apart from being an Alche (1st level Magician), she also needed the approval of Hulembert Tower.

Although it is still possible to raise the level of magic even if it takes a long time, it is still possible, but what is difficult is to get approval from Hulembert Tower, because if the item is classified as dangerous or suspected of being a new invention. Hulembert would make excuses to seize the product and would imprison him for no reason that would even usurp the achievements of the item I made.

At least that's what he knew about Hulembert Tower, besides that the most important factor was the insufficient budget, which made his idea futile even if he was strong enough, or got Hulembert Tower's approval.

"Well, what can I do" he sighed heavily as he arranged the candles neatly and walked from one corner to another.

After finishing he returned to his room and then continued to sit at his desk, when he wanted to continue making game concepts, he remembered the book he had bought at school, the price of the book was not too expensive, but it contained someone's view of what freedom was.

Wan got up from his chair and started walking to the small library of his house while carrying the key to the room.

...

The library was not very large, relatively small for a library, and there were still some empty shelves only a few shelves full of books.

"I remember that book is on the second shelf" While walking to the second shelf, he still tried to remember where he put it.

The second shelf had a lot of books, ranging from thin to thick, neatly arranged in order of thin on the left and thick on the right. The contents of the books on the second shelf were also mostly notes or thoughts that someone poured into a book.

After searching for a long time, he finally found the book he was looking for. The book did not have a cover but the color was rather striking from other books that were relatively bright, this book itself was snow white, and the contents were also quite thin which made it easy to carry around.

After finding the book he was looking for, Wan returned to his room while carrying the book in his hand.

Wan sat down at his desk while wearing he glasses and started reading the book.

Although the pages are thin, this book is easy to understand but difficult to digest. The contents of this book are more or less about 'Freedom' itself, the author of this book describes freedom itself into one word, namely 'Relative' which, although it is only one word, has many variables that are difficult for him to describe let alone understand.

After reading the book Wan began to mutter "I think I should ask about their opinions on 'Freedom' itself" in his opinion, the answers should be different, because if you follow the book he read, Freedom itself follows the view that everyone must have differences, although sometimes there are similarities but still there must be differences.

Because his body was tired, also felt quite satisfied about the progress of the next game concept he made, but still decided to postpone the game with the concept of 'freedom' because it was still too early to create, in addition to lack of magic, he also lacked information about 'freedom' itself.
