Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1

BRIELLE's POV

Beginning of flash back

"Daniella please don't go! Please I promise I'd get a new job."

"For eight years Williams. Eight fucking years! I'm done with the shit hole you call marriage."

"Mummy, please don't go."

"Hey baby, I'll be back soon, your daddy will take good care of you okay?"

"Mummy…"

End of flashback

Of course! The alarm…

This was the first day of my new job and I couldn't be late. I quickly got up from my 3 by 6 student mattress, did my body care and put on my…wait… what am I gonna put on?

I mean it's a hotel job so they would eventually give me my own uniform with my name tag. that's some cool stuff.

Focus Brielle!

I quickly put on a sweat pants and a fitted top and crocs to match, I didn't have much clothes anyways. I packed my hair in a messy bun and applied lipgloss. I'm not a lover of makeup so I always go very light every day.

Taxi was really expensive in this country, I had to walk a distance so as to reduce the cost of transportation.

When I got to the hotel, a smart young looking lady showed me around, i think her name is Sarah or Sandra… I don't know. But she earlier introduced herself as the staff manager and she was pretty nice. First day of work wouldn't be bad after all.

"So… this is your routine, you'd be on night duties only, everyday, as time goes on you wil be able to make your work schedule flexible."

"Thank you, um..."

"Samantha."

"Oh yes! Samantha. You're really nice and I'm so glad to work here. Could you please direct me to the bathroom, all these walking has made me really pressed."

"shit! I have a very important visitor to attend to right now, but just turn to the left, go to the door by the right, please make sure it's the bathroom you're entering, I've gotta go.. bye.."

Okay…. It can't be that hard can it? Just left….and door by the right…damn it! There are two doors. Maybe it's the one on the left or the right, you know what, imma just enter any door I feel like.

As I enter the room, I knew I had made the worst mistake of my entire life. There were two men; one averaged height, looks okay meanwhile the other was tall, dark, had a muscular build and a beautiful tattoo on his arm. Oh I forgot to mention, he smells heavenly.

I cleared my throat to speak because with the stares they gave me, if I stood there speechless any more minute, the gravity of their eyes would push me six feeth under the ground.

"Hi..hi…hi… my name is Brielle."

The hot guy kept his gaze on me like I had just fallen from the heavens.

"You must be the new worker." He said

Holy moly! He sounds so sexy…!

"Yes I am, nice to meet you." I said, stretching out my arms.

No response.

How rude.

"Uhhh, I'm guessing you're a worker here too. I moved in recently for college and could you believe this job is the only decent job in the whole city… what do you mean they pay people to nude dance."

I kept saying a lot of irrelevant things to this guy that obviously didn't want to listen to me.

"Can you shut up now?" He said, interrupting my normal yap session.

Ouch!

Just as I was about to speak again, Samantha entered the room.

"Oh there you are little one, I've been looking the whole area for you."

"Oh hi Samantha, I met this guy here and he's so rude, I don't like him." I whispered to Samantha's ears but it was loud enough for everyone in the room to hear.

"Brielle, he is not a worker, he is your boss." Samantha stuttered.

Oh shit! I'm definitely getting fired on my first day at work.

"Samantha, you need to do a mental test before hiring people in here." He said.

"Sorry Alfred, she was just trying to know that place."

Oh, so he's Alfred.

Alfred left the room with room without saying a word again. Samantha told me to come back later in the evening because that was when I would meet my colleagues and start working fully.

When I came back in the evening, I was handed my uniform. I must say, it's really sexy. A mini skirt, fitted crop T-shirt and of course, my name tag.

I quickly put on my working outfit and proceeded to the bar.

The girls here looked nice but I have social anxiety so, I'm not about to walk up to everyone here and exchange pleasantries.

But at the same time, I was confused and didn't know what to do until a pretty blonde approached me, she must have noticed the confusion in my face.

"Hi, I guess you're new here." She said with a warm smile.

"Yes I am, my name's Brielle, nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too, I'm Aria, the senior staff."

"Okay, so where do I start from." I asked, already to work.

"Okay, all the spaces down here are filled so you'll have to stay up for the night, that's where the boss and his friends stay."

The boss again?

"Oh! Can't I exchange with someone at least, please, I don't wanna stay there."

Aria laughed. "Funny girl, why don't you want to stay there, you get more tip there tho, just do it for today and try to come early tomorrow so you won't have to go up again."

"Okay, thanks a lot."

"You're welcome girl, I've gotta go now, I have a lot of orders to serve, enjoy your first day at work." Aria said and walked out, swaying her beautiful waist.

I'm certainly not going to have a good first day at work, hence I'd be seeing that man….guy… or whatever he is.

I went up and the place looked more chill than the down section. I went straight to the counter and old woman making the cocktails didn't seem to be happy to see me.

Maybe she didn't like my face.

"Hi I'm Brielle, the new worker." I said to her

No response.

She shoved the tray of cocktails she had already done and I began duty.

I thought these were the only people that would be up here but I was wrong. As the night progressed, more customers arrived. But I was pretty fast with my service so I wasn't really affected.

But one thing is for sure, the eyes of these men were piercing into my soul. I mean, if eyes could kill, I would be where my grandma is by now and plus, I noticed my skirt was the shortest amongst all the workers here which elaborated my hour glass figure even though it's flare.

It was 3AM and everyone had gone. I helped in cleaning and packing the chairs. Luckily, I didn't see my boss tonight which made it the best first day at work.

Just as I was walking out I noticed a manly figure escorting all the girls to their cars. As I came closer, the manly figure became more visible. It was…

My boss. Now seeing him just wanna make me run. Why do I dislike his presence so much?

Aria was walking beside me and I couldn't help but ask.

"Why's he escorting the girls to their cars and Taxi?"

"He does that every night, to make sure his girls are safe." Aria responded.

His girls? I'm definitely not his girl, I just work for him.

"Are you heading towards the road to the nearby bakery?" Aria asked, entering her car.

"No I'm not, I live very far from there."

"Okay I would have loved to drop you off though."

"Nah it's fine, I know my way home." I gave a her warm smile.

Aria was about starting her car when a deep voice called out.

And once again, it's my boss.

"Hey Aria, wait." He said so authoritatively.

He came closer to Aria's car and asked her a few questions. It wasn't my business so I wasn't paying attention.

"Stay safe and don't come to work late tomorrow." He said.

"I never come to work late, Alfred." Aria laughed before drivingoff.

Alfred started walking closer to me and for some reason, I felt my heart racing. He's so damn cute, his tattoos makes me so happy.

Stay still Brielle!

"You don't have a car?" He asked, sarcastically.

Of course I don't have a car, isn't that obvious already.

"Oh yes I don't, wanted to book a taxi tho." I said calmly.

"I had that done already, enter this car, stay safe and come to work early tomorrow." He quickly said.

That was too fast, it was almost like he was tired of seeing my face.

"Bye." I muffled under my breath and the car zoomed off.

When I went to my dorm, I quickly did my homework and took my sedatives. I have class by 10AM and I can't be late.

I tried calling dad to share my experience about my first day at work but as usual, he didn't pick my call.

Oh well.
