Chapter 5 - Chapter 1.5: Catherine Earnshaw

Growing up in a orphanage she has never had a place to call home. The feeling of entering through a door and be greeted by familiar people and people she trusted was a foreign concept to her. Until he came into her life.

A young boy, around her age, brown hair just like hers just a bit darker his name was, Heathcliff. And his father Mr. Earnshaw. The moment he and her meet eyes, it sparked. They could feel it, they shared a connection of many years, somehow. Mr. Earnshaw decides to adopt her. Taking her to mt. Azeroth where their mansion is, the Wuthering Heights.

Growing up together in said mansion, Heathcliff gradually falls for Catherine.

He made all his choices for her benefit and with her as his main priority. Though his perception was warped by the disbelief that she could love him back in return. For the sake of Catherine, he decided it would be best to marry Lindella despite not having romantic feelings for her, using her for his benefit to further achieve his goals.

Catherine of course loved Heathcliff back, but she had to push those feelings aside knowing that he was now married.

On Heathcliff's birthday after being gifted a magical Artifact-Class mirror to be able to see into the parting worlds that could have been; he came to understand that in none of these the two of them could be happy together. Heathcliff hated himself for bringing such sorrow to the women he loved so dearly, so much to the point of giving up his life for her. This was only for the chance to give her happiness.

Catherine in deep sorrow after finding out about Heathcliff's passing, blames him for all her suffering and pain that she is feeling, yet she also begs his spirit to haunt her so that they could spend more time together.

She felt connected to him so strongly that she even considered digging out his grave and having herself buried next to him. But she stopped. That was a line she did not cross. Instead she moved on, even if it took years, decades even. She moved on and deciding to become celibate. And training the way of the two swords as a way to distract herself from the ever-growing remorse.

Before moving away from the Wuthering Heights, she took what she deemed the most necessary, the Twin Blades of Rellana, her locket with a picture of Heathcliff in it that she wore all the time, and the ring passed down from her ancestors, a small silver ring. She later found rest at a small village down by a small mountain, Tanlónâ.

Hoping to find a new peaceful life there. She takes the family name of Earnshaw, Heathcliff's father and worked as an innkeeper and peacekeeper in the town with her self-taught sword style.
