In the thick forest, there was a young girl named Amanda, she was the princess of a small village called 'Okpokolu'.
Amanda was the only child of her parents and already being a princess, her life was like a dream. Everyday was filled with new adventures, everyone, including the villagers and the maids, adored her not because she was the princess but because she was kind, nice, helpful and a smart little girl.
With time passing, she grew bigger. She was now 8 still enjoying the company of her parents. But reality had to be soo cruel, her parents passed away after some months, they were shot by a masked figure. Despite how sad the whole village was, they still needed a king and queen.
The chiefs of Okpokolu village held a meeting and decided that Amanda's uncle should be the new king. So her uncle(her dad's younger brother) took over the throne.
Him and his family moved to the palace. He had a wife, Elizabeth, and 3 daughters, Ada, Amara and Amaka.
Amanda loved that her uncle's daughters came to the palace, because she was an only child. She only played with her parents or the maids, she never had the chance to play with other children like her.
Amanda liked the company of her uncle's daughters, but she didn't very much enjoy the company of Amara. Amara always annoys her, insults her and blames her for things she didn't do. Amanda decided to be kind and forgive her. But one day, when Amara wore her crown, she snapped.
Amanda: Amara. Where are you?
Amara: Stop shouting my name.
Amanda: What are you doing in my room? And what are you wearing on your head- Is that my crown?
Amara: I saw it-
Amanda: Take it off! Now!!
Amara refused to take it off and it led to a huge fight. When Elizabeth asked what the problem was, Amara lied and said that Amanda attacked her for nothing because she was jealous of her crown. Instead, the crown was for Amanda.
Elizabeth: Stop. What's going on? Why are you two fighting?
Amara: Mom, Amanda wants to take my crown-
Amanda: It's a lie, the crown is mine. Amara went into my room and took my crown without my permission and wore it, and want her to take it off now.
Amara: Your crown? If you wanted the crown, you should've just asked, I could've given it to you. Other than forcing me to take it off.
Amanda: But-
Elizabeth:(Interrupts) Amanda it's not right for you to take what doesn't belong to you.
Amanda: But i-
Elizabeth:(Interrupts) If you want it, then you should ask for it before taking it. Do you understand?
Amanda: But the-
Elizabeth:(Interrupts) Do You Understand?!!
Amanda:(Sadly) Yes, aunty.
Elizabeth: Good, now give Amara her crown.
Then Amanda gave Amara the crown.
Amara: Thank you, next time you ask before you can take it.
Amara walked out.
Elizabeth: I thought you were nice, gentle and reasonable but now you're showing off a very bad character. This should never repeat itself. Am I clear?
Amanda:(Sadly)Yes, aunty.
Elizabeth: If you want a new crown, I'll get you one.
