The next morning, I arrive at Victor Thorne's office unannounced. His secretary tries to stop me, but one look at my expression sends her scurrying back to her desk.
Victor looks up from his computer as I enter. His face is pale, with dark circles under his eyes. The man clearly didn't sleep after our conversation last night.
"Aiden." He stands quickly, his chair rolling backward. "I wasn't expecting—"
"We need to talk business." I close the door behind me and activate the privacy lock. "Real business this time."
Victor's hands tremble as he gestures toward the sitting area. "Of course. Please, sit down. Can I get you coffee? Water?"
"Information." I settle into the leather chair across from his desk. "Tell me about the Vance family's business empire."
The color drains from Victor's face completely. "The Vance family? Why would you—" He stops himself, remembering last night's revelations. "What do you want to know?"
"Everything."
