Beetle drones swarmed from all sides. Kael tore through them mid-air, dodging plasma blasts while Artemis and Superboy cleared the ground. Miss Martian shielded the civilians as Hive warriors tried to mind-link with Kael.
He screamed as images flashed through his mind: alien laboratories, dead Saiyans, Kryptonian towers in ruin, Viltrumites tearing apart worlds.
They were trying to awaken him.
"You are the last vessel," one Hive priest hissed through telepathy. "The God-Warrior. The Omega Host."
Kael's aura exploded.
